From the first call to ALM Chevy South, I was treated
From the first call to ALM Chevy South, I was treated with respect and valued as more than just a customer. My salesperson, Monterrius, was thoughtful, attentive, and eager to assist me with every question and concern I had. He even went the extra mile by providing videos and pictures, and he was transparent when it came to discussing the price. I truly felt grateful to have been in his hands. Over the next few days, I worked with Carlos Jelks, the finance officer, and he made the entire decision process easy and comfortable. Carlos’s tone, professionalism, and demeanor put me at ease, which made our conversations feel natural and stress-free. I had spoken with other dealerships before, but none gave me the attention and care that Monterrius and Carlos did. That’s exactly why I chose to do business with ALM Chevy South. I’ve always believed that people shop people, not places—and this team proved that true. Thank you, Monterrius, Carlos, and the entire ALM Chevy South team!

**The Worst Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had – Beware
**The Worst Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had – Beware of Deceptive Practices** I had a deeply frustrating experience with **ALM Chevy South** while attempting to purchase a 2024 Honda CR-V EX-L. What should have been a straightforward process has turned into a drawn-out ordeal marked by **deceptive advertising, poor communication, and an unsafe vehicle**. * **3/12/25**: I reached out about a vehicle advertised on TrueCar for $30,910. Steven Barnes informed me the vehicle wasn’t ready for a test drive due to needed repairs. Later, he sent me an out-the-door price that was nearly $3,000 above the advertised price, including bogus charges like a $1,995 "Motor Trend" fee and $995 for paint/fabric. * **3/13/25**: I asked for a revised quote without the add-ons and an explanation of the $1,330 in "fees." Eboni Cunningham responded with a new quote but included other hidden charges not disclosed in the listing. I tried to follow up—her voicemail was full and she never returned my calls or emails. * **3/14–3/17**: After being ghosted multiple times, I emailed several people at the dealership, including the GM, and stated I would report them to the **FTC and Georgia Attorney General** for deceptive advertising. Only then did someone (Sales Manager Freddie Watson) reach out and finally provide a correct quote with an apology. I scheduled a test drive. * **3/18/25**: I test drove the vehicle and decided to purchase. However, the car still needed repairs. I completed the paperwork and was told I’d be contacted later that day. When I returned to pick it up, the repairs were supposedly done, but the car was filthy. I was told to come back anytime for a detail. * **Mid-April**: I discovered **one lug nut was missing from each wheel**—a serious safety issue. Multiple messages left at ALM Chevy South went unanswered. I had to purchase and install the lug nuts myself. * **5/27/25**: I received a notice from my finance company that no title had been submitted. It took multiple calls and an email to finally get the issue resolved. The title arrived **nearly three months after purchase**. * **7/23/25**: While investigating clunking noises, my husband found that the **damage ALM claimed to have repaired was only cosmetic**. The muffler/exhaust was still **damaged and improperly attached**—a clear indication that they sold us an unsafe vehicle and misrepresented its condition. I contacted the dealership again, and Ashara told me to bring it to their service center, but I declined due to the ongoing poor treatment and the failure of the service department to fix it the first time. I requested reimbursement for repairs elsewhere—never heard back. * I also discovered that **half of my sales paperwork is missing**, and I still haven’t received it. My follow-up messages continue to go unanswered, yet I keep getting sales calls from their reps. --- **In summary**, this dealership engaged in: * **False advertising** * **Non-disclosure of fees** * **Selling an unsafe vehicle** * **Inadequate or deceptive repairs** * **Poor post-sale customer service** * **Failure to provide complete documentation** Unless you want months of stress, broken promises, and potentially dangerous vehicle conditions, I strongly **urge you to avoid ALM Chevy South**. I’ve reported them to the Federal Trade Commission and Georgia's Attorney General for Consumer Affairs and I'll be contacting a consumer protection attorney. I hope others don’t fall into the same trap.

Purchased a vehicle here 2.
Purchased a vehicle here 2.5 weeks ago. Arrived after agreeing upon a price and had everything finished as requested. Once I arrived, the process took over 2.5 more hours, mainly watching staff stand around talking instead o fprocessing paperwork. During this time, I was not shown details of the vehicle, the vehicle was not wiped down or detailed, all they did was run it to the gas station to put gas in it. 2 weeks later, I reach out about some paperwork that still isn't processed from the dealership. Called multiple times daily and also emailed service advisor with no response. Can not leave a voicemail as none are set up or are full. No response at all since the purchase. Luckily, the bank I financed through, who said this isn't the first issue with them, is willing to help me with what I need. I would not return to this dealership or recommend it to anyone I have respect for. Not really sure how Chevrolet does not shut them down after reading Facebook reviews.
