We purchased a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited through NuCar of Tilton just before Christmas and were not impressed with the service. The salesman Harold seemed more interested in keeping us within the car payment we currently had on our present vehicle than showing us vehicles types we told him we wanted. After looking at the 2022 Jeep that had been at the dealership over 6 weeks we offered 1500 less than the advertised price. Harold stated his manager did not want to negotiate on price at all so we left. One week later the price dropped to within the range we wanted so we returned ready to buy with our financing already secured. Harold was quite pushy about using their internal financing instead of our own. He was insistent he could get the same rates through our bank and stressed that we could not take our vehicle home that day unless we had a check in hand or used NuCar's third party financing. We explained that we were in no rush and preferred that we use our bank's financing directly as we were able to secure GAP insurance at a lower cost than NuCar could offer. He then brought over his manager Mike who told us he would not "argue semantics" with us when we did not even ask to speak with him. After speaking with our bank, they told us see this often from dealerships as they receive kick backs from the third party financers. We felt this was deceptive and sneaky sales practices to behold. Further, the car was delivered to us dirty inside after being told it would be fully detailed. The car was not even sufficiently vacuumed inside. The best part of our total experience were the sweet older gentlemen who delivered the car to us on Christmas eve. We will not buy there again.
