This was my first time buying a used vehicle from a car

This was my first time buying a used vehicle from a car lot. I didn't know what to expect when I got there, but I needed a vehicle badly. A young man named Kyle greeted me at the doorway. Kyle and his mentor helped me get into a real pretty honda cr-v. Newest vehicle I have ever owned. I'm not used to driving it yet, but I feel safe. Kyle was right to talk me into this vehicle. It was a pleasure to talk to him. He has such hopes and dreams that I hope he goes far in life.

Short Story: Zero stars if I could.

Short Story: Zero stars if I could. These guys are scam artists. They push people to leave reviews directly after buying while selling people lemons. Unless your credit is horrid go to Oxmoor. Long Story: I bought a used car July 20th 2024 at House of Cars Louisville. During the purchase process two witnesses were present and can verify that everything I say is true. The dealer and his sales rep told us that the truck I was looking at was just inspected, has all fluids flushed and change, new tires, and a new exhaust system. In desperate need of a car -- since my current cars engine failed and I was stranded in Kentucky-- I purchased the car the same day. A few weeks later I noticed the car was missing a seat belt in the backseat when picking up a friend. I contacted the dealer and he offered to buy the part to have it installed. Upon further inspection I found multiple miscellaneous parts missing. I reached out to the dealer again inquiring about the missing parts and was told the full inspection they claimed happened previously only covered the "front seat because no one looks in the back anyway". Likewise, they refused to purchase the additional parts even though any reasonable inspection would have noticed they were missing. On July 30th 2024, while waiting to pick up my son from work a temperature light comes across the dash. I turned the car off to let the engine cool and checked the coolant level. It's dangerously below where it should be. Odd...because if the fluids were flushed and changed the coolant should have still been fine 10 days after the purchase. No worries, I caught a lyft to autozone, purchased two containers of coolant (as required by my owners manual) and filled it up. A few days later I notice puddles in my driveway. Upon lifting the hood I see the coolant container is a lot lower than where I filled it the days before. I schedule an appointment with a local shop and they tell me the truck has a MODERATE coolant leak. I contact the dealer and he tells me to purchase an extended warranty and let them pay for it (this is fraud btw). Luckily I had purchased one before hand, but it seemed odd that the so called inspection that they sold me the car on didn't catch an active moderate coolant leak that’s allowing oil to mix into the coolant reservoir. Warranty company rightfully denied the claim as it happened before 30 days elapsed. However, I did get a note from the mechanic stating the tires on the car are over 2 years old, and the fluids show evidence of heavy grime and couldn’t have been flushed at all. Meaning the dealership blatantly lied about the condition of the vehicle to obtain a sale. Sidenote: I should add that I was never allowed to see the contract I was signing. The dealer had me select my electronic signature then signed the contract after turning to monitor back towards himself. Currently speaking with my attorney and pending litigation for consumer fraud and deceptive practices as the dealership has refused to respond to any subsequent messages.

Just saw your reviews and I investigated the matter. 1. Everything we sell is as/is and you knew that when you signed the form 2. We never say we flushed fluid we only check 3. After one week you asked for the seat belt latch for the back seat and we got it for you. 4. After a month and half you come and tell me the Warranty you decided to buy from outside and they don’t start covering any issues till after one month not covering this on you. We offered you warranty like we offer all our customers with a fair company we work with that would’ve been active on the first day you bought the vehicle and you Denied and that’s on you Too. 5. It shows from your other reviews you left for other businesses and people saw that You just enjoy trying to bring businesses down built on false accusations 6. OWN the decision you make on the mistakes you make.

Great experience, one very happy customer
