Some of the guys here are pretty good but some not so much. In general I get a negative vibe from this place. When discussing the possibility of a fixed recall issue recurring there was no listening to the details...just hopped in the car, moved the steering wheel back and forth and said "NOPE THAT"S NOT IT" when I had a compelling case to the contrary and then just ran off to his desk. Here's the compelling case: Kia recalled some vehicles for a bad flexible steering joint. Not long before the recall got announced my steering was starting to feel "sticky" after being on the road a while. After the recall repair got done, this stickiness went completely away. Now it's starting again. They say nope can't be that with no more questions or concerns whatsoever for the problem. This group also tried to charge me a "diagnostic fee" a while ago for a covered defect. What's the sense in paying for extra coverage like I did just to have to pay again when it comes time to work on it. Whether this is a dealer issue or Kia issue neither is good. With this issue they also just hung me out to dry instead of trying to figure something out on it. Oh and by the way...the stickiness started while under warranty...now it's back and out of warranty...how convenient!

Excellent service and work done on my car...
My car hasn't ran smoother before bringing it in to gerrywood Kia. I should have brought my car in for service sooner than I did. Thanks for the great work.

Poor customer service in sales department
Worst customer service in all the years I have been purchasing new vehicles. I live in GA and spent 8 years in the U.S. Air Force. I wanted to buy my daughter-in-law (who lives in NC) a new, dependable car. We found the car we wanted at Gerry Wood KIA and agreed to a price with the sales rep and sales manager , signed an agreement, and wrote a check (I was paying cash). This agreed to price included a military service reduction of $400. While we were waiting for the finance manager, the sales manager came over to tell me I couldn't use the military discount because I didn't have a NC ID and, therefore, couldn't be added to the registration. I thought I was a member of the U.S. Air Force and not the NC AF; but, I said, OK, we both agreed to the price, I expect you to honor it so take $400 off your price somewhere else--remember, I was paying cash. He refused. After several minutes of "discussion" he agreed to $200. Very poor customer service and extremely poor attitude toward a paying customer. The only positive notes of the day were that 1) my daughter-in-law now has a new and safe car 2) when Mark in finance heard what happened, he took and additional $400 off the price of the extended service plan to make it right. Thank you to Mark but the sales manager needs some customer service training. If I ever purchase another vehicle in NC, I will NOT be using this dealership. Please note, Josh was my sales rep but he was not the one who refused to honor the agreed price. That was his sales manager, whose name I do not recall nor do I care to remember.

Great Service Center
Five star service for sure. From being really courteous and knowledge I think they have best service center I have been in. Had an oil change one week ago in left than an hour and got car washed too! Went back today for a recall appt that was one hour. I was done and out in 40. Included another car wash! I am really excited to have this Gerrywood Kia nearby!!

Excellent Service
My husband and I would really like to think Mr. Reginald Johnson on all his hard work. We came in looking at a used Sportage with the same payment, but he did a great job in convincing us for a $100 more per month, the next Sportage was the way to go, and he explained why, and it really made sense. He's a very smart man, and great at what he does. Thank you Mr. Johnson.
