Best Described as Bait and Switch

I had an extremely lengthy back and forth text conversation with a sales person and referenced a trade in. Being very up front and honest about knowing what my trade was worth and the negative equity. With a very specific target payment and down payment in mind. Another dealership sent a quote sheet which was inaccurate according to them. But how would I know. This isn’t my business. Regardless I was very specific on what I needed and wanted and was told multiple times that it could happen. The last question was are you sure due to my boyfriend living two hours away with the trade and the sales person said yes bring the trade tonight. By the time the car gets there and we choose the new car he wants. Everything had changed. The payment and them flat out saying I never told them about a trade. Even though I have an entire day of back and forth text messages and the sales person saying bring the trade tonight. There was no apology. No let’s see how we can help you. Let’s explain why. When I asked for the payment breakdown I was told the computer does the math. Nothing is hidden. Basically the deal for the vehicle with the trade was $54k and incentives but by the end it was over $80k to own the car. So on 3 years the lease would charge me almost $17k and nobody could explain. Only managers to treat me like I’m stupid and tell me the computer does the math. Now today they are texting again and saying they can make the deal happen just keep my current vehicle! Because that makes sense. I would love 2 car payments. Said nobody ever! Now the deal for the new car was a good deal yea. But this doesn’t fix the flat out lies and misinformation give to me by their sales person now for the lack of knowledge to break down a lease payment. They tell me the computer does the math it is what it is. I found the simple breakdown myself on google. Not hard but why should I have to be the one. Furthermore why would their salesperson lie and nobody take accountability but instead I do not know how to do math or how cars work. We all make mistakes. Take accountability for your reps actions and not put it on the customer when there’s text message proof!

Oil change

Went in for a oil change. They gave me two free when I bought the car. I guess it has a new owner and they wouldn’t recognize the Paper I had with the promises. I stated I wasn’t happy and the service manager said I should just leave. I said I was gonna pay for it like I said but then I said well I’ll just take you up on leaving and go somewhere else. I did and it was actually cheaper. Thanks you saved me money and I know now never to come back to your dealership. My family buys cars very often and was thinking of upgrading. This is not how you treat new or old customers.
