Write a reviewI have never had a more disappointing experience.
I have never had a more disappointing and disheartening experience with a car dealership. My Santa Fe Hyundai engine failed on July 16th with my wife and children in the car. I later discovered that Hyundai has significant problems with engines for my particular car's make and model to the extent that they were involved in a class action lawsuit where Hyundai had to issue 3.1 billion dollars to cover 2.1 million vehicles (Google it). I had my car towed to Westlake Hyundai on July 18th. When I arrived at the service department, the two representatives began arguing back and forth between their office walls about who was going to have to oversee the car's repair process. They stated, "No, you have to take this one. I took the last walk-in". (They were unaware that I was in the waiting area and could hear this conversation). The service representative who is overseeing the repair stated that before authorizing the engine repair the dealership would have to confirm that I was not liable and that the car falls under warranty. This is very reasonable and I totally understand why they would have to verify this (i.e. - I could have potentially missed an oil change, etc.). With that said, the car does fall under the 150,000 mile warranty, I take good care of the vehicle with having the oil changed every 4,000 miles, and the vehicle has never been in a car accident. They stated they would have the car checked and confirm the warranty by July 21st. At that point, they would then begin repair on the engine. July 21st arrived and I did not receive a call from the dealership. I called them myself that afternoon and they said they were unable to take my call but would return my call by the end of the day. I called them back again later that evening because they had not returned my call and I was able to get ahold of the service representative. The individual stated that they had not had a chance to look at my car...It had been sitting on their lot for four days and they hadn't even touched it. Even worse, they stated that they wouldn't be able to look at it until July 24th. Throughout the phone call, the individual was very dismissive and did not provide any consideration for the inconvenience this caused their customer and their customer's family. July 24th arrives, eight days after I dropped the vehicle off for them to do a simple diagnostic test, and I still have not received a call from the dealership. I had been without a car for eight days, with no offer of a rental car or loaner vehicle. After having to contact the corporate office, I finally received a call from the dealership on July 27th. After 11 days of my car sitting on the lot, this was clearly the first time they've looked at it. My hope was that the phone call was to tell me they've looked at the vehicle, it's under warranty, they can now provide me with a new engine, and provide a rental car while the vehicle is being repaired. Unbelievably, the phone call was actually to tell me that they lost my car key and therefore were unable to confirm the mileage on the vehicle! I felt like I was being pranked, but unfortunately, this was actually what happened. Even worse, the service representative's first inclination was to blame the tow truck driver. They stated, "maybe the tow truck driver took it with him". I was in shock. (I 100% remember their employee taking the key from the car which I confirmed with the tow truck driver he left in the car). I then asked the service representative, "what are the next steps if you can't find the key"? They were unable to answer and needed to check with their management. As of this writing, I still have not heard a response. I've been without a car for twelve days. The car has been sitting on the dealership lot for 12 days, without any repairs being done nor any offer of a rental or loaner vehicle. Do not buy a car from this dealership. Do not go here. Ever.

Price Gougers in this current market
Cars are marked up beyond belief, go to any dealer that will honor MSRP. The dealers that are marking cars over 10k in this market are showing their true colors and losing customers for good once this bubble pops.

They just want your money (the more the better).
I started a deal on a 2022 Palisade online via the Westlake Hyundai website. They had it listed for 44240. After completing my credit app and trade value. I received a call about coming in to have my trade fully appraised. They also informed me of a 5k mark up over MSRP. I said thank you very much for the heads up but I think we will keep looking. After the call I received another call from the sales Manager. She mentioned they would be willing to work with me on the deal if I were to come in to the dealer. It was a little over an hour drive so I asked if they would be willing to adjust the pricing and she said they will work with me. The next morning my wife and I started our trip down to the deal. About half way down I received a call from the sales team just confirming we were still coming. I said we were and he mentioned there was another appointment right when they opened. I assumed I was first in line still because I had everything completed the night before. Needless to say once we arrive they went through the motions of valuing my trade, they offered me 3k less then their website had rated me the night before. They didn't do anything on the mark up and basically told me that because the other person was going to pay the mark up with a service contract that they were not going to work with me on pricing. In short, their pricing on their website is completely deceptive. They won't honor their word and work with you. They go for who ever they can get the most money out of and have no respect for your time. The fact they called me back the night before and convinced me to come in to see if we could make a deal but didn't honor that is a testament to their character. STAY AWAY, there are plenty of other dealers who will honor MSRP even in our current market.

The best service experience I ever had.
They were honest, above 100 honesty. I went to Hyundai of Camarillo or Oxnard a year before to service my 2013 Sonata Hybrid and they tried to scr... me with the warranty. When I heard from Westlake people how much coverage I HAVE FOR THE NEXT 70k miles or 3 more years they make my day. Never going back or recommend Hyundai of Oxnard/Camarillo AGAIN!

New owner ship changed and service down the tubes
Do not go here! New ownership has changed and I can't believe how horrible this place has become. I will never take my car here again they lie are unfriendly untrustworthy and personally I think the service dept sucks. I think they just hired some bum off the street and said ok your service and slapped a name tag on. Care ful bringing your car in I pay 160 for nothing can only imagine how much it would cost to actually have some kind of work done on my car. The sales dept is just as bad i felt be uncomfortable andnthey guy was totally trying to rip me off. Save your self alot of headache and stay away

HIGHLY recommend
I’ve just gotten my first car and am SO glad that I came to Westlake Hyundai. My parents have been in the car business for many years, so I have of course heard just about every horror story there is about buying a car. My experience was amazing! Everyone is beyond welcoming and helpful. Eric and Carinsa made the process incredibly quick, smooth, and painless; and James was so kind as to walk me through the features of my vehicle. We practically signed and were on our way! Everyone here at Westlake Hyundai have definitely made me comfortable and excited as a new driver. I will always be a customer, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I love my new Elantra <3
