Write a reviewGerry Raymond knowingly sold me a truck with a check
Gerry Raymond knowingly sold me a truck with a check engine light on, before during and after the sale As an out-of-state buyer I was relying on my salesperson Eddie to guide me through this process. He sent me specific pictures based on my requests and I pointed out the truck had a check engine light. Eddie assured me that I was wrong that he had key on engine off conditions. After pushing and probing more and telling him I'm sure the check engine light was on he checked with his shop and they said they fixed a wiring harness going to a grille shutter which is creating communication issue with the computer and setting a check engine light. After Eddie told me this problem had been resolved and pacified me with his answer I moved ahead with the purchase of this$47,000 truck plus the extra $2,000 to get it shipped to me. Truck shows up with a check engine lights (7 codes pending and permanant) on and all the problems that a person would not want. I have filed a case with Ohio's attorney general's office and other organizations as help from them is slow going and I still cannot get the truck on the road legally even as I get ready to make my first payment. It is illegal in Ohio to knowingly sell a vehicle with known problems. I have all this in writing and texts that I have exchanged with the dealership before during and after the sale. If anybody has any questions let me know I have this documented best I can be a text and emails from the dealership. And pictures as well as other correspondence with them. I guess if I can help anybody else I would just say get everything in writing and don't believe anything you're told especially if you have concerns Seems like this place needs a good cleaning and maybe some management Update. This truck cannot be put on the road in my state or the check engine light on. I took it to the dealer 5 days ago they finally looked at it and said it needs $2,700 worth of work. The work Gerry Raymond's dealership knowingly avoided doing. I'm trying to work with their current management to get this resolved but I guarantee you nobody's in as much of a hurry as I am.... I just talked to the general manager and he feels that my salesman Eddie went above and beyond to explain to me there was no check engine light on. I don't know what planet these guys live on. Anyway, good luck... Started at the bottom of the food chain and work my way up to the general manager he is offering good faith and said he'd pay for the repairs, also didn't really offer a rental car but I asked and he said to keep the receipts. I don't know why most businesses these days presume that we're just going to take what they give us, yes I think these guys are offering good faith now it just sucks that I had to beg for it. Also pisses me off that the general manager, sales manager, salesman and service manager all think there's nothing wrong with selling cars with check engine lights on. I asked the sales manager, if they knew about the problem why didn't they fix it and his response was"if I knew the answer to that I wouldn't sell cars for a living" xxx does that mean! Update 3/23/25: First payment has already been made weeks ago and I have officially owned this truck for over a month and it still will not pass smog. Now have p0747 and p700 codes for transmission solenoid, leaving a continual check engine light and pushing a passing smog even further down the road. Update: 4/8/24. Truck still not ready for smog. Wont pass smog Still has trans code. On top of all this now they haven't even paid the almost $5,000 fees that I have paid to them for my state taxes and registration. It has been two and a half months. I am now driving a car without plates or registration. And I still can't get smoged. I have reached out to there CFO Charles Six and he has made no attempt to respond These guys are losers. Please avoid at all costs.

With this truck it's one thing after another.
With this truck it's one thing after another. It still will not pass smog 1.5 months after purchasing, I still cannot get it on the road. The dealership sent me a known problem (Told me the problem did not exist, then, problem had been addressed and repaired or that I agreed to buying a 47000 truck that was broken) and we have repaired part of it so far, I guess because more keeps happening. I was looking at the maintenance records or repair records from their dealership who have maintained this truck and it was turned into them this year in January just before I bought it for check engine light on how many other problems are there that they haven't disclosed. They obviously were hiding what was repaired so far and I keep having more problems. I don't trust this company. If they can't admit to the obvious problems what else have they lied about. All of this is documentable and these guys don't seem to understand. I do not accept their answer. I do not want to have problems for the rest of the foreseeable future with this truck I just want them to buy it back
