Tri Star has great service

Dependable service with a courteous staff. Timely appointments and the service managers and mechanics understand the customer's needs. Recommend to all.

Great service

It didn't take long to perform the service and everyone was courteous. Thanks for realizing that no one wants to sit around for a long time waiting, as they are busy also.

Shafted at Tri Star Motors Somerset

In mid May we broke down near Somerset PA in our F450, so after reading great reviews of Tri Star Motors, we were towed there. We left our vehicle and went on with our trip and by the time we returned the repairs were complete. A month later I discovered that the belt that they replaced was the wrong size and had come apart taking out the power steering pump. I also discovered they didn't install a Ford alternator, they opted to install an aftermarket alternator. So I took it to a local dealer for warranty service. The additional repairs coupled with a Ford alternator, the correct belt and more cost me an additional $1100. I returned the aftermarket alternator to TriStar and was told they would rectify the fees I incurred to have the other Ford dealer repair their poor work. It's September now. I have received no reimbursement, no returned calls from the TriStar service manager or district manager despite numerous attempts to get this taken care of. Maybe if you're local and they have a chance to sell you a car, you may get service. As someone who spends a lot of time traveling, I would never suggest taking a vehicle there if you live out of town. It's a shame because their reviews were very good. Unfortunately in my case they will take more time to scrub negative reviews than to compensate me for shoddy repairs from their shop.

Never again

When your buying a vehicle they are very nice and pleasant. They offered a deal then didn't honor it. When you call after your purchase they won't return your phone calls with answers. They forget all about you. I guess they don't like repeat business

Excellent sales service

We just purchased a new truck from Josh at Tri-star in Somerset and it was the easy and best experience we had. He really worked with us on getting what we wanted and the process was quick and so easy. He was also very friendly to our 2 kids that were sitting there waiting while we made the deal. I will definitely go back to him for business in the future! Thanks so much Josh!

The Disappointed

The place is disgusting, walked into shop and floors coverd in dirt and garbage thrown all over the floor. Service advisor I believe his name was Chris treated me like garbage, answering his phone while talking to me, herd him swearing about customers. Service manager was rude and didn't seem to know anything. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone. Found out how shady they are with there repairs. And the employees are rude.

! EVERYTHING HORRIBLE !

Everything was horrible, the sales rep had no idea about any of the vehicles I asked about nor did he know how any of the things worked in the vehicles and didn't really care to find out for me either and always had a nasty attitude and no care for customers. The children's play area was filthy my daughter played there while we got our oil changed and had black all over her hands and clothes and they said they changed the oil but was still black afterwards. Prices were horrible and they don't care to work with you. They do not care to help you out with anything all they care about is to sell you a car and push you out the door then act like they don't know you when you bring it back because it is having problems(mine has been junk so far). I would not recommend tristar to my worst enemy never again will I deal with them. So unless you want to be taking advantage of cheated and lied to and over pay for a vehicle then DO NOT go here.
