I recently visited Hanlees Kia in Davis and had an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and my sales agent, Steve Hopkins, went above and beyond to assist me. He was knowledgeable, patient, energetic and made sure I got a great deal on my Kia EV9. Steve’s professionalism and genuine care made the whole process smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for excellent service and a great deal, I highly recommend visiting Hanlees Kia and asking for Steve!

If I could give a Zero, I would.

If I could give a Zero, I would. They do not follow up - you have to hound them to get the information that they promise they will get right back to you with. They are dishonest and incompetent - Go somewhere else to buy a car

Misleading Website Prices and Greedy Sales Manager

So last night, I found a 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX-Prestige in Shadow Matte Gray exterior color on Hanless Kia (Davis, CA) website. On Hanless Kia's website, the vehicle is listed at an MSRP of $38,595 and a Hanless Price of $38,595. So filled up my info to start the vehicle purchase process. This morning I got a call from a sales rep (who sounds like a very nice guy) to check with me about the car. I told him that I probably can come by today or tomorrow to do all of the paperwork and pick up the car. The sales rep said he needed the verify some details and would call me back in 20 mins. After about 20 mins, he called back says that the Sportage Hybrid arrived last night, and they put numbers incorrectly on their website instead of $38,595; the sales manager wants $48,595 for that exact KIA !!! So far, that's by far the highest Dealer Mark-Up I've seen on a Kia Sportage Hybrid. If we're talking percentage, that's over 25% above MSRP !!! That's just absurd !!!

Great Location, Terrible Service

Took my car in to Hanlees Davis Kia for service on a 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid EX, the same car that had the engine replaced approximately 50,000 miles ago because of an issue. Communication from the Service Advisor at the time was garbage, but the technician himself was actually amazing in communication and getting the vehicle covered. Fast forward to Monday this week. The vehicle had been making sounds from the tensioner pulley and was in need of a replacement. 50,000 miles mind you, all city driving, on a hybrid motor. The pulley seized and it thew a belt. Had it towed and was met by Jeff, who was actually very good to deal with. I was called my Mohamed later that morning to tell me that a bolt had broken off into the motor, and a few other pieces were damaged and the total cost would be approx $3000. I asked if it there was any warranty under the motor replacement and was told "if it was something we did, it would have happened a long time ago". If I was in his shoes, I probably would have said the same thing, that is the easiest scape goat "GFY" answer you could tell a customer. He assured me that he would contact Kia and see what he could do about the warranty if any, but needed authorization to purchase the part. Gave him the go ahead and awaited Kia's answer. I received a call this morning from Mohamed and was told that since "I haven't spent enough money with service through Kia, that the good service warranty couldn't be extended". I can handle the warranty information, but bad customer service in terms of how you speak to a customer and even worse, telling a customer that you need to spend more $$ in order to get a better outcome. I would not recommend any service needs to you Kia from this dealership. Take the extra time and mileage and take your Kia to a service center/dealership that will work with you in terms of your service needs. By no means am I saying the customer is always right, but you lost a customer based on your service and attitude provided to this one.

Easy enough

Not a whole lot of haggling involved once my deal was pulled up. Took a little while to put a deal together but there were able to get me a better rate. Hard working sales people.

Initial service experience

Friendliness of service advisers when I had a puzzle of a problem. Wonderful, knowledgeable shuttle driver and a good conversationalist!

Recall and AC problem

Vicente listen to my concerns and made it right. He checked the history of the repairs to the truck and made sure to get to the core of the problem.
