Avoid at all costs
I was searching for a Chevy Express work van online in October of 2022. I found a used 2021 Chevrolet Express online that was about ten hours away from me at Westgate Chevrolet of Burgaw. I contacted them by phone and spoke with Garret McLeod, the "business manager". He promised that this van was in "excellent" condition and sent me an 83 second video walk around of the van. They made it very easy to work with them, and I happily proceeded with the purchase and used their delivery service to bring the van up to PA. Come to find out after I purchased the van and it was delivered, it was nowhere near "excellent" condition. I found that it had several dents, dried concrete, and dried concrete glue on the paint and that it also had several scratches. The inside of the van had not been cleaned at all, there were several electrical/construction related items all over the back of the van. I am still finding things to this day. I immediately said something to the delivery driver, who told me to contact my salesperson, which I did. I reviewed the video walk around that I had been sent before I purchased the van, and it became quite clear that Garret had deliberately excluded the areas with damage from the video. Prior to him sending that video I had specifically asked him to zoom in on any areas that would need repair. I'm well aware that a used vehicle will have a couple scratches here and there, but this was unacceptable. I contacted the manager of the dealership, Stephen. He recommended that I go get an estimate to repair the damages, which I did. The estimate was $2,974.60. That number didn't include all of the damages, only the major ones. I promptly sent to invoice over to Stephen who offered me $500 for repairs. (That was the end of November 2022, I still have not received that $500 by the way) I told Stephen that this was unacceptable considering I had been lied to. I haven't heard a word from him since. Another person from their office had also reached out to me to correct some paperwork for the DMV. She sent me up a form to sign. This form was not notarized while in my possession, so someone at this dealership also committed a felony offense by notarizing my signature without witnessing my signature. I do have proof of this as well. Stay away from this sketchy dealership and "management" If you're on the fence about purchasing a vehicle from them, feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to go further in detail about this.

Worth the drive! great experience
After shopping around for weeks on Cars.com for a new truck, I found one in my price range at Westgate. The communication between myself and the online rep Morgan was consistent and helpful. Even though the dealership was about an hour and a half away, I felt it was worth the drive up from Myrtle Beach to take a test drive. The deal itself was relatively painless and went above my expectations on price. All in all, I can highly recommend Westgate. Most of the dealers I dealt with local in my area couldn’t come close to what I was looking for. Westgate, however, made it worth my time to come up and get me the price I needed on a new Silverado. Many thanks to Morgan, Keenan, Dave, and others there that helped make it happen.
