Had a bad experience at first but after speaking with

Had a bad experience at first but after speaking with Dave the GM he treated the matter very seriously and handled it like a true professional. After going in for my second visit Norman treated me with the utmost respect and is a fantastic service advisor..made sure I was satisfied 100% before I left. Also want to say thank you to Jeff from parts he really has helped me so much with any questions I had and have about the all the parts I order. I really appreciate you guys all going the extra mile to ensure I walked away happy!

Being back Crowley Ford.

Being back Crowley Ford. Never use Gengras for service. They will take your car. Tell you lies and then make excuses on why the car is not ready- delaying another day. Be honest for gods sake! I’ve been dealing with them since they took over Crowley Ford- I thought they can get their act together but now convinced - no more-

Brought 2010 Ford Escape in for service of Power Steering

Brought 2010 Ford Escape in for service of Power Steering Torque sensor (steering wheel starts shaking). Dropped vehicle off on a Sunday, and they didn't even look at it until Thursday with a bunch of excuses on Tuesday and Wednesday. Was quoted $2,100. I said no thank you, and we purchased a newer vehicle. (Still charged about $160 diagnostic fee). I later had another mechanic look at it. Purchased the new sensor on Amazon for about $150, and it took him about 45 minutes to replace it. Called Service Manager (Acting SM - Adam) to request refund of diagnostic fee due to outrageous attempt to overcharge me. Claimed service person is no longer working there. He claims "Official" Parts and "book hours" of labor for this should have been $900 and additional items (not requested) were in the estimate. Labor costs are based on book hours and service book says 3-4 hours to replace the sensor (at their inflated rates). Unfortunately, you won't get a discount if the job can be completed in 45 minutes. Recommendation: Find a good mechanic you trust. I would give Adam a higher rating because he was able to get a refund check sent out for the diagnostic fee. (It should take 4-5 business days to process and then it will be mailed...why not just credit the card that I paid for it on.) (I was going to give it 2 stars, but then I remembered they tried to overcharge me another time in the past. Quoted $900 for wheel and tire on Ford Taurus that had a blowout. Left and went to TownFairTire and had it repaired & replaced for about $225.)

Was told at the time of ordering the price of the car was different than at the signing table and when I asked why the increase I was lied to. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone for as long as I live. I had to have 3 other people from management get involved before they reluctantly agreed to charge me the price that we had originally agreed on.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP, you will......

Agreed to one price and the finance manager took it upon himself to alter the sales price of the car and when I tried to sort out over the phone, he was too busy to respond. I show up and the price is much more than agreed on when ordered. I asked why and he advised me it was due to an option that I repeatedly requested to NOT get and even told him MYSELF earlier that day. Out of spite, he tells me "I'll take the option off, but your still paying the higher amount". I had to start walking out of the dealership for the sales manager to correct the situation. Regardless, it's too late, you can't take back what was already done. Sleezy workers. Scam artists. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP, you will be ripped off.

Poor management No customer relations

Made an appointment for service three weeks in advance for fan belt replacement and 4 wheel alignment. I stated I wanted to wait for my car. Advisor Austin stated your making appointment in advance will be able to wait this type of service will be easy. Arrived 1/2 hour early. Was told by Austin service made 22 appointments for today and we are down 2 technicians. You will have to wait until 5 or 6 o’clock to receive your car. How is that possible since I made my appointment 3 weeks ago. I should be one of the fist cars to be worked on. Austin said I don’t know what to tell you that’s what it is. I left with my car not being serviced. I called to talk to the service manager he refused to talk to me. I called the dealership manager he never returned my call. I was quoted 350 dollars for the repairs which I was willing to pay. Service manager did return my call and stated don’t bother to come back here again we don’t want trouble makers like you questioning our practices.

Made a service appointment three weeks in advance for fan belts and 4 wheel alignment. Told service advisor Austin I would be waiting for my car. Austin said your making an appointment far in advance that would not be a problem it is an easy service and won’t take more than an hour or so. I arrived 1/2 hour early. I asked Austin how long it would take to service my car I will still be waiting for it. Austin stated service booked 22 appointments for today and they are short 2 technicians. I should be at the top of the list since I made my appointment three weeks ago. Austin stated I don’t now what to tell you that’s the way it is. I left with my car without it being serviced. I was quoted 350 dollars which I was willing to pay. I called and wants to talk to the service manager he refused to talk to me on the phone. I called and left a message with the dealership manger he never called me back. The service manager did call me back and stated we don’t want people like you coming here causing trouble and questioning our service appointment practices so don’t come back!!!!

Consumer response

Well I did try to contact you on the day of my appointment. I left you a message with my phone number you in your infinite wisdom never called me. Now you hide behind a general cut and paste response. I say general cut and paste response, people just need to look and read your responses from other reviews. If you were sincere in addressing the situation, you would have returned my call. Maybe you need to be woke and someone ??? Picketing your dealership!!!!!!!!

On 10/21/2021, I made an appoint (3:15) at Gengras Ford...

On 10/21/2021, I made an appoint (3:15) at Gengras Ford in Plainville, CT with full intention on purchasing an F150 Lariat (Stock #FC57378) based on a quote received that day via email (68,850). Upon arrival, I was walked over to the truck and advised that the price would be 2K over sticker. I informed the manager that I received a quote and showed him the email. He asked for the stock number and definitively stated he would not honor it and the price is 2K over sticker (72K). The internet even lists the truck at 70K with no indication of the up charge. I would not have wasted my time by driving to the dealership if had known they were taking advantage of people by changing the price after a quote was received. False advertising and giving written quotes to draw people into the dealership is illegal. Hopefully, you will correct this deceitful marketing practice.

Do not deal with with dealership!!!!Sale started good,...

Do not deal with with dealership!!!! Sale started good, that's the ONLY thing that got one star. Paid for vehicle ahead of time, then had a terrible time getting straight answers. Had to contact managers of every department multiple times just to get so called truthful answers. So many excuses, lies, attitude it was mind blowing and awfully unprofessional. Finally got truck, took it home, safety issues started when I got it home. Starting with unchecked tournea cover which flew off on highway smashing into tiny pieces, shut highway down. Luckily it didn't cause accidents and lawsuits. Later that day truck wouldn't start after 3 starts, 1 start at dealer, 1 start at home, 1 start at grocery store. Then no more starting. Finally bought new starter and installed it myself. So not only lied to, waiting for truck to get fixed so initial safety inspection in order to release vehicle would get done. I had to locate parts they were so called waiting and waiting for. I had found them readily available at local parts store and gave them the info.. I had to do what the service and parts and sales departments should have done just to get the truck I paid for ahead of time. When I finally drove it off the lot I was relieved until I made it home and issues started again. Truck tournea cover, starter, and other issues like ABS, etc...safety was not a concern either obviously?????? I would never think this is the way the Gengras Auto group would allow a dealer of theirs like this to be part of. Point of this review is to make the public aware. DMV should be and will be involved as well as the head of Gengras.

Hello Ron It's your favorite Chevy 2005 Silverado owner here. The one who bought it wholesale. You said there wasn't much you could do for me then. Not sure why it would be different now. Here's hoping things could change....
