Write a reviewI would rate in Nelson Mazda very very highly!
Excellent service department! Was greeted by a friendly intake person, very courteous. Was fully informed during the inspection and service process. Appointment took the exact amount of time they told me, and they listened to me and followed a special request on service that I had. Overall, I would rate in Nelson Mazda very very highly!

Not terrible, not great
Called ahead the day before about a specific vehicle & sent the vin and mileage on my trade in. Salesman was great. Arrived next day & first thing they go over is how this is not the same as other dealers, we don’t push you, we don’t make commission and it won’t take hours. Took a 15 minute test drive, said I’ll take it. Immediately gave them (from my bank) my loan payoff on the trade in, the funding sheet for my already signed loan with an outside bank and my insurance info. They took pics of my trade in & got the vin. All buyers sit at cafe style tables in the lobby so my social and financial info were repeated out loud on speaker while they were on the phone with my bank verifying info. We didn’t check their financing or purchase any add ons. They took the vin on the trade in down wrong so it didn’t match our payoff. We still sat there for 3 hrs & 20min. Left with a not well detailed vehicle on E. Not a terrible experience, not a great one.

Nelson's in Norman OK
Great experience with this dealer. Will go back. No pressure, very helpful, very obliging. Our sales person's name was Strother. He could not have been better. We explained our situation, what we were interested in and how we would like to go about the process. He found the car we were after, was great at explaining it's features and allowed us to feel empowered and valued throughout the process.

Terrible service- run!
I want to save everyone some pain and frustration. Do NOT go to Nelson Mazda in Norman. Let me give you a rundown of our experience with them. Keep in mind we only went there to trade in my last Mazda from when it was Reynolds Mazda- they were amazing! Great service and great people! Nelson Mazda is a total nightmare! Avoid them like the disgusting plague they are! We went to test drive a few cars and the hatchback I wanted to drive was dead. Battery needed a charge because it had been sitting too long on the lot. Should've been my first clue to shop elsewhere. So I drove the same car in a sedan so they could charge the battery and we could come back the next day. We find out the salesman Corey knows Adam's friends Martin Wiley (competing car salesman) and Lane Davenport (current co-worker that just had a baby). He mentions if we buy from him he'll throw Lane a referral bonus. (This is important later)We come back to test drive, tell them we want tag/title/tax included and start the finance paperwork. (We were pre-approved with Tinker)They want to detail the car and fix a couple paint chips (probably from hail) so we agreed to come back a couple days later. We show up and I tell you I could have fixed that paint better myself with nail polish. It was terrible. So they say they'll take it to the paint shop and apologize for not checking it before we drove all the way there. At this point we've driven to Norman half a dozen times from OKC and are getting frustrated. Salesman Corey apologizes and we meet his boss Will. They assure us they'll get it fixed ASAP. Mmmmk. On the second day my car is in the paint shop they call and say it's going to be another day. I'm pissed. So they ask what can they do? I've always wanted tinted windows. They can do that. Awesome. I'll drive the loaner a little longer. Whatever. Just fix my xxxx so I can be done with you people. And free tinted windows? Helps ease my frustrations some. They even offer to deliver the car when ready to save us another trip to Norman. We say great! I had reminded Corey to get my tag off the 2012 Mazda due to the law change in July where it moves to the new vehicle. He delivers the car and guess what he forgets? The tag. And when I asked him about the tag he said it will get mailed to you. I said no. It won't. Remember? He goes, oh that's right! So I ask how soon can you deliver that to me? He says in a couple days. Fine. He says he'll drop it in the mailbox. 2 days later I texted Corey to check in and he tells me his schedule and why he can't bring it yet. And that he promises to bring it tomorrow. Thank goodness he did. 4 days later he texts "I forgot to ask did you get your tag from the mailbox!" I said yes. (Terrible follow up)Then we finally get the title work in the mail, go to update the tag and find out the dealership didn't include a check for the Tag! And it's $970! Adam calls, talks to a nice woman in accounting and she says we'll overnight that to you so sorry! Then Adam gets a callback from the same chick saying they won't sign the check. Apparently they made a clerical error and didn't include TTL as we had requested so they said we could refinance! Umm no, your mistake. Write me a check. So they finally did after a long conversation with the GM Nathan and we expected that to be overnighted to us based on the earlier conversation. The next day a check never came so I called GM Nate to inquire and he casually states he put it in the snail mail. Why he thought that was a good idea is beyond me. I told him we expected that to be overnighted so he tells me he's about to have family dinner and will call me back. K. Nate actually comes through and has a check delivered that night by one of his drivers. (You'd think they could have done this with my tag but whatever) We deposit the check and are done at the tag agency. Whew! But- don't get too excited! They aren't done being horrible at their jobs yet! Now we find out that Lane Davenport isn't getting any respons

Schedule 1 Pre-Paid Maintenance
My name is Robert Pearce (405-736-5226) and I had my car serviced on Saturday the 9th of June at Nelson Mazda in Norman Oklahoma. I was informed at that time that my pre-paid maintenance service would end at the 25,000 mile mark. This does not correlate to what I thought I purchased with the car when you were Reynolds Mazda (Schedule 1 Maintenance Plan). During the financing portion of my car the financing representative sold me this plan which supposedly goes out to 60K miles. I agreed to have this included in my purchase contract and now it appears that Mazda is reneging on this purchase. If this is so then we need to adjust the financing to correctly reflect that this add on is no longer in effect. I am very disappointed. This is my third Mazda and as a loyal customer for 25 years I feel very let down by this development. Respectfully, Robert Pearce (Address: 13505 Steeple Chase Circle, OKC 73131).

Nelson Mazda
The Nelson Mazda dealer is very much on top of their game. Although I did not end up buying a car from this dealer, they frequently contacted me to give me the latest information on what cars had come in in my price range. I will definitely look for my Nextel car here!

Worth the drive
We were looking for a family vehicle to use for vacations and for hauling. We looked around Wichita and the prices were too high and the customer service was horrible. I looked online and came across a CX-9 at Nelson Mazda in Norman. I did the online inquire and from that point new that this experience was going to be different, and it was. We drove down to look at the CX-9 and Alina took great care of us. She made the whole experience relaxing and with the non commission approach, no pressure. She gave us a tour of the facilities and invited us on the test drive to different areas around to fully test the car out, which in Wichita is not really heard of. Overall it was worth every bit, we bought the CX-9 and even throughout the buying portion was smooth and enjoyable. I would saw from now on, car buying just might be made out of town down at Nelson Mazda. I've already recommended them to a friend, and sure will continue to.

Out-of-state buying experience with Nelson Mazda
I found Nelson Mazda shopping online. I was looking to buy a vehicle for my wife and had expanded our search from our home state. They had just the vehicle that we were looking for and I began a conversation via text with a friendly support person named Victoria who was extremely helpful. Being from out of state, I wanted some local eyes on the vehicle, so one of the sales staff, Alina, was nice enough to show a local friend of mine around. She followed up with me after the showing and quickly responded with questions I had about the vehicle via text, email and phone calls over the next few days. After we decided to purchase the minivan, the team at Nelson installed the requested trailer hitch and arranged shipping for us. They kept us informed throughout the process as to what to expect. The vehicle arrived and although there were some minor issues, the sales manager, Nathan Parker personally called and went above and beyond going out of his way to ask, 'What can we do to make your experience with Nelson Mazda everything you'd expected it would be." He promptly took care us us and the issue was quickly resolved. We are extremely happy with our vehicle and appreciate all Nelson Mazda did to make our purchase of a vehicle- sight unseen- a positive one!
