Learned a very expensive lesson, I'll NEVER buy another "as-is" vehicle from an unfamiliar dealership. I purchased a Ford Escape a little over a month ago, and it's been living at the shop more than my driveway! I didn't realize the vehicle was "as-is" until I seen it on the sticker. I didn't see it on the website anywhere. I was desperate that day and needed a vehicle asap, so I figured I'd trust the dealership and go ahead and bought it. I noticed the transmission acting a bit "abnormal" the moment i drove it off the lot! I didn't think much about it, thinking I just didn't have the "feel" of the vehicle. The more I drove it the next day, i realized the shifting was not normal, so I took it back to the dealership. They ran tests on the tranny and said they didn't find any issues, I kept on them about it, and finally the head mechanic said he would personally take it out for a drive. Sure enough, he noticed right away. He thinks it's the torque converter. My local mechanic thinks it's the tranny. So, i have an appointment next week at a transmission specialist shop, God only knows how much that's going to set me back! Surly these people test drives the vehicles before they sell them right? There's no way they could've missed the tranny slipping/hesitating like it was. They knew there was an issue and said absolutely nothing about it. If i would've known, I obviously wouldn't have bought the car! So, i paid $9,000 on an UNSAFE Ford Escape with 145,000! That is a terrible and very nasty thing to do to your customers. Especially since I've had multiple emergency surgeries, and I'm literally drowning in medical bills! This was the last thing i needed right now. Now i have to figure out how to get an extra $5000! Thanks a lot Cochran....

Terrible experience.
Terrible experience. They knowingly sold a faulty vehicle to my 18 year old which put her in tremendous danger. When we asked for resolution just a few months after buying it, they were snarky and ignored us.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us- we understand your concern and are sorry to hear of the issues your daughter is experiencing with her vehicle. We provide a 1 month 1,000 mile warranty with the purchase of our Lot1 vehicles, and we offered an extended warranty at the time of purchase which the client declined. Our upper management team has reached out to you directly to offer a significant discount on the repair needed, which also comes with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on the parts and installation. If you would like to further discuss this option, please don't hesitate to reach out.

It’s unbelievable that I was able to make a fast and
It’s unbelievable that I was able to make a fast and great deal with these incredibly nice people. They went above and beyond their expectations. I recommend this place to all. The vehicles are really nice, a lot with low mileage and a wonderful price. Btw they gave me an outstanding and fair amount on my vehicle. Too good to be true? I thought so until it happened! There are some honest and caring people left in the world, and this place has quite a few. From the sales manager to the salesman to the appraiser to the financial officer and even the detailed, I was really impressed. They don’t advertise too much; it’s a hidden gem of a place. Leave it to the Cochran family to be real and treat customers like family too. They’re probably the last of the family owned businesses around that will treat you right. God bless all of them and all of you. Happy holidays to all! I know mine will be.

Ty so much you showed humanity and respect to bob and I and I am extremely grateful. This may indeed b his last holiday season and ty for being the best group of guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
I’m an I’ll man and I appreciated the steadfastness,
I’m an I’ll man and I appreciated the steadfastness, professionalism, and organization of this dealership. I’ve always liked Cochran family dealerships but this was insane today. From top to bottom the entire experience was more than acceptable. It was downright gift giving in this difficult time. The salesman was truly honest and all business but in an honest way. If I live long enough to purchase another vehicle, it will surely be from this dealership.I give them all an A+++++!

Crooks at the helm, steer clear
There better be an amazingly beautiful reason why you just sold a vehicle with a non functioning lift gate and clearly dysfunctional suspension on the front end.... I thought this day and age if you were in business you'd be a reputable sort, but it's clear you're the lying and conniving types. She was told to not be truthful on her questionnaire and to present the office with her needs? Oh so you clearly have oversight? So someone somewhere would be disappointed by the deception you put in place eh? You thought you could be sneaky and trick the public into buying vehicles that clearly aren't functional. Well, she may not be a technician but others in her life are and you just screwed up thinking you could pull that fast move on someone in a pinch. Jags. You clearly knew the life gate didn't function when you went to detail it for sale. If you even did that. The key doesn't open it because it is entirely disconnected from its assembly. The front suspension grinds when the weight of the braking vehicle is atop it, so either gross incompetence was at play to replace these components or? Why is so much of the front end replaced? What facade did you legit try to sell her on? This is seriously a place of repute? Whoever runs this shop, you better be ready. I'm bringing this directly to the attention of the owners of your business, and then, and only then will this review be altered. Until justice is served, I am reporting this to BBB. Taking advantage of people is criminal and you will come correct on this. Once I know the names of those tied to this sale I'll also be able to tell you, the good and honest public, exactly what xxxx to steer clear of. Or maybe just shop elsewhere if this is how Cochran let's their shops be run. I'd never recommend this place and I've never even been here. You took advantage of someone. You're in the wrong. Fix it.

The fact that Pere owned cars have a warrenty,...
The fact that Pere owned cars have a warrenty, destination charge and a really high charge for a detail built into the pricing on the car. There would not be an almost 700.00 destination fee on any used car. The I did not want the exstended warrenty. And made an offer subtracting the 3 out of line additional charges. I was told that #1 Cochran offers a no negotiation pricing policy to make things easier on the consumer. I say BS. I should not be forced to purchase a warranty. And the destination fees are insane. I was forced to continue to look elsware for more customer friendly dealership. I am in no hurray to purchase. So I didn't need to pay adddition money.

5 to 1 -- They started off strong at least.
I would have given this location a 4.5 for friendliness and the quality of my purchase BUT.......the day we returned for the purchase, the car was not detailed as promised, nor was our paperwork ready as promised. We had to wait quite a while. The paperwork lady was sweet, but new and there were errors needing fixed using a printer that looked like it was from the 70's. Lastly, I have in writing that a cracked grate on the front of the car would be replaces asap---they would call. It seems we have been forgotten about. No phone call and still a broken grate. Customers shouldn't be swept aside when then drive off the lot.
