I purchased a used car in July 2021. I was offered an extended warranty by John Hammond for the car. He indicated I could cancel it at anytime and the cost would be prorated back. I had a family issue I needed to immediately attend to, and decided to moved forward with the warranty. The next day I decided I wanted to cancel the warranty, this is where the lies begin. John indicated all the paperwork had to be processed before he could refund the warranty. Lie - I later find out Fred Beans will allow you to return a car up to 5 days after purchase, nether less cancel the warranty. In December I called to have the warranty cancelled. Lie 2 - Was told it would be handled and that did not have to come in to do it. 2 weeks later Lie #3 - was told it was done, I asked for the paper work to be emailed, was never sent. Lie #4- I called another 2 weeks later told him I was on my way there to pick up the paperwork. He then indicates the system was being updated and they were processing my paperwork and back dating the cancelation. Obviously there is an issue with telling the truth with some of the Staff members there. The dealership policies I learned during this ordeal are not being followed by key members of this business. I initially had this rated as 1 star, increase to 2 due to policies implemented but not followed.

Caveat Emptor READ EVERYTHING
Caveat Emptor I took my wife into Fred Beans Hyundai Saturday 12/28 because they were having and end of year blow out and our lease was coming to an end in a couple months. I worked in dealerships for a couple decades so I was comfortable and completely understood how it took nearly all day to accomplish the trade. My wife found a lease turn in and fell in love. I’m a Ford guy, she likes the Hyundais, go figure. It had been such a long day I told them not to even wash it because we just wanted to go and eat. It is now about 5 months later and not only did they never schedule or even call us to schedule the remote start we paid for, but they also decided not to completely pay off our lease. That’s right, they payed the last few payments, but left a balance. When questioned, they cite a slip of paper that I signed agreeing to it, so I have no recourse. I am not that old, but I don’t remember signing anything like that. I am sure I did. What I remember is the finance woman telling me that I wouldn’t even have to make the first payment for 6 weeks. So, in summation Caveat Emptor, LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!! Doug Walter
