When I come in for an oil change, all I want is an oil change. They pressure you to have extra service performed. I do not need my injectors cleaned so often or my transmission serviced with so few miles. If they need that much service then I need to buy another brand of automobile.

Had an appointment with this dealership to drive a Wagoneer. We are not local so brought the entire family (including two small children) and drove 2.5 hours only to show up and have them selling it to someone else when we arrived. Terrible communication and process. I would not recommend doing business with a company like this.

Deception is the Perception
We live in Pensacola, FL and my wife spotted a vehicle (a nice Volvo xc60) with the pearly white color she loves at Tameron Auto (Daphne, AL). Having already been given a quote from a different dealer for the exact same make and model, a year newer with about 4.5K less miles and a lower out-the-door price. The color, the miles, and the price were the only difference. We were already scheduled to take the 45-minute ride to Daphne to view and test drive the vehicle when we asked if they could at least match the out-the-door price. Before we could start the journey, we were suddenly and abruptly told the vehicle did not pass inspection and "we will not be able to sell it." Meanwhile, the car continued to be listed for sale. And even now, weeks later and as of this review, the vehicle is still listed for sale here on (carsdotcom) and who knows where else. The salesperson was Angela Ellison and she appeared nice and customer service oriented until suddenly, she wasn't. The staff seemed friendly between texts and telephonic ally while initially going back and forth attempting to reach a deal. Suddenly, the car wasn't for sell anymore, yet it's still for sale as of this review. Angela did ask in our final text, if there were any other makes or models my wife would be interested in. I responded, she didn't. In my response I also informed her that my father-in-law (a 25 yr retired car salesman) said, the inspection should've come before the attempted sale not after. We never heard from her or Tameron Automotive (Daphne, AL) again. It's just an overall sad commentary and I'm sharing it because she seemed like such a nice person and it was not a very good feeling, and I wouldn't want any other good intention-ed consumers to feel it. Prospecting to purchase a vehicle is stressful enough in and of itself. My wife eventually did get that wonderful Volvo xc60 she wanted, and it was the same year, a much better deal, far less miles, and a far better price offered compared to the one by Tameron. And we purchased it in Helena, AL so we didn't blame the entire state (insert smiley face here). So, we're happy with our final outcome. And although somethings may just happen for a reason, it doesn't mean the bad thing shouldn't be reported (another smiley here). I reluctantly posted this as someone who generally likes to speak good about anyone I can. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I hope this helps someone in some way who happens to read reviews prior to purchasing. I leave you with the parting and infamous consumer warning: BUYER BEWARE!

Don’t do it.
Absolutely horrible. Drive an hour and a half only to be told the truck is in service for a part that has nothing to do with it running. I can’t even get in it and crank it. Calms me down. Says he will take care of me only to offer me a $200 discount THAT WOULDNT EVEN COVER MY GAS!!!!!!

Beware of Bait and Switch.
If you're not ready for a bait and switch beware of this dealership. I was shown one price then after 3 1/2 hours I was presented a totally different deal. They are the king of add-ons. I could have purchased a much better vehicle from a different dealership for a lower price. After several months I intend to trade this truck in for something more to my liking.

Won’t Call Back
I can't get anybody to give me a price on a vehicle I want to buy. I originally called at 11:00 am on Saturday and spoke with a salesperson. I told them I live three hours away and would like to complete as much as possible on the phone. She took all my information and said she would get it to a manager who would give me a call. I didn't receive a quick call back so I tried calling again at around 1:30 pm. I was told by the salesperson that the manager had my paperwork and had about three people in front of me but would call me back. I never heard back from them. On Monday morning I called and told the person that answered the phone what happened and they said they would let the manager know and somebody would call me back very soon. A couple hours later, I got a phone call from somebody that had no idea what was going on and apologized profusely for not getting the information that was requested and said that they would let the sales manager know and that I would receive a call back momentarily. That was about 4 hours ago. I have just given up on trying to purchase from this dealership.

Mr. Kaminski, we definitely did fail to get back to you promptly on Saturday 6/5/2021, and I am very sorry that occurred. Here is the email I had sent you that following week and our management staff had been trying to reach you however I must assume that you were too frustrated after Saturday and did not respond back. Mr. Kaminski, I tried to reach you this morning at XXX-XXX-XXXX but there was no answer and it did not go to voicemail. I would like to apologize that we failed to provide you with the information requested last Saturday after Linda called. Her job is to call customers who submit trade inquiries through the Kelly Blue Book Instant Cash Offer system and schedule appointments to inspect the vehicles. She is not equipped to quote prices or work deals. There is no excuse, but I will let you know that we were extremely busy in the showroom until closing time Saturday, and that we have to prioritize in-person customers and respond to email requests in between. Unfortunately sometimes things get missed. I have been on vacation all week, and back to work today or else I would have reached out to you personally sooner. I did receive the alert when you emailed back in response to our automated email on the 8th at 1:50 PM and I contacted our sales manager Cavan Scheer and I see that he, Jason Krebs (sales manager), and Chad Daigle (sales rep) have all been contacting you throughout the week via phone and email to try and provide the info requested. Again, I am very sorry that we dropped the ball, and if I can be of assistance going forward please reach out to me directly at 251-626-2641 and I will do everything I can to assist you and provide a more positive experience. Sincerely, Andre LeMaitre General Sales Manager Tameron Gulf Coast HWY 98 27161 HWY 98 Daphne, AL 36526 (251) 626-2641 http://www.tamerongulfcoast.com/
Beware of Internet Deals!
Made a deal over email. Called to confirm that we were coming to buy the vehicle from FL. Let them know we had a 2 hr drive to get there. An hour into our trip there they called and said that someone on the lot wanting to buy the vehicle so sorry. Andre was the sales manager who backed out of the deal after the fact. Beware of making any internet deals!!!!! Tori was the sales person but I think Andre made the decision to sell out from under us.

Brian, I am very sorry that this occurred, I know it was disappointing and frustrating for you as a customer. I did not decide to sell the vehicle out from under you, I personally would not do that intentionally, and that is not how the Tameron organization conducts business. We have three rooftops at this location with 6 sales managers, and 25-30 salespeople split between the three. While Tori was communicating with you on the phone from within our internet sales location, one of the salespeople at our CDJRF building had been simultaneously working with a customer in person, and had obtained a signed purchase agreement on the vehicle. We were not aware of this while on the phone with you, and the vehicle had not yet left our facility so we set the appointment for you to come. When we were getting the keys to take the Grand Cherokee to clean-up in preparation for your arrival we discovered that the salesperson in the other building had already closed a sale on the vehicle, and at that point I immediately had to call you and your wife to inform you that the vehicle was no longer available. We could not decline the other buyer's purchase agreement because you were also interested in purchasing. It is unfortunate that this occurred and I am sorry for your frustration. I hope you will consider us in the future and if I can ever be of assistance please let me know. Sincerely, Andre LeMaitre General Sales Manager Tameron Gulf Coast 251-626-2641
