I had an amazing experience at Mahwah Honda, working with
I had an amazing experience at Mahwah Honda, working with Rion. From the very start, he was professional, personable, and genuinely caring—treating me like family throughout the entire process. Rion took the time to answer every question, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with my decision. He truly went above and beyond to make the car-buying experience smooth and enjoyable. When it came time to finalize everything, I worked with Abdel, the finance manager, who was also honest, professional, and transparent. He made the final steps simple and stress-free, which was the perfect way to end such a great experience. If you’re looking for a dealership where you’ll be treated with respect, kindness, and honesty from start to finish, I highly recommend working with Rion and Abdel. They both made the entire process outstanding!

I’ve leased vehicles for many years.
I’ve leased vehicles for many years. I have to say my experience with Ali Bayat @ Mahwah Honda was the best experience dealing with any automobile sales person, there was no haggling and back and forth. He said he would get me in my price range & delivered ! and we all know that is a special gift in today’s car leasing business today. That being said the SUV I leased is a quality vehicle. & if you’re in the market for a Honda, & want to have a quality experience with a sales person Ali Bayat @ Mahwah Honda is your person …. Thank you Ali

I wanted to extend my sincere thanks for the exceptional
I wanted to extend my sincere thanks for the exceptional VIP treatment I received during my recent visit to your dealership. From the moment I arrived, every detail was handled with care and professionalism, and I truly felt like a valued guest but even more so like family. Your team's hospitality and attentiveness made the entire experience not only seamless but genuinely enjoyable. It's clear that your leadership sets a high standard for customer service, and I'm grateful to have experienced that firsthand. Paul and Sam are simply spectacular people. Thank you once again, I truly appreciate it.

Attention for all local NY Residents: do not buy or lease
Attention for all local NY Residents: do not buy or lease from Mahwah Honda. They never unlinked the temporary NJ plates from my wife’s car and she keeps getting billed from various EZ Pass type institutions. Mahwah Honda refuses to assist despite a few messages to speak to a manager. Would never recommend to anybody. Incredibly unprofessional.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’d like to clarify an important point regarding temporary tags: there is no process for a dealership to “unlink” or deactivate a temporary plate. When a customer’s permanent plates arrive, our team installs them on the vehicle and immediately shreds the temporary tag so it cannot be reused. If you are seeing EZ Pass charges tied to your temporary tag, the best course of action is to review the charges and contact EZ Pass directly, as they are the only party able to investigate and resolve toll billing matters. We take these concerns seriously and always want our customers to feel supported, but in this case, resolution must be handled through EZ Pass. We don't have any employees by the name of Cyrus so please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss this matter further. Sincerely, Simon Sedrak General Sales Manager 201-574-1078
My mistake on the name: it was you who I was referring to then. We spoke to EZPass. It was not them. It was the DMV who said it was never done on the dealers end. They confirmed it and we had to provide proof to the NY DMV that the plates were changed before we could get any kind of resolution. Even better, we have had to deal with other versions of EZPass from out of state and they are all giving us a hard time. Don’t try and divert blame for something that was clearly done incorrectly on your end. This has never been an issue from any other dealer.
Best Honda dealership around.

The worst dealership experience we have had in our lives.
The worst dealership experience we have had in our lives. My husband and I are both in our 50's and have bought plenty of cars. If we could give zero stars we would. Our 21 year old son leased a vehicle on his own, with his 77 year old grandma along for the ride. It took about FIVE HOURS. Yes, five. Not only did our son get suckered into a lease for $450 a month and about $5K down--even though he will clearly exceed the annual allotted mileage--he was then left to fend for himself once he did not receive his registration and plates. Despite his numerous attempts to call his salesperson and TWO finance guys, he received zero call backs. Step in Mama Bear. I began emailing and calling. Waited a few days. No response. At this point his plates expired and he got a ticket. So I call. In one day I spent about two hours on the phone, was hung up on about six times, had zero pleasant or professional customer service. My last call the receptionist ASSURED me someone would call me back that day. Nope. So I call the next day. Same thing happens as day before. Hung up on. Transferred. Etc. At this point I am furious. I call Honda headquarters. Finally a lovely, calm person!! Meanwhile, husband is simultaneously calling Honda dealership. Miraculously once they hear I have headquarters on the phone, they finally transfer husband to a manager (or maybe because my husband is a man?? Sexist much?). Manager calmly tells us they have the plates. They have the registration. But they cannot be mailed as they have told my son. Really? All these phone calls, emails, and texts and that's it!? Nobody called my son to tell him to pick up the plates. Nobody. They said they did. LIES. At this point we cannot trust anything from anyone. We take the time out of our day and son takes time off of work to drive to dealership (AN HOUR AWAY FROM US) to get the plates. When we get there we meet manager (mind you not one of the customer service people would give us his full name nor email nor direct line). As he apologizes and gives us the plates (and oh, ALL THE PAPERWORK they NEVER handed to my son when he left with the car!!!), I look around. I see two salespeople sitting around. Doing nothing. One is even carefully arranging a vase of flowers on her desk. Maybe management should do some training with their salespeople and customer service people while they have spare time? Infuriating. And too bad since I am in the market for a new car and will buy a Honda. Their loss. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. There is a level of dysfunction I have NEVER seen.
