Today, March 15, 2024, I went to Future Hyundai to test drive a used 2023 Ionic 6 Limited. After introducing ourselves, the salesperson wasn't particularly helpful at answering our questions prior to the test drive. I had a specific set of features I wanted to test on my car, and I mentioned I wanted to go on the highway. He told me flatly "We don't go on the highway for test drives, local roads only." I was perplexed, since I've never been on a test drive with such rigid, arbitrary rules, but played along with his pre-planned route, giving my fiance a change to drive as well. When we arrived back at the dealership, I went back into the drivers seat and set out on my own driving path. When he realized I wasn't complying with his route, he LITERALLY YELLED AT ME, insisting that I go back to his route. My heart was pumping and my blood was boiling, but I calmly replied that it was my test drive, and I wanted to test the car my way. He even reached forward from the back seat into the cupholder to grab the key fob; I think he was trying to disable the car (obviously it doesn't work like that). He was scowling from the back seat until we arrived back at the dealership. Obviously, I didn't buy the car, nor would I ever visit this dealer again. I wish I could remember the sales person's name, but that information escapes me, and the "Meet the team" page on the website is lacking pictures of most sales reps. Otherwise, I would tell you to STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY!

Lack of professionalism and not refunding money
Future Hyundai of Concord Dec 2, 2022 Caldajara Purchased a new vehicle with extra options (like window tint and third party warranty) and decided that I didn’t want the cars extra options within less than 24 hours later. Finance guy indicated the refund will happen almost right away, but it’s been almost 9 weeks and they haven’t returned the money. It felt like a pushy finance manager adding endless options to take your money and not refunding it once you decide the option was not needed. I followed up a several times and the responses have been harsh and borderline unprofessional with emails in ALL CAPS TEXT. Additionally, the timeline for the refund of our money has moved several times. I really expected better from the dealership experience and am very disappointed. I am also dissatisfied with the lack of response from the general manager and sales rep that has been included in communications but has failed to acknowledge the deficiencies in their process.
