I wanted to give a Big Up to Jorge Guzman for helping my daughter Chrissy with her lease of a new Compass Latitude. Jorge was a kind, honest, patient and most of all very professional during the entire process. Jorge did not push her around and he met with me her dad, Roger and clearly explained everything about the different vehicles available for our budget. The man did an outstanding job.... I recommend that he get a free lunch from the Boss....The entire staff in the dealership was nice to us.... Great experience at Garden City Jeep and again a warm thank you to Jorge Guzman for his help making a positive vibration in the car buying process !

My experience with Garden City Jeep has been nothing

My experience with Garden City Jeep has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite hoping they would rectify their egregious mistakes, it’s evident that this dealership operates with blatant dishonesty and unethical practices. I was assured that the vehicle I was purchasing would include essential safety features, such as side airbags and blind spot monitoring, crucial for protecting my two young children. Unfortunately, neither of these features were present in the vehicle I received. In addition, they imposed a 'security guard' warranty costing over $1,300 without my knowledge or consent. This warranty turned out to be nothing more than a meaningless sticker on the driver's door and of course it is non-refundable. Furthermore, after negotiating a final price with the sales department, the finance department added over $10,000 to the total purchase amount without my knowledge or consent, which directly contradicts our agreed-upon terms. The most alarming issue was discovering that my name had been forged on the financing contract. The finance department not only inflated the vehicle’s price and added the 'warranty' but also doubled the agreed-upon interest rate and fraudulently signed my name—again, without my knowledge, consent or approval. If you value honesty and transparency, I strongly advise you to avoid Garden City Jeep. Their bait-and-switch tactics and deceptive practices make them a dealership to steer clear of at all costs.

I will never in my life buy another Jeep from this

I will never in my life buy another Jeep from this dealership. It's not the sales that I have an issue with. You sold me a car with a guarantee that there would be a discounted oil change and free NYS inspections as part of the VIP program. Upon arrival at the dealer for a regular oil change, you're told there's a new owner and we are no longer honoring the VIP program from when I was sold the car. That is strike number one. I paid for the service full price and now return for the next service with a coupon from the MOPAR website for two oil changes for $130. The MOPAR website says print coupon and present at the dealer. Well, I wasted my time at the dealer today because they refused to honor their own manufacturer coupon claiming it must be activated 24 hours prior to coming in with MOPAR. The website and coupon terms make no mention of this and when I requested a manager, no one was available. This dealership is GARBAGE. If you're considering buying a car here, BEWARE OF THE TERRIBLE SERVICE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL ENCOUNTER AT A LATER TIME. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. This dealership lost all my future business and I hope anyone reading this does the same.

I least a Grand Cherokee overland L 2022 model form this

I least a Grand Cherokee overland L 2022 model form this dealership for 36 months. When it was time to sign the lease agreement I noticed the terms were for 42 months. I addressed this issue with the finance person that was doing the paper work, and he went and drew up another lease agreement to show the lease was for 36 months. The other day, I gathered up the papers to the vehicle and headed out the dealership to see if I can get into a new model. Well it turned out that the finance guy duped me by giving me the lease agreement for the 42 months. That’s not all, I came to find out that they over charged me by 11,000 dollars over the going price for this vehicle. Greed and corruption! I would highly recommend you check your paper work before leaving, also shop around for prices before buying from the dealership.

It must be an unfortunate situation or who ever is doing

It must be an unfortunate situation or who ever is doing the repair is not competent. I leased a new jeep cherokee 2023. So far I only have 900 miles on it. Water coming through between windshield and roof. 1st time took it to service after 3 amd half weeks,I got the call it is ready after several calls to follow up with no response especially form Service manager. Picked it up, next day it snowed, water came through again, so I called service and they would not give me a loaner. Called my sales man set me up with a loaner. Dropped it off Monday, picked out up yesterday, guess what?? Water still coming though, called them left 2 messages today, and texted twice with photos, so far no response. Does this qualify for the lemon law???? There is no sense of customer care and manager is either missing in action or doesn't care. Sorry all, just frustrated with Garfen City Jeep

Just leased a new 2023 Jeep Wagoneer from Brandon and

Just leased a new 2023 Jeep Wagoneer from Brandon and couldn't be happier with the service we received. We originally started by looking at the Grand Cherokee but were always interested in the bigger vehicle. They didn't have what we were looking for on the lot but we're able to secure one from another dealership over 4 hours away. They did the leg work and were able to get the truck within two days. I would highly recommend both Brandon and Garden City Chrysler Jeep Dodge for anyone interested in a new vehicle.

I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in 2014 with the

I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in 2014 with the platinum package for the life of my car which consists of $8 full service oil changes and free inspection. On 8/2623, I took my car in for a oil change and I was told they no longer honor my contract and I would have to pay for a factory maintenance service in order to get a free oil change under their new VIP program. Well, I refused the new program. I was then informed that I had to sign paperwork to authorize them to service my car, which is something I've never done before either. In reality they had me e-sign a document that stated I'm aware and consent to their new VIP program. The service person showed me limited information and did not disclose the full content of the document I was told I had to sign. The document was on an IPAD that apparently allowed her to control what information I was able to see on the screen. Extremely deceitful and unprofessional behavior. I was essentially duped into consenting to their new program!! That's not all, to add fuel to fire....I left the car at the dealership and was told the car will be ready within 2 1/2 hours and I'll get a text. Four hours went by and no one contacted me, I tried calling and the service person did not answer the phone. I went back to the dealership and my car was in the same spot that I left it. Nothing was done 4 hours later. I was livid so I asked for my keys back and a copy of the document that I signed to make sure I wasn't charged for anything and that is where I saw the additional information on the document. I am deeply saddened by the way I was treated. It felt like retaliation because I stood my ground and refused to be bullied into consenting to this new VIP program. Shame on you Garden City Jeep!!!!!!!!!

Purchased a white jeep compass in 2017 that had a leak in

Purchased a white jeep compass in 2017 that had a leak in the sunroof that resulted in my car flooding and ended up leaving a review on Google was an ordeal to say the least. The situation ended in me getting into a blue 2017 Jeep Compass at your dealership and unfortunately I have not had a good experience at all. After about a month or so of driving the vehicle, it starts stalling in traffic at stop signs and lights. With the STOP/START feature turned on, I would stop as normal at a stop sign. The car would shut off and then when I release the brake the car is obviously supposed to turn back on... that wasn't happening. The car would be completely off and would not move. I would be sitting in traffic awkwardly for minutes driving to get the car park brake off because that's automatically activated when this happens. Get the car shut off and then turned back on. It happened often enough that I called in and tried to get to the service dept. A gentleman, can't remember his name, said that I could just turn it off (I'm assuming he just didn't understand what I was saying). Anyway, I did just that and guess what, the battery dies not even 8 months into having the car. How long is a car battery supposed to last? Google says on average 3-5 years, certainly not 1. So I went into the service dept and was basically gaslit by one of the service managers, basically saying the car battery being dead is my fault because I don't use the stop/start and it's necessary to ensure both batteries stay charged. YES SIR I UNDERSTAND THAT, I WOULD USE THIS LOVELY FEATURE IF IT WORKED PROPERLY AND DIDNT LEAVE ME AND MY FAMILY STALLED IN A CAR en route to many occasions. I requested a different service manager who seemed to understand and changed the batteries out free or charge and told me everything with the stop/start should be functioning. That was a lie because just a few short months later, the car started to stall again and I just played the game of turning it off and turning it back on because the service department has never been helpful and guess what. The batteries died again, because of course! I didn't even contact Garden City Jeep to fix it again and just simply gave up, I was careless for a very long time. Tried to trade the car out and could not so had no choice but to try and fix the car which I ENDED UP PAYING OUT OF POCKET $700 for! Paid for an issue on a faulty vehicle, I'm upset about it but they already told me there was nothing else that could be done. The issue with my vehicle is that the Stop/Start system has not functioned correctly since I purchased the car in late 2020/early 2021. Resulting in the car batteries having to be replaced way more than normal and the overall parts of the car failing. So much so, I paid for 2 new car batteries which I wasn't pleased with in middle to late June of this year for my car to now not turn on only a month and a half later. The car had to be towed off the side of the road to Garden City Jeep this week where they advised my car didn't start due to my car starter failing?! Which is obvious because the car stop/start system has not been functioning properly since the very beginning. They are expecting me to pay out of my own pocket for an issue that should have been fixed when I brought my car into the service department a few months after receiving it letting them know the car was stalling at stop lights/stop signs (STOP/START system not functioning), the issue should have been fixed before it was cleared for sale.

Dealer response

Candace....you put 40,000 miles on the car and then wanted free work. You did the same on your previous vehicle.

Consumer response

Do you honestly think and believe with the issues I was having with the car from the start, I’ve never had to pay to have it fixed. The amount of times is way more than the average because for I was given a faulty vehicle with a faulty stop/start that drained the battery and a number of other issues and I drove the car for work. Paying for repairs was never an issue which I’ve done outside of your dealership because your service team doesn’t listen to their customers. I wanted the fact that I was given a faulty vehicle from the start rectified, not once but twice. My car ran for exactly 1 year before being completely inoperable again after only having it for 2 sir or whoever you are. Please explain to me how that makes sense on a car your dealership deemed certified pre owned and in outstanding condition. My car sat inoperable for 6 months before I even stepped foot in your dealership in June of this year so what exactly are you talking about. And the only reason I went to you guys is to see if someone would actually listen to me and help but here you are replying to my review with a baseless response. Have a good day

Consumer response

And in regards to my first vehicle, please know what you’re talking about. Please tell me how the car flooding inside every time it rained was my fault. Windows closed, everything is fine but my car floods from the side panels of the windshield every time it rains. Sounds like a manufacturers issue.
