manager threatened to take ownership of my car

Emmanuel Ortega "service manager" threatened to take possession of my car. I left the country because of Covid, leaving my car with family members. During this period the battery of the key ran out, so they took it to the Santa Maria dealership to program a new one. As the document was not in his name, the dealership did not let my uncle take the car back home. They said I would have to pass the car over to his name and then ask for the key again. My uncle asked if they would charge for the time parked there and they ENSURED THAT NOTHING WOULD BE CHARGED. Due to the lockdown, the change of ownership of the car took 3 months. When they went to get the car, a piece of the door WAS GONE. When they asked Emmanuel what had happened to the part, he said THAT THEY ALWAYS REMOVE THIS PART TO REPROGRAM THE KEY, which would be inside the car. After 15 minutes of looking for the part and not finding it, Emmanuel said that the car had arrived without it. After stating that this had not happened, Emmanuel threatened that if we kept asking for this missing part, he would charge for the days that car was parked there and would also ask for ownership of the car. THIS IS THE TYPE OF TREATMENT THAT YOU OFFER TO YOUR CUSTOMERS ??? DISGUSTING.

No masks no thanks

We walked in to look at buying a new Passat and half the staff is not masked, doesn’t put them on when you walk in, give you space, or even have plexiglass. Great place to get COVID, not a great place to shop safely. We headed into LA County instead where they were much more observant of safety protocol.

Community boats wagon review

Dealership was very clean and friendly. Drove over 150 miles to get the car I wanted. Everything was set up and ready for me to pick up the 2019 beetle

Huge waste of time

COLASSAL WASTE OF TIME. Called this morning to schedule a test drive. Scheduled for about four hours later and they stated they had the car there. On my way down there (I told them I lived an hour away) they called to tell me that they didn't have the car on the lot. It was loaned out earlier that day. I had already made the drive down with the kids and the gf and wasted a day off and the gas to get there. Thank God I didn't come from out of the area. They told me they would get it there. If you're thinking about driving from out of town don't bother. Just a big sorry we didn't know it wasn't here. Even after I called to ask them if it was. Don't even waste your time. Buy elsewhere.

Great Experience

We honestly had a really great experience here. We were a little hesitant at first after reading the reviews on here, but after checking all the positive reviews on yelp we decided to try it and we are so glad we did. They were so friendly and knowledgeable and really seemed to have our best interest in mind. We were able to talk to them candidly and work to an agreement that was good for both sides. We definitely felt confident in our experience and are very happy with our new car!

horrible customer service and dishonest people

So i get a car from this dealership on 03/12/2019 from los angeles even when I specifically asked them since im driving almost 168miles to get there please make sure everything is ok and ready to be picked up They said everything is fine guess what i go there the car has no second key .now i have to pick up and come Today is 04/21/2019 and i still have to keyes and also no license plates or registration because the finance manager missed some papers and signatures this is really stupid and not to mention i bought a 2019 750i which is not a cheap car And being treated like this The GM/Owner s name is nick and he is a super lier when i was heated and upset he answered my phone calls but now he is not answering my phone calls anymore.im a guy who changed 13cars in 9 years and i never had such disgusting service from any dealer

absolute disaster

Agreed to a price on leasing a new M4. Overnighted them a check for over $8000, they called after they received it and said they decided to sell the car to someone else (for a higher price). Had to scramble to my bank to cancel the cashiers check. Extremely rude and dishonest people.

Worst Service - dishonest from the owner right on

Sold us a $120,000 car with many defects - car unsafe to drive - dealer unresponsive - finally spoke to owner who's explanation turned out to be lies upon verification - this dealership is what gives the car business a bad name

Great salesman!

We just bought a new e- golf through Suraj De Silva who works in sales for bmw & vw here. It was a flawless and easy sales process and he totally went out of his way to find the car we wanted. I can’t recommend him enough. This dealership has always done right by us, even through the tdi scandal with the first new car we bought from them. I can’t recomm Suraj enough. Salesman who are also kind and easy to work with can be very hard to find. Great experience!

The advertised price was incorrect, but they honored that price and I bought the car. Matthew was a pleasure to work with and the finance department was very helpful.
