Terrible customer service and after sale is completed, nothing but problems with my vehicle, bought it 4 months ago haven’t had it my possession for more than a month, in the shop!!!! No compassion, I was told to be reasonable!!!! Problem after problem, so far no solutions! Dealer has put all responsibility on the guy in the shop, who recently started working there, no communication with dealers at all!!

( also had a wonderful conversation with a sales rep inside while they were working on my jeep. Can’t remember his name but such down to earth nice guy! )

COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT SERVICE DEPT
WARNING - Service is more interested in selling than fixing. I took my 2016 Town and Country here because I had a 'CHECK ENGINE' light. I knew it had something to do with the torque converter because of the code I found with my OBD tool. Service looked it over and performed an oil change (which I requested). When my wife picked up the van they told her that the car needs a new transmission and quoted $7,500 to replace. My wife called me to tell me this, so I called the service department. I ended up speaking to a secretary and I asked why they thought the transmission was bad if I have had no symptoms of transmission issues? Only answer: 'That's what we found, very common issue.' Then I asked what sort of troubleshooting did they do to confirm the transmission was bad when the code refers directly to the torque converter? I heard the technician in the background say to the secretary "Tell him I see this all the time, and the new transmission comes with a new torque converter...I think." Since I could smell the baloney through the phone, I decided to call an old friend that has always been honest with me and whom also owns his own repair shop in Wakefield - Brian's Rite-Way Auto, 466 Main St, Wakefield, RI. Brought to Brian and he had it for a few days. When he was done, he called and told me that he serviced the transmission, fluid, filters, etc, and found the modulating torque converter solenoid was the issue. Total cost of actually diagnosing the problem, and fixing it: $750.00 1/10th of the cost of Ocean. Worst part is these people give honest mechanics a bad name. Not my first rodeo with them either. !!CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!

We bought a 2014 Jeep Cherokee here and yes we test drove
We bought a 2014 Jeep Cherokee here and yes we test drove it around the block and it seemed fine as it ran then. But after purchasing it and picking it up the vehicle died on the highway 3 times as we finally made it home. We talked to the salesman immediately as we got home and was promised it would be taken care of. We some how got vehicle back for them as promised to fix it. After waiting over 2 weeks for them to call me back I called and still wasn't worked on. After another week I called they said they were waiting for parts. Well, after a week from not hearing from them I called and told me it was almost ready and could pick up soon. So I made arrangements to pick it up. Well guess what? On our way home the vehicle died over and over on the highway as we still had the same problem the day we picked it up. We called to let them now the problem still exists and we were pretty upset as one can understand. We paid top dollar for this vehicle and were insured that nothing was wrong with it and it was totally inspected by them.

Our car went in for an oil change, with no issues, and then We were told that they would not release our car without $3000 for brakes, because they stated it was unsafe to drive. We are a car family, and have meticulously maintained many vehicles ourselves over the years, so we knew we were being taken advantage of. Also, for many years, before ‘Ocean’, we had as many as 9 vehicles serviced at Tasca annually, (and 2 purchased jeeps), and they were always fair, honest and friendly. Prior to our most recent visit, we had already replaced brakes on the same car 9 months ago. We fought them on this, they backpedaled, decreased price a little, and still released car after telling us they couldn’t because the car is ‘unsafe’ to drive. We got it out of their hands, thankfully, but we were still charged $1800, for new breaks and pads that we didn’t need. Also, when we went to retrieve the car, the service manager that we dealt with over the phone, ran away to not deal with us, but instead passed it off to a colleague, (whom was professional), but was not in the loop about the entire situation. This review will probably be deleted but what’s going on at Ocean Dodge Jeep is not like it was under Tasca, previous to Ocean. We have happily taken our business, (9 vehicles!!), elsewhere. Please be better, for your community and for yourselves.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Got in touch with the dealership about a certain vehicle they had for sale. They assured me that it was "still on the lot". I drove 45 mins to test drive and purchase on the same day that I got in touch with them. When I got there, I was informed that yes it is still on the lot, but, had been sold days earlier. Tried to talk me into another vehicle I didn't want. Don't waste your time with this dealership.

We traded in our van for another newer model. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating… all of them! They bent over backwards to make everything right. Would definitely do business with Ocean again!

My husband and I wanted to find cars that would be more economical. I noticed a yellow Jeep Renegade in the lot. So seeing yellow is my favorite color I had to have it! Our salesman Christian was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun to work with. I ended up trading my car as did my husband. We are thrilled with our cars and very impressed with the service. They definitely have our loyalty for years to come!

Thanks to Jesse and the Team at Ocean for working with me to purchase my 2020 RAM1500. I live in WA state and did everything by phone, email, and text until we flew out to drive the truck home. They sent a driver to pick us up at the train station and gave us a very warm welcome at the dealership before we left on our cross country trip home. We greatly appreciate all the help we received by the Ocean team. We love our truck!
