Bought a 2009 BMW 328i from Dave on 9/12, wrote a check and drove away with the car. He gave me a 30 day temp tag and temp registration but NO Title. Said they would process everything through DMV for me. Today is 12/9, I now have long expired temp tags on my car and I just left DMV after going there for help. DMV told me that the dealer had not filed any title work with DMV. I called Dave back to see what’s going on, he “checked into it” and I was told that Katie, their title person said it would be a while longer, but that she would call me to “explain”. I told Dave that answer wasn’t acceptable and wanted to talk to Katie and hear her story. Still waiting for that call. Dave says there’s nothing he can do other than issue me more TEMP tags. Apparently 3 months isn’t enough time to come up with a GOOD TITLE and this is deal smells fishy. Next call is to a lawyer. Even if this works out ok , I’ll will be shopping elsewhere next time.
