My background is in the automotive industry sales with Hyundai (6+years), Nissan, Mitsubishi, Kia, GMC, Genesis, and Oldsmobile. I have been a lot attendant, sales, sales manager, Internet Director. To the review about Fontana Hyundai - I have been communicating and negotiating with the internet department for almost a month for a specific vehicle. It finally lead to my final offer in which the General manager/manager told me that I would need to go to the dealership to finalize the deal. Mind you, I am an hour away. They had dealer add ons that during my phone negotiations said I would not pay for them, dealership do that to earn extra profit but when I ran dealerships, if I did that I expected to have to “eat” the cost of the add ons to sell the car. So I drove 1 hour to complete & purchase the vehicle to only get them to try to make me pay $1100 more than what I agreed and what we discussed. They knew my background & I warned them not to “f” with me and make me drive all the way to just try to sell it for more. Well, that is what they did, THEY LIED - THEY ARE THE EPITOME OF SLEAZY DEALERS! WARNING - Do not trust that dealership!!!!

Like others who wrote a review here, I also had a terrible experience at Fontana Hyundai. I came in ready to pay the advertised price, wasn't even looking to negotiate down (BAIT). Then after I took the test drive and was chatting it up with the sales rep, Roddy the asst. sales manager comes to the table saying the price is $4000 more than what was advertised (SWITCH). What the xxxx? He said I NEEDED to buy the add-ons to buy the vehicle. Pretty sure that's a violation of FTC rules (tying products). I told him I'm ready to buy, just give me the out the door priced based off the advertised price, but nope. Add-ons need to be purchased. There are other dealerships who don't follow these practices. So look elsewhere. If you're looking to buy from Fontana, just expect to pay $4000-$5000 more than what you're intending.

Add-ons not disclosed in advertising Car price went up
Add-ons not disclosed in advertising Car price went up about 5k with three add-ons. Was able to decline two but they wouldn't budge on the anti-theft system. They equip cars with it so they don't get stolen off their lot. Then they stick the buyer with the cost. Rather crooked way to deal with the cost of something that was done for their benefit. They rather lose a customer :( The salesperson was adorable, however sat with us the entire time. Seems like a good tactic to get customers to not talk among themselves and reason things out. Drove 50 miles each way only to be dissapointed in the end. I would rather be writing a happy review, bu hope this helps someone before trying their too good to be true used car deals.

Bait and switch ask about add-ons
Bait and switch ask about add-ons - very manipulative dishonest pushy, slimy all the things. Drove for hours because Mallory seemed sweet and she was five months pregnant and then they told me it was $5000 more when I got there. I walked out these people are creeps.
