To protect our customers privacy, we do not discuss any personal finances publicly but want to note that car dealerships are not financial lenders but loan originators. The rates are set by the various lenders that the applications are submitted to. When we were told about your credit union, we submitted your loan application to them and the rate they gave was for going through a 3rd party like a car dealership. The lower rate you got was for members going directly into the credit union and an additional discount for electing to use direct debit for the monthly payments. Both not available through our dealership. In writing, all our customers have the right to obtain their own financing. We do not bind the loan we originate as a condition of purchase.
