I have been involved in purchasing at least 30 cars in my lifetime. Motor Cars of Chicago is hands down the 2nd worst I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately for me. they had a car I wanted that is hard to find and I was forced to deal with them. Otherwise, I never would have. I have never had to work so hard to sell myself a car. The saleslady would promise to call and would not, I had to reach out time and again. I spoke to a male salesperson and he was so arrogant and made me feel like a second class citizen. Then if you get past all that, get ready for the excessive fees they add to the price of the car for nonsense things they overcharge on to take more money out of your pocket (one of the oldest tricks in the scummy dealership handbook). When the car arrived it was filthy (enclosed transport), what happened to the days when they at least used to clean the car up and fill the gas tank. I asked about issues with the car before buying it since I am out of state and was told it was perfect. I got it and the passenger door made an awful popping noise when closing it. It was an easy fix, but clearly the saleslady did not even inspect the car as promised. I found out from the previous owner he left a box of the OEM parts he replaced in the car when he traded it in (important for certain cars to have these OEM parts at least with the car). The dealership discarded them before selling the car. If you can buy a car elsewhere do it, you will be treated with actual respect.

Worst dealership.

Worst dealership. Offered 160 for a car that was listed for 170. Salesman ignored me for a couple days after I sent the offer. I texted him again asking for a response he made fun of me and said prices are non negotiable. A week later they drop the price down to 155. I would have paid 160 but really would avoid these people at all costs.

Avoid this dealership at all costs — one of the worst

Avoid this dealership at all costs — one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. As a serious car enthusiast who has bought and sold dozens of performance vehicles, I came into this dealership well-prepared, respectful, and realistic about trade and purchase values. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of a disaster. After spending hours communicating with the sales team — providing all supporting documentation, VINs, title, list of modifications, and even the stock number of the vehicle I was interested in — I finally got the owner involved to try and work out a deal. We negotiated and agreed to what I thought was a fair agreement and I was ready to move forward. But after all that time and effort, I was blindsided. Turns out they had been quoting me the wrong car the entire time, despite me clearly referencing the correct stock number in every conversation. Their mistake, not mine. And rather than owning it professionally, they became rude, dismissive, and completely unaccountable. This wasn’t just a minor mix-up — this was a total failure in basic professionalism and communication. It felt like bait-and-switch tactics wrapped in incompetence. I fully expect the owner to respond by claiming I had "unrealistic expectations" for my trade or the vehicle price. Let me be clear: I came in knowing the market and was open to negotiation. What I didn’t expect was to be misled, disrespected, and ultimately blamed for their internal errors. If you're considering doing business here — save yourself the frustration. Go somewhere that values your time, communicates clearly, and treats potential buyers with respect.

From start to finish, my experience selling my 1LE Camaro

From start to finish, my experience selling my 1LE Camaro was nothing short of exceptional. Ghaith was an absolute professional and very responsive. If you ever decide to buy or sell a vehicle from this dealership, I highly recommend asking for Ghaith. Service is equal to what you’d receive at the Bellagio hotel in Vegas. 5 stars!

Selling my car through Motor Cars of Chicago was an absolute breeze thanks to Ghaith. From the start, they offered top dollar for my vehicle and kept me informed throughout the entire process. They paid off my loan directly with the bank and handled all the paperwork, all I had to do was sign one document. Ghaith even arranged transport for the car, making the whole experience completely stress-free. Highly recommend working with him if you’re looking for a smooth and professional sale!

Beware of the shady dealership!

Beware of the shady dealership! What a SCAM! I bought an $81k car. Both the dealership and the salesman Kennan(Ken) impossible to reach. To make this story short, the car was in a bad accident. The seller didn’t disclose it. The car leaks when it rains. The bodyshop quoted me it will cost $20k the repair the damages.

Ghaith reached out to me about a 2024 Mustang I was trying to sell. He asked several questions and when we were both comfortable, he negotiated a price that I was pleased with. He was very fair and honest and his communication was excellent. Once we agreed to the terms of the sale, Ghaith ensured I was aware of each step along the way. He, and Motor Cars of Chicago, were very easy to work with. They handled all the legwork. They sent payment very quickly. The transportation he coordinated to pick the Mustang up and deliver to his dealership was on time and courteous. Overall, excellent experience and would absolutely purchase or sell to again. Great job, Ghaith!

I drove three and a half hours from Indiana to check out

I drove three and a half hours from Indiana to check out a Civic Type R, and honestly, it was totally worth the trip. Eric was hands down the best salesperson I’ve ever worked with—super patient, no pressure at all, and he actually encouraged us to take our time and do proper test drives, which I really appreciated. The whole process, including financing, was smooth and straightforward, with no surprises or unnecessary waiting. If you're thinking about buying a car and want someone who’s genuinely helpful and easy to work with, I’d definitely recommend this dealership—and especially Eric.
