About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since March 2009.
J.L. Freed has a long and distinguished history in Lansdale and has from the beginning remained a family-owned business. In 1883 George Gerhart and Joseph Oberholtzer formed a partnership that specialized in the trading of agricultural implements. Four years later at the age of 28 Jacob L. Freed purchased the Gerhart interest in the business. The company which was located on Susquehanna Avenue in Lansdale operated as Oberholtzer & Freed until 1902 when Jacob Freed bought the Oberholtzer interest.

Won’t honor AC WARRANTY on civic , THEY TOOK AC apart and

Won’t honor AC WARRANTY on civic , THEY TOOK AC apart and now it is blowing white smoke, THEY already fixed AC IN 2020 , NOW THEY WON’ T HONOR IT IN 2024 even though it is under warranty

REFUSING TO FIX MY AC I own a 2016 honda civic that has had a bad AC since i bought it, in 2020 , i had to have it fixed under warranty, now in 2024 it is doing the same thing and has two extended warranties on it and the refuse to HONOR THEM BUT THEY WILL FIX IT FOR 2300 dollars plus tax and they charged me 85 dollars to look at it which I was never told before hand, i have been a customer since early 2000’s but never again, JL FREED HONDA DEALERSHIP TRIED TO GET ME FOR 2300 dollars plus tax for something that should be covered, the 2016 civics to the 2021 civics are NOTORIOUS FOR AC PROBLEMS , HONDA IS A RIP OFF AND SOLD ME A LEMON THAT HAS HAD AC PROBLEMS FROM THE START AND NOW REFUSE TO FIX THEM, I will NEVER DEAL WITH HONDA AGAIN, HONDA AND JL FREED DEALERSHIP IS ONLY WORRIED ABOUT MONEY AND NOT HONORING AND EXTENDED WARRANTY, A 10 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE TH AC. SYSTEM IS THAT BAD, THANKS FOR TREATING A 20 YEAR CUSTOMER LIKE GARBAGE

Very disappointed!

Very disappointed! Was a loyal JL Freed Honda customer for 11 years and referred my daughter and my mother in law who bought cars from them as well. Our regular salesman moved away and we were given a new salesman who did absolutely nothing for us. He was not willing to work with us on pricing nor did he realize that we had more business to do with them in the near future. Needless to say, went to Subaru dealer and completely left the Honda brand.

Disappointed in this dealership.

Disappointed in this dealership. They care more about profits then customers. Honda put the incorrect fluid into my transmission and the now the transmission is having issues. They refuse to take any responsibilty for the mistake not ever reduce the cost for the recommend service. what a joke

Nico was our salesperson He was very polite, informative,, he was easy to work with, and we felt no pressure and felt confidence in our purchase from JL Freed. In addition, the finance manager, Doug, Walter was extremely helpful and articulate and explained the process with professionalism… This is our second car we have purchased from JL freight and looked to purchase other cars at that dealership in the future.

We just purchased a pre-owned vehicle from JL Freed.

We just purchased a pre-owned vehicle from JL Freed. Ron Malone was our sales person and he treated with the upmost professionalism, respect and patience. Tim Baum handled the financial/loan and he provided us with the same quality attention. Ron followed up 2 days after we brought the car home to make sure everything was going well and that we were happy. From the minute we walked in, to the minute we left JL Freed, my husband and I defintely felt a good vibe from everyone we came into contact with. This dealership is definitely customer service conscious and driven. We will definitely be back!
