Posting Phantom Cars

Delaware Cadillac is posting phantom cars that are aren’t event available to lure people into calling them or going to their dealership. Once there they inform you the car is unavailable and was sold. Problem is, it’s clear they’re being dishonest. A few weeks ago, I was in Rehoboth Beach and happened to do a search for Escalade sport and the app showed that Delaware Cadillac had the perfect car that I was looking for available. so I drove up to Wilmington to look at it. once I got there they told me the car was unavailable and try to get me to look at something else, but I was only interested in that specific car, so I was on my way here. It is three weeks later and they still show that Escalade as available so this time I emailed them and they did tell me it wasn’t available when I asked why they keep it listed as available. He stopped replying to my emails.

THE ONLY PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR NEXT VEHICLE

Delaware Cadillac is a first class dealership with a first class staff. I had the privilege of working with Scott Bernard and I can say without a shadow of a doubt it was my best experience at a dealership and will be buying the rest of my vehicles through Scott at Delaware Cadillac. I’m confident all the salesman there are ready to give anybody the same experience Scott provided for me. At most dealership if your not their customer it’s like your invisible but not here. They all treated me like I was there customer holding open doors making sure I didn’t need anything and even just an introduction and small conversation. All things you just won’t experience anywhere else. Don’t let the name scare you away thinking you can’t afford it that their a Cadillac dealership. I promise you if you give them the chance they’ll get you in the car you want for the best price possible. So you don’t have to read anymore reviews go over to Delaware Cadillac and give my new buddy Scott the opportunity to get you into your next vehicle. And if he isn’t available I’m sure and of the other staff would be interested in helping. It will be the best decision you make.

Devalued Buyer

1. Viewed a used car at the dealership before pics posted 2. Started credit app same day 3. Purchased car in 2 days, but had knowingly not been serviced because it had just arrived. 4. While transferring belongings to the new vehicle, it was discovered that the trunk struts weren’t holding the door open. Agent and his supervisor came out to help and told me they’d take care of the struts when the car came back in for servicing and I was greatly appreciative. The insult came when the agent decided to “connect” with me by flaunting his love for “Hip Hop”... I understand establishing a relationship with the customer, but the car already sold itself... that was offensively extra!.. nothing to prove considering the times we’re in. 5. Told to wait for a call for service appointment. As per The agent, car would be detailed, wipers replaced, tires if needed, tighten engine mount and trunk struts 6. After a week, no one called to tell me where we were in the process. So, I called and was told to wait for a call back for the appt day and time 7. Received a letter from auto team saying that I needed to get the car inspected 8. After I got the car inspected, I called auto team back and was told that I didn’t need to do that because it would’ve been done after servicing. Inspection identified top brake light is out 9. Finally got a call on June 30th to bring the car in on July 1st 10. When dropping the car off and receiving a loaner, they told me that the car would be ready when I got off of work the following day July 2nd. 11. When I came back the next day, they forgot to call me to tell me that the radiator was damaged during servicing and wouldn’t be ready until July 6th at the earliest. They ran down a list of things that were to be done and didn’t mention the trunk struts. They said they weren’t approved on the invoice. I told them I was told they would be and they said they’ll find out what happened. 12. I finally got a call back on Tuesday July 7th at 4pm to tell me the car was ready. 13. After getting in the car, the radio wasn’t working because the battery was disconnected from the car at some point. Toni helped me search for the code and got it working again. 14. After getting home, my wife saw that car hadn’t been vacuumed and streaks of dirt could be found around the window frames and I have pics to prove it. In absolute fairness, I was given an amazing opportunity to purchase the vehicle and I’m certain they worked hard to get me approved for the loan. But I truly don’t feel this would’ve been the experience for someone purchasing a $30,000 car. My car was only $8,000, but you don’t get to treat people this way. Maybe this was happenstance, but it felt continually hurtful. I love the car, but it’s the last I’ll buy from there. And this was the 2nd car I’d purchased in 5 years.

Retired Air Force

I always receive excellent service. I have a 23 and 33 year old Saabs. Service actually had the mechanic pull a recirculation valve off of an abandoned Saab 9000 and put it on mine... $avings. They do what they can to satisfy.

Outstanding and Professional

My first time in the dealership was the day after I had been in an accident that totalled my old car. Drew Aaron was friendly, understanding, and incredibly helpful. This was my first stop and I looked at a couple other cars before I came back, but I knew I was coming back to buy my car from Drew. After we signed the paperwork, we Drew Baker (another Drew, just to make things confusing) came over and showed us everything we needed to know about the infotainment system. That helped a lot as it does so much more than my old car! My only complaint would be that they have minimal parking on site, but that's the nature of their location and we didn't have too much trouble. A wonderful experience and an excellent car. I would highly recommend them.

Not as advertised

I purchased a used car for my son who lives in Delaware. The car was listed on the Kia website, on the seller's website, and on Carfax as Certified Kia Pre-Owned. I asked what was "Certified Pre-Owned," Mike Cassidy said the service tech did a vehicle inspection, but the Certified Pre-Own wasn't included in the listed price. It seems outrageous that a car listed as Certified Pre-Owned, isn't Certified Pre-Owned. I called Kia and was told that their dealers are independent businesses that post cars on the Kia website and Kia is not responsible for what they post. WOW! The transaction went smoothly, Mike was very helpful and my son likes the car.
