Mary Dominguez

I first went online to confirm availability of a 2009 Honda Civic SI, the vehicle is available I also received an email from Mary confirming the vehicle was available with an attachment of the carfax. Before driving an hour out of my way I called to advise Mary as she requested in the email sent by her to make sure the vehicle is available, Mary advises me the vehicle is available but would not be at the dealership until Saturday (it is Thursday) because someone who was “thinking” of purchasing the SI had the vehicle at a shop and if they decide not to purchase it she had someone else scheduled for Friday to do the same, she also informed me both people had NO MONEY DOWNon the vehicle . My husband called hoping to get someone else, but did not Mary answered the phone he asked about the same vehicle, mind you he did not mentioned his wife called earlier. He asked about the 09 Honda Civic posted for sale on the website advised her he had cash and is willing to go pick it up ASAP! Mary Dominguez was extremely unprofessional she sucked her teeth at my husband and told him the opposite what she told me she told him the car IS at the dealership but it is currently getting detailed so someone could take it for a test drive she did not offer to make an appointment or tell him to come see it. This vehicle has been at the dealership all day and Mary Dominguez refused to make a sale! It seemed as if she was holding the vehicle for someone else (with NO money down) again extremely unprofessional! I would tell everyone not to bother going to this dealership unless you are friends with Mary Dominguez! Poor POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Mr. John

So I try to purchase a used 2007 Mercedes. Then the price goes up $650 from listed price, (dealer fee). Then I say I would like financing. So Mary says the price just went up another $1000 to put in a finance application. Are you kidding me? I have bought many cars in my 57 years and never have been so disappointed in the price increase. Twice within minutes. I took my business elsewhere. False advertising. Sorry Mary, you lost this customer. Owner needs to know of this shady practice. Look at BBB, they are not accredited.

"A" is for "Alpha !!

I apologize in advance, as I tend to write long reviews. My standard disclaimer is I write a review based on my own subjective experiences in dealing with a business, restaurant, etc. and I never request, nor would I accept, something of value in return for writing a review, much less a positive one. I am a retired doctor and place a premium on my time. With that in mind, I had the chance to see and buy a used car from Alpha Auto Trader in Tampa, Florida, on March 13, 2019. My history has been one in which I really get into something long after it was trendy. I have been looking for a 2007-09 Cadillac SRX. It basically has a Cadillac front end and a station wagon back end. This model car is hard to find, and, due to the harshness of our Wisconsin climate, some may have some rust issues due to our winters. And, if one of these models can be found that is in good shape, they tend to sell in a matter of 3 days or less. So, I thought about buying a car in a southern state, as generally rust would be no issue. Using Cars.com; Carfax.com; Car Gurus.com; CarSoup.com, etc., I located a 2008 SRX on Alpha Auto Trader's site. The car was in a white pearl exterior and gray interior, with 95,000 miles on it. The pictures looked very good. I made an initial inquiry and heard back from Leo Cruz almost immediately. I e-mailed to make a reservation to see the car and test drive it and Ziya Tuncer replied to me. To insure the car would be there for me to see when I came to Tampa, I put down a $500 refundable deposit. Alpha Auto Trader is located in the 131 block of N. Florida Avenue, which seems to be where a number of car dealers are located. Some are large dealerships and others, like Alpha, have smaller "corner lots" . Alpha had a surprising array of cars, all being in good to very good shape, a number of Mercedes and Lexus. In seeing the SRX up close, the car wasn't "perfect", as what 11 year old car is ? Due to the Florida sun/heat, the defroster grill panel on the dashboard had cracked. There were 3-4 spots that will need some paint touch-up. The interior was good, with a minor amount of wear starting to show on the driver's seat, and I could get that reupholstered if need be. This model did not have a third row of seats, which ordinarily would have been a deal killer for me. The third row of seats wouldn't really work for an average size person. The car rode well on a test drive, and I had Ziya drive us so I could feel the ride and listen to the engine during the drive. The car was strong. My wife drove back to the dealership and liked the car. When we got back to the dealership, I asked Ziya to start the paperwork, as I intended to buy the car. Everything seems to be online these days, including car purchase contracts and registering the vehicle. The paperwork was done in under an hour, and a temporary 30-day Florida license plate was printed up on waterproof paper so we could drive legally in Florida and get the car home to Wisconsin. Ziya was great to work with and very atypical of a car salesperson. He was informative and low pressure. Ordinarily, I'd never consider buying a car over the internet. I am "old school" and need to see what I am buying and not driving or flying over 1,500 miles in order to accomplish that. But, in the case of Alpha Auto Trader, I took the gamble and it paid off. If you happen to be looking for a hard-to-find model, check them out. You might find exactly what you're looking for. (Above section was written on or about March 14, 2019) UPDATE (March 29, 2019): Since purchasing the SRX at Alpha Auto Traders, I put 2,200 miles on it in Florida and to Wisconsin. I needed to get an AC/heat actuator replaced because I got heat on one side of car and A/C on the other. Minor fix. Found a defroster grill panel on e-Bay and will get that installed. Had a Cadillac dealer complete 100,000 mile maintenance. Car drives like a dream now. A great find. Thanks, Alpha !!

Good car at a good price

Good car at a good price. Super happy with my BMW 328. Would recommend to anyone looking for a used car in the area. They were willing to work with me on the price too.

But at your own risk!

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! If I could rate zero stars I would! When your ready for a test drive and purchase communication is quick but make sure you get a thorough and reliable inspection. I felt like the deal was too good to be true but nevertheless stepped out on faith since this was a birthday present for my mom. Obviously there were a few quirks with the vehicle being over 12 years old which is understandable but I was not expecting to replace a radiator for $1200 after taking ownership of the car for less than 10 days and less than 200 miles had been put on the car during that time frame. I figured I would contact the dealership and let them know only to get unreturned calls. At this point I have accepted my purchase and thank God the car is back running but I will definitely not be back to Alpha Auto Trader!

Alpha Auto Sales, LLC Tampa, FL

This operation is a joke. After weeks of contact with salesman and owner, assuring us that all that we were looking for in the purchase of a vehicle was met, we purchased airline tickets and flew down to make the purchase. One big concern was that the vehicle had heated seats, which they advertised that it did in ad, and assured us over phone that it did, since it was very important, we asked several times. Each time they said yes, when we got there- no heated seats. They also put in ad that they just put new brakes on it, when we got it home and had inspected, brakes were shot. (when we called, they had no explanation, just sent some brake pads in the mail a month later) What about labor, Ziya (owner)? When they gave us key fob, it was broken. Ziya said he just ordered a new one and Tom (salesman) put in writing that we would get a new one. When I asked if it would be programmed, (very expensive), he assured me they do it by vin number and they would have it programmed and send right away. We received a $12 plastic casing 2 1/2 months later. It?s going to cost me a lot to get this fob working. Let me add that half way through our 900 mile drive home with truck, key stopped working completely, and we had to call roadside service. They also assured us that the dash wasn?t cracked, (we asked repeatedly over phone just to be sure, because this type of vehicle has had a history of cracked dashboards), we get there and dash was, in fact, cracked. They knew when we got there that they had us by the xxxxx, since we had already invested a thousand dollars in flight and hotel, and knew we had to purchase vehicle to drive home, or we lose a lot of money. When we asked for some kind of price adjustment for selling us a truck with heated seats over phone, and it didn?t really have this feature, amongst many other undisclosed issues with vehicle, Ziya refused. My husband even had to crawl under truck in Alpha dealership parking lot and fix parts that were hanging out of bottom of truck because he had no one there to fix brackets hanging off under truck. Ziya didn?t want to get dirty, so in order for us to leave dealership with truck, he gave my husband a tool and said he can try to fix it himself. This dealership is not credible and if we don?t receive some kind of compensation for all of the false advertising and troubles, we will take further action to let future customers know how they do business. Oh let me also add that they will make you sign papers at closing, saying that you promise not to sue them for anything. If we don?t get satisfied, we have different courses of action that will be taken to expose his business practices. We have copies of all ads. Bad business ethics Ziya. I hope no one else trusts you like we did and expenses travel from far for one of your vehicles. We are fixing all of these issues ourselves, and will soon have the nice vehicle that we flew down to Florida to purchase, no thanks to Alpha Auto Trader, LLC.
