I bought a 2024 Kia Ev6 through Van Nuys Kia.

I bought a 2024 Kia Ev6 through Van Nuys Kia. Mohamed was the sales associate who assisted me with this purchase. Eric Bradanovic assisted with the finance agreement. To be very brief please avoid this place as they can be very deceptive. I will high light some key issues: The dealer failed to verbally disclose that they applied the $7,500 federal EV tax credit as a down payment. They pressured us to sign, I wanted to go home to think about it and discuss this further with my mother who is primary on the contract and she was not with me at the time. The sales man insisted to sign and close the deal. They drove to my mothers house and collected her signature past closing hours around 10pm. They collected a signature without properly explaining how the tax credit was being used. The way they made it seem was I was leaving with a brand new car and putting 0 down, which in reality they used $7500 down. A contract must be knowingly and voluntarily agreed to. High pressured sales tactics and lack of disclosure prevented us from making an informed decision about the lease. In addition, the dealer included inflated fees and add-ons (e.g., ELO GPS, Theft DNA, etc.) that were not properly disclosed and included without our consent. This brought the monthly payment to $780.32 which appears excessive based on industry standards, suggesting possible predatory leasing practices. The sad part is, we asked Eric if there is anything he can do to help lower the payment and he told us "no". Which in reality he had the power to remove these excessive add ons to help bring the price down. This is unethical & violates California Business & Professions Code § 17200 (Unfair Competition Law) and California Vehicle Code § 11713.1 (Prohibited Dealer Practices). We will get a consumer rights lawyer to further investigate this and file a complaint with the attorney general.

I had an amazing experience buying my new car at Van Nuys

I had an amazing experience buying my new car at Van Nuys Kia. Gabriel Hernandez, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to understand my needs and preferences, and he was patient with all of my questions. He even stayed late to help me finalize the paperwork and teach me all the features my car has. I would highly recommended Gabriel to anyone looking for a great car buying experience. He was attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful.

I financed my first vehicle at Kia Van Nuys and got

I financed my first vehicle at Kia Van Nuys and got ripped off. It is a used Honda Civic 2019. The salesperson George and the finance guy Eric Bradanovic both are unethical. They added a total fee of $3,785 (ELP GPS $940, surface protection $995, Fidelity warranty services $1850) of additional services/extended warranty without my knowledge. When I questioned Eric about these charges, he falsely claimed that these add-ons were mandatory and a part of the dealership’s policy. This is completely untrue. It’s clear their practices are designed to mislead and exploit customers, especially first-time buyers like myself. They like to scam people and take their hardworking money. I advise potential customers in the San Fernando Valley to avoid this dealership and instead take their business to a more trustworthy and transparent location. The sales manager should see how these salespersons are conducting business with pure lies. I will ask for a refund for the extra services they added and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission to take action against the dealership. If they refuse to redund, then I will pay the restocking fee and return the car. Also, George kept one of the car keys as I did not have the car title on me, which I traded in, but I did sign the bill of sale, which should be enough. Very bad experience as a first-time buyer.

I purchased a used 2022 Kia EV6 in November of last year

I purchased a used 2022 Kia EV6 in November of last year (2023) from this dealership. I want to start by saying the majority of my purchase process was pleasant and easy. My issues mostly came AFTER the purchase. Firstly, I was only given 1 key fob. I asked him why I was only getting one key instead of the normal 2, where he said they only give 1 key on used cars and that if I wanted to purchase another, I could do that. I told him I was not interested in purchasing another key, that I was under the impression it would come with 2, and that the paperwork I was given from the CPO inspection said there were 2. I was then told that to be a CPO vehicle, 2 keys were not necessary. I did one last double check of the car before leaving. Everything was looking great, but then I noticed, the cargo floor that usually comes with the EV6 was completely missing. This is the carpeted flooring of the trunk that is placed on top of the V2L adapter WHICH WAS ALSO MISSING! I asked him where those things were because when we checked out the car earlier, I never saw the charger, but I DID see the carpeted floor! He said he had no idea, and that the department that it was at to get ready had already closed. He told me that he would find out the following day where those items were, and he would have them shipped to me for free since I was far away. I asked him what happens if he can’t find them?? He said “I’ll talk to my manager, and we will order those 2 items brand new for you, and have them shipped to you”. I told him that was fair, and thanked him and left! The next day, I never received a call… I called the dealer and asked for my salesperson, and was told he already went home. The next couple of days I was busy with work, and never got any calls. A week later, I called back and finally spoke with him. He said they were unable to locate the items that were missing. I told him, okay so we’ll get them ordered? He said “my manager won’t approve purchasing new items since it was a used car”. I told him that was unacceptable and that they promised me those items. He told me that their used car manager said when they get another used ev6 in, they will take those items out of that vehicle, and ship me those. Again I chose to believe him, and said that was fine since I wasn’t in dire need of those items at the moment anyway. For the next couple months I routinely checked their used inventory online. Finally 2 used EV6’s popped up in their inventory. I called back and spoke to a manager about everything. They said they had never heard of this promise that was made to me, and they would never do something like this. I called my salesperson back again, and he said I spoke to the wrong manager, and that he would do this still. I said, “awesome, so you can ship these for me then?” He said “no no, you will have to come pick them up, they wouldn’t approve shipping” WHAT?! I told him fine, I’ll come in and get them. When I went in a couple of days later, I was presented with an invoice for these 2 items. Brand new from their website. I asked what this was… they said these were the parts “I requested to purchase”! I was so confused! They told me they would not give me items from another vehicle and that if I wanted them, I could purchase them brand new from their site and they would be delivered to my home. This is absolutely ridiculous! I’ve been toyed with for MONTHS now, and expected to purchase a $329.99 cargo floor, and $674.99 V2L connector! Over $1000 of accessories that COME WITH THE CAR! Not to mention a $400+ key that I never got either! I was asked almost immediately to post a review for their dealership, and when I told them I was going to mention this experience in my review they asked me to “hold off, until we can make it right” to give them a chance to fix this first. It’s almost be a year now, and I’ve wasted hours and days trying to get this taken care of.

My car seems worse since bringing it in.

My car seems worse since bringing it in. They also said they'd give a complimentary car wash, and they didn't. And since I live close they offer a free Lyft ride to and back from the dealership. When it was time for me to return they said the prices surged and they weren't able to get be a Lyft back. I won't be bringing my car back here.

This dealer's service department is unethical.

This dealer's service department is unethical. I brought my car in for a front light that was out, After waiting two hours for them to tell me what the problem was. Finally I was told that I needed two lamp assembly heads at a cost of $3501.00 and labor was not included.. I left the dealership and later took my car to a friend's repair shop where they checked and found that I needed one light assembly at a cost of $150.00, The light was installed and my lights are working fine. This dealership is not only unethical but a rip-off. I would advise all owners of Kia's not to bring their cars here for repair.

Lied about price of car.

Lied about price of car. Four of us went there to test drive 1 used Kia Sportage. We said we would be back 4 days later to buy it paying cash. Price was $20,000. The picture on the internet also shows $20,000. We were told that this was the total price not including tax and license. It had scratches and the emergency tire was missing. When we got the cash and came back 4 days later, they said it had upgrades and the price is now $29,000.

Car was serviced four times for an overheating AC

Car was serviced four times for an overheating AC charging system on a 2023 Niro EV. The last two times, the car was kept three and five days respectively, without any evidence whatsoever that the car was touched by a tech. Neither time was the car plugged in for a diagnosis (charge on battery decreased during service.) Also, it wasn't driven to diagnose a front end issue (no added miles.) Instead, the service report reported lies, that no problems were found in either case. Don't go here.

$2,480 in add-ons.

$2,480 in add-ons. The CARS Rule makes it illegal for dealers to charge consumers for add-ons that don't provide a benefit. Nitrogen tire fill $299, ELOS GPS 1yr protection $495, Finishing touch 3yr $1295 and Pro Door protection $395. It is 2024 and dealers still rip you off with add-ons that do not benefit. All of these can be done for less than $100. I am surprised they did not add vin etching to vehicle and catalytic converter for $499. Finishing touch? Is that the Coup de Grace?
