Dear New Buyers of cars, used or otherwise, I have been around the block a few times and never thought to encounter the horror of my experience at this dealership. As a disclaimer, I cannot say that this dealership was the worst, but close. The fact that they let one person behave in ways so old and obnoxious, I can't help but hold them responsible. I was in contact with a receptionist 2 hours before I arrived (a little more because there was nowhere to park, even though there was a lovely sign on the door saying "Plenty of Parking Space". On arrival a USED CAR SALESMAN (UCSman) was appointed to help me. First, I was told that the one car I came to look at was sold the day before, even though I just called ahead, and explained they were far away and I did not want to waist time - emphatically - 2 hours before arriving. The UCSman insinuated it was my fault. However, there was a Honda I saw on the website that looked ok. Now, I am female, small and apparently looked like the biggest sucker fish this man had ever seen. Jokes on him. My father began taking me to dealerships when I was 10 just to see the Selling Show. Also, He taught me enough mechanics to find my way around an engine. Lesson 1. Do this too! At first things were normal, "Here take this booklet telling you how wonderful we are". I asked to see the second car. First he wanted personal info. I was not ready to give unless I saw the car. Lesson 2. Don't give out personal information until you have to, or be harangued. Finally the car was pulled up so I knew it was real (you know, just in case it was sold) During the test drive the UCS seemed worried the car would break. Bad sign. Lesson 3. When you test drive a car, don't just go around the block. Test the breaks, the acceleration, the steering the sway of the car, the alignment. Everything. Which I did. You can't do this by driving around the block at 20 miles per hour. After testing, I opened every door, and checked every function. EVERY. The car was ok. Not a dream car but it would do for a kid's first car. Lesson 4. Here's where the real fun began. My kid texted me another car to see. So this UCSman began to talk. And almost every out of his mouth was a lie. The the lectures on the wonders of This Subaru dealership. Subaru was best in this! (No, that's not true.) And best in that! (Total lie.) And his many "I've been selling this car and that for years and have 200,000 mile awards! etc. etc. And then he used the 'Old Salesman Handbook'. When I said I had another car to look at and asked for the total price of this car, the price suddenly went way up. This is where I discovered This place's outrageous dealer fees. I don't know if it was his shtick or not, but they came to over $1000 dollars (on a $6800 dollar car). Total about $10500 with taxes etc. Lesson 5. Dealer fees are basically scams especially on used cars taken as trade-ins, which this was. You find this by looking up the trade in value of the car, and what the dealer is asking. You can then see the difference. Dealers fees are just to pad the pockets a little more with some fairly fascinating excuses. Good ones don't do it. Lesson 6. Selling a car is a performance much of the time and he was a Star. First the condescension, then insults, then the anger act of "I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU BUY A CAR YOU KNOW!". I actually complemented him on this act. He demanded the VIN of the other car I was off to see. VERY big no-no, but I was curious, nauseated, and disgusted. He was so sure I had been reeled in by his charms. Ugh. He then gave me a completely false 'reading' then hid his screen when I walked around to see it. (I had the report already). Now, to be honest, to save time, I could possibly go back and get that car, it would do - if I dealt with a human being AND with no dealer fees. Then run and never come back. It wasn't the car's fault. But as I said, the dealership hired this guy. Too bad. The other car was ok too.

I give no star. I brought my 2011 Outback for replacement of the head gasket almost 3 weeks and still waiting. I had to call every couple of days to get a progress report. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN !!!!!!!

Brian Kochnower and Cathy Fonseca were awesome!
We found ourselves needing a car due to a recent accident, but dreaded shopping for the right vehicle and dealing with a pushy sales person. We truly lucked out because Brian was our sales person, he was knowledgeable, friendly, patient and set our nerves at ease. It was the most pleasureable car buying experience for my husband and myself. The financing phase also was made easy and informative with Cathy Fonseca who was patient as I asked questions and she helped us choose the right warranties for our purchase. We could not have asked for a better team, Thank You!

Great experience
I saw an Impreza that I liked, Phillip explained to me about the reliability, safety, and high resale value of the Subaru name. After I had my test drive, I really loved it. Philip and Cathy made my purchase a smooth transaction. Philip was great, and explained the advantages of this dealership. I would recommend Phil.

Horrible service. Lied to and then ignored.
Do not buy your car from here. The VIP program sounds great, but they treat you like a xxxxx. I love my car, but go to a different dealer because this one will make you hate Subaru. If you are in the mood for a small piece of my story, read on. When I bought my car I was told that the interior warrantee was for the life of the car. (Beige seats with a baby at the time). Turns out it lasted only one year. Upsetting yes, annoying yes, but whatever. I still wanted the extended one, and I'm willing to pay for it. But, for some reason they don't call you back. I have asked the manager, Dan Ross, multiple times to put me in touch with somebody who can help me with the warrantee and each time he tells me somebody will call me back but nobody ever does. I even have someone at corporate leaving messages after I contacted them, but still nothing. Apparently I have go in and make a scene to give them money!?!? And get what I was supposed to get to begin with?!?!? The service department has another issue completely. I brought my car and once it came back scratched hard core. Had to fight with them to get it fixed. Each time I bring it in and get a loner I always ask them to wait a second so I can take my 2-year old's car seat out and put it in the loaner, but without fail, every time, I take my eyes off of my car for a second, and it gets driven away. I then have to wait 15-20 minutes, with a bored baby, to get it back. So many other irritating things about this place. Some staff is nice, so it's not all bad, and Chris, the service manager seems like a good enough guy, but still, STAY AWAY. Buy a great car from somewhere else.

Hi Jake, I apologize for your frustration with our dealership and myself; though we have worked diligently to serve you thoroughly at each opportunity. Your requests for interior cleaning have been met and repeatedly adhered to, including extending coverage beyond typical soiling or wear and tear. While we are not perfect, I am unaware of us having had as many missteps as you have recounted. We are committed as an organization and I myself am dedicated to your satisfaction. I will work personally to resolve any remaining concerns you have as that is our commitment as a loyal customer. Thank you for bringing your feelings to my attention. Very truly yours, Daniel S. Best Dealership Ever!
I came here looking to trade my old car for a Subaru WRX and I’m glad I did. The inventory here is huge ! And salesman Philip was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful. The car buying processes isn’t an easy one but Phil made sure I was 100% satisfied with the car I received. The warranties on used cars is the best I’ve ever seen. They even offer to exchange the car / return your money if you’re not satisfied with the car within 30 days! All the reassurance made me more confident and comfortable in buying my car. I am the owner of a 2016 Subaru wrx and i couldn’t be happier. Grand Prix Subaru is the best and Phil is definitely the Go to Guy!

Dealer game me key that doesn't work!
I bought a 2014 Nissan Maxima back in November of 2017, and I was supposed to get two key, but only one original was found. So they made me another one but it was not an original Nissan key. It stopped working a couple of weeks later, and I had to take it back for reprogramming. This morning I tried to use it and once again it stopped working! I am entitled to an original key that will continue to work. But the service department supervisor told me last time that it's too expensive!
