The professionalism at this particular car dealership is

The professionalism at this particular car dealership is astoundingly horrible. I drove an hour and 40 minutes after work earlier this week to drive a vehicle. Afterwards I told the salesman that I would like him to hold it for me until after I spoke with my wife. He said that that would be great. He did not tell me that I needed to put down a $2500 deductible. I have been texting with him the last two days finalizing prices and talking about warranties. I told him specifically that I would come on Saturday in the afternoon to pick it up. About two hours later, I got a text message from him, saying that another one of the salesman had sold that vehicle, and that he would keep ann eye out for another one like it. There was no apology. I called and spoke to one of the sales managers explaining the situation. He did not seem concerned in the least. He told me that I hadn’t put down a $2500 down payment on it and without that how were any of the other salesman supposed to know that it was on hold and that I was coming to buy it on Saturday? There was no apology. There was no contrition nor attempt to make it right. I would not recommend this institution to anybody. While they do sell nice vehicles, their salesman apparently are not trained to tell customers about a deposit; their managers could not care less about customer satisfaction, nor make any attempt to right their wrong. Other than the initial meeting with Michael the salesman there is nothing positive that I have to say about this dealership. I would not recommend it to anybody.

Everyone we dealt with was very nice and well mannered.

Everyone we dealt with was very nice and well mannered. We were able to get the car we wanted at we think was a fare price. The salesman, Mike Carnegie, was knowledgeable and informative. We enjoyed the experience.

They were fast to respond to my email inquiry.

They were fast to respond to my email inquiry. When they did, they were friendly and professional with their correspondence. It turns out the car they had wasn’t the one I was looking for, and they offered alternate vehicles as well.

Dealer response

Thank You!

Great working with Mike Carnegie to buy a used car.

Great working with Mike Carnegie to buy a used car. He worked extra to help me coordinate the purchase from out of the country before arriving to pick it up.

Imagine flying from out of state to St Louis and then

Imagine flying from out of state to St Louis and then driving 2.5 hours to help your daughter with her first big car purchase. Imagine the smile on her face seeing a shiny 2020 4 runner waiting for her to test drive. This wasn't the cheapest vehicle but the one she thought was best for her and was available somewhat close to where she lives [not to where I live]. We agreed to a price and they were holding the vehicle with our deposit before I left town. Cashier check in hand, last step test drive. Now imagine the disappointment when the vehicle was FILTHY inside and out. Dirt, leaves, spilled beverages, dog hair, etc. Outside dirty. While test driving sales guy calls us, are you coming back soon I have another appointment! After expressing disappointment in the vehicle not being clean and ready to go after traveling so far, the sales manager, Luke was extremely rude, condescending to us. They took another attempt at cleaning while we waited and failed. We purposely left the liner to the cup holder out showing the mess in and around-not cleaned and simply returned to holder, all crevices full of dirt, outside was run through car wash but not dried and shined up, no shined up tires. While we waited for the detail shop we watched our "busy" sales guy wander around and chat with other sales members with nothing to do while we waited on the detail shop. Is this how you expect a 40,000.00 vehicle purchase to go? Especially for a client that you knew was traveling from out of state? I will never forget this and unfortunately neither will my daughter. Good luck to whomever buys that car. Because we did not!!!

Call David Slyman

David Slyman helped me with my new Macan. Explained everything before and after purchase. Had minor issues with left high beam headlamp and he assisted in helping to get it fixed. Service manager was recently let go and hopefully service will improve. Call David when you want a Porsche. He will help facilitate the process smoothly

My wife and I have purchased several Porsches over the

My wife and I have purchased several Porsches over the years. Both from authorized Porsche dealers and from individuals. I saw a used Macan on their website and noticed they added a lojack and ceramic paint protection that added $5k to the price. Like vin etching, undercoating, fabric protects and extended warranties. Does Your Car Need Undercoating? - Consumer Reports < good explanation of the common dealer scams used today these are not necessary. I saw a car they had and offered to pay full price in cash less the lojack and ceramic coating as I did not want or need them. They said both has been already install and refused my offer, so I moved on. A couple weeks or so later they contacted me. I said I was interested in the Macan but as I said the last time I talked to them, I would not pay for the lojack and ceramic and I was told it was already installed. The salesperson said he would talk the GM and I was told a few days later the lojack and ceramic was not added to the car and they would accept my offer. I ended up not purchasing the vehicle and I sent them a letter explaining their practices were a little shady. I don’t want to give a dealer that uses those techniques my money knowing it will just encourage them to continue those practices. I cant even imagine how shady their service department is. I have the option as everyone does to spend their money and give profit to companies that at least try to be reasonably honest. If one part of the business, let’s say the sales department, is willing to take advantage of their customers what would make you think any part of their business would not do the same. This morning I get an email – Under new management. Not a surprise but I would not hang my hat that anything has changed. Under every car a lojack is still included in the price. I would not do business with anyone who forces a customer to buy a product they don’t want and they make about $1000 off every lojack sold. There are much better dealers out there!
