Very disappointed that I was not made aware of any
Very disappointed that I was not made aware of any mechanical problems with the vehicle I purchased. The salesperson was great though. Maybe he wasn’t aware either. It has been only four months since the purchase and I already had to replace the front brake rotors and pads. In addition the front rack and pinion assembly and the left front axle shaft needs to be replaced too which is going to cost me around $3600 after paying $900 for the rotors and pads. I also paid the $1995 that you charge for reconditioning of the vehicle prior to selling by which I assumed and trusted that all these problems have been taken care of. I feel like I have been taken advantage of although I accept the fact that the vehicle is sold as is. But, I did not expect any major repairs of this nature.

Fortunately I did not need to replace the rack and pinion assembly and the left axle shaft recommended by the service center I took my car to initially but, a more reliable and honest repair service replaced both front and rear struts and replaced the oil cooler line from where the fluid Leak was detected. The total cost of this was $1,777 in addition to the cost of $900 for the front rotors and brake pads mentioned before. This is a total of $2,677 that I had to spend after paying $1,995 for reconditioning of the vehicle at time of purchase. As mentioned before I purchased the car ‘As Is’ so I am not sure what you can do to assist in resolving these matters at this juncture. Let me know if there’s anything you could possibly do. In my opinion it would have been honest and ethical to waive this charge or reduce the price of the car at time of sale.

The first word that comes to mind when I think of Steve is patience. He listened, asked insightful questions, and seemed to be more compassionate than any other car salesman I've dealt with. I was never made to feel rushed or ignorant. The finance person that I met with; Gilbert, was also a pleasure to deal with. I spent more money than I had intended, but that was my own choice, and I have no regrets. I will readily recommend Steve Rachi and Centennial Hyundai to anyone looking to purchase a car.
