WasI worked with Abraham and he was wonderful! He was knowledgeable and helpful in a way that provided all of the information that I needed without feeling pressured. From the beginning to the end of the process, everything went smoothly. I ended up with a car that I love and it took less than a week. WORST PLACE EVER.

WORST PLACE EVER. Ignored, lied to, ignored again. No gas, no 2nd key, no follow up, no tags or information, no return calls or texts. Have reached out to the sales manager and the general manager. Have you ever driven off of the car lot in your new car SOBBING UNCONTROLLABLY? Yeah- it's awful. STERLING MINI IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I bought my Mini in 2018 and have had the best customer

I bought my Mini in 2018 and have had the best customer service experiences with them ever since. They perform all of my maintenance as well as repairs and I couldn't be happier. They have never tried to overbill or encourage unnecessary work, and their staff and mechanics know these cars inside and out. Jeff has been my service coordinator for a while and he is always polite and very efficient as well as concerned about making sure I have alternate transport if they need to keep the car. I'll keep going to MINI of Sterling as long as I own this car, and it'll continue on to the next car I buy from them!

MINI of Sterling must be selling so many vehicles that

MINI of Sterling must be selling so many vehicles that they don’t need your money. I have been nearly begging them for the last week to take my money. It pains me to write a negative review, it’s not something I enjoy nor do I relish in it however, with my experience it is warranted. I went to MINI of Sterling on October 27, 2023 just before closing time. Walked on the lot, just browsing at the inventory. A sales person walked out and asked if I wanted to test drive it. I was gracious but declined because it was so late and didn’t want to keep him there any longer than he needed to be, but I told him I would come back the next day. He was very gracious and insisted he didn’t mind. Ultimately, I ended up test driving the car and loved it. After a short test drive I took the keys back into him and told him I would contact him the next day, because I was very interested. October 28, 2023 I text him and told him I wanted to order a custom MINI Cooper JCW and sent over the build sheet. He responded and said we would setup an appointment to come in and submit the build. This is where I start to notice some red flags and should have stopped, but kept going. I arrived on Monday, October 30, 2023 with my build sheet. Told him I was ready to purchase. They took a deposit and I signed some paperwork. I asked for a copy of the paperwork and was told “No, they weren’t allowed to give it to me”. RED FLAG NUMBER ONE. Three days later (November 2, 2023) I was asked to sign their build sheet and send it back. The build wasn’t correct and I asked for it to be fixed. 24 hours later (November 3, 2023) I was told they would change it and send it back. 3 days later, I had to follow up (RED FLAG NUMBER TWO) to ask ask if they had made the change and was told they would ask the sales manager. A few hours later a new build sheet arrived and was correct, I signed it and sent it back. Fast forward to December 30, 2023 I sent the sales person a message asking for an update and was told he would have something for me on January 2, which was fine since it was so close to a holiday. I didn’t get the update until Wednesday, January 3…but no big deal. I received no further communication from MINI of Sterling until March 19, 2024 when I was told my car would arrive at the dealership on March 21, 2024. I asked if we could work on numbers and financing, so that it would all be in place when I came to get the car. He said he would send me a link to the finance application. I asked for a total cost of the car, minus the deposit and credit. He told me he would send it to me. I completed the finance application and sent it back. 24 hours later ME: Good morning. Wanted to check back and see if you had any purchase numbers. Thanks! Sales: Good morning I don’t know what exactly you’re asking for but your paperwork with the finance. ME: This is what I’m asking for. “Do you have a total cost of the car, minus the deposit, and credit?” Sales: All right, I’ll let you know within an hour thank you FIVE HOURS LATER ME: Good Afternoon. Do you have an update? Sales: Good afternoon there is no update. Sorry. I’ll let you know very soon. ME: Is there someone else I need to talk to? I’ve asked for this. We’ve completed the application I’m trying to make sure everything is as streamlined as possible but you all aren’t being super transparent with me. ONE DAY LATER - March 21 Sales: No, it’s the thing the Finance, their short and employee and they want to do who show up in the showroom first but I’m gonna follow up with them as soon as they can give me the rates. Sorry for the delays, sir. ONE MORE DAY LATER - March 22 ME: is there any update? ……..radio silence. My husband tried to call on Thursday, March 21 asking to speak to a sales manager and was told someone would call him…it has been two days and they haven’t called. MINI of Sterling now has a deposit on a vehicle that I ordered five months ago and I can’t get straight answers or a response.

I recently made the mistake of purchasing a used car from

I recently made the mistake of purchasing a used car from Sterling Motorcars. The car had passed a VA Safety Inspection, but as I live in MD, I'm required to get a second inspection. The Motor Mount and CV Joint both failed! Motor mounts connect the engine to the frame of the car. So I've been driving my kids around in a car with an engine that might fall out! If it gets damaged, it could cost $10,000+ to replace it! When I contacted my salesman, Rabih AbdulMalek, he informed me that his sales manager, Todd Patykewich, said the car was sold "As Is" and there is "nothing he can do." I had simply asked that Sterling repair the defects, provide a loaner car during service and provide an extended warranty to cover any future issues missed during the dealer's safety inspection. I'm very disappointed that Todd chose to hide behind the "As Is" excuse instead of honoring Sterling's pledge to "work closely with you to ensure you're buying the perfect used car for your lifestyle." I doubt anyone's "lifestyle" involves driving their family around in such a dangerous car. As a "Trusted New & Pre-Owned Car Dealerships in Sterling, VA", I expected much better service than I received. PS - the windshield defrost doesn't work and there is a missing bolt that holds the door panel on, but since it wasn't part of the safety inspection, I didn't even ask for that to be repaired.

Frustrating experience.

Frustrating experience. Im sorry to have to write this review. I tried to give this dealership my business, I really really did. For two weeks I kept emailing them, stating that I wish to do the process over email as I dont have the time to come in. I even emailed the General Manager - only to be ignored. Each time I was ignored by the sales person or sent a boilerplate response stating that I should come in to the dealership. Seems like this dealer is stuck in the 1980's way of doing business. In the end I went with MINI of Montgomery and they did everything online and even delivered the car to my home! Thats what car buying should be!

I just can't say enough good things about my experience

I just can't say enough good things about my experience working with Julie on the purchase of our new Mini. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, caring and courteous; everything you want from an automobile sales person. I recommend her to you without reservation if you're in the market for a Mini. I ordered a Clubman JCW from Mini of Sterling. It took almost six months to get it. With the pandemic and chips shortage, I can understand the long wait however my salesman Abraham never bothered to keep me abreast of status and I had to initiate a call or text to get any update. One day I called and he said my Mini was ready and we set up an appointment. I called the day before the appointment but was told he confused me with another customer and my car was not ready. After I finally got my car, I had to keep texting him to find out when my tags would be ready. More than seven weeks passed by, I texted again. He asked whether I got my state inspection. I got a new car and it doesn’t need a state inspection. I called management and my tags were in the shop but no one bothered to call or text me. I bought my first Mini from Mini of Montgomery and took it for service at Mini of Alexandria without any issues. It was a mistake for me to choose Sterling for my second Mini, my recent purchase.

I called Mini of Sterling the same day I wrote this review and asked to speak with a manager. Four days later, I still haven’t received a call back. If Mini of Sterling is truly interested in hearing from their customers, wouldn’t I have already received a call back instead of a public response here? BTW, the tags I finally received were dated over a month ago. It is clear that the tags were just sitting there and nobody tried to call.
