Fred Beans KIA of Mechanicsburg has never done us wrong. I just recently bought my THIRD vehicle with them (over a period of about 10 years). They always have a great selection, usually have some of the best pricing and the staff is always SUPER friendly (both Sales AND Service) and great with communication! I would absolutely recommend The Bean for your next vehicle purchase!

Fred Beans Kia is GREAT.
Fred Beans Kia is the finest dealership I've ever dealt with. (and I've had GOOD ones!) They are kind, professional, and never make me feel "less than" because I know nothing about cars. (I'm a hospice RN) They are patient, answer my questions and honor my desire to LEARN about my car.

Bravo to Fred Beans Kia and salesman Ray Velez
It's been a few months since we purchased our 2023 Kia Telluride, but I wanted to write and give a commendation to Fred Beans Kia and specifically our salesperson, Ray Velez. With a growing family, we knew we needed to upgrade from sedan life. We did our research and knew the Telluride was the best bet, short term and long term, so in that regard, Ray didn't need to sell us on the vehicle. However, it was reassuring that he knew his way around the Telluride, was friendly and patient and displayed a sense of humor. Because of our schedule conflicts and a desire to move relatively quickly through the process, I really appreciated Ray coming in on a day off to walk us through the sale. While I realize it's a "sale," it still showed a devotion to us as customers, and it made our buying process much less stressful. Ray also worked well with us to make sure we paid for what we wanted, didn't pay for what we didn't, and set us up with the financial folks to officially get us into the Kia family. Ray Velez and Fred Beans Kia did right by us through the sales process, and we really enjoy our new Telluride and look forward to keeping it a long time.

Horrible Service
21 Kia Seltos 33k miles covers under warranty. Clutch actuator assembly known problem. Car towed to Fred Beans. Service department exceptionally rude. They said “I aint gonna get a loaner”. I can rent a car they won’t pay or “get your car out of here”

Pretty good buying experience 2020 Kia Sorento
We needed to replace a mid size SUV after the sudden failure of our 2011 GMC Acadia. We knew what we were looking for. Our sales person, Ray Schuenemann, was great. We had a ton of questions, and if he did not know the answer, he got the answer. He took the time with us...no rush and no pressure. He has been in the business for many years, and in fact, we had met him about 10 yrs ago at another dealership (did not buy then, but he was likewise good to deal with at that time.) He has owned and operated dealerships over his career. He is not a high pressure guy like we have run into at other dealerships. If you go to this Kia dealership in Mechanicsburg, ask for Ray Schuememann. We purchased a 2020 Kia Sorento...just what we were looking for and what we needed. Ray is a nice man with a wealth of knowledge.

Reason to buy, Reason I Bought
Brenda (service manager) contacted me and was completely kind and helpful and immediately understood my frustrations. Not only is the sunroof getting corrected without me paying for it, but unexpectedly they are stepping up and covering the recommended services the prior owner did not take care of. I will be completely up to date This is why I bought from Fred Beans in the first place, My wife’s Kia always had excellent service. My faith is restored in this dealership and I’m so thankful for Brenda’s understanding. She immediately contacted me to straighten things out for me.

Do not use Fred Bean’s KIA of Mechanicsburg. Dealership’s Service Center wanted to charge me $159 (base service rate just to look) to verify that my Spectra’s new left rear tail lights’ wiring harness, which their Parts Department sold me, was the correct harness for the Spectra. Their Parts Department ordered the wiring harness based upon the Spectra’s VIN, but it did not fit the vehicle; a fact verified by three people and photographs. Still, the dealership wanted to charge me $159, for a 5-7 minute job, to make sure their part, ordered by their Parts Department, fit the Spectra. I do not recommend this dealership. I would give it zero stars, but I can not.

Do not use Fred Bean’s KIA of Mechanicsburg. Total nightmare
I purchased a 2019 Nissan Leaf EV w $5k down from Fred Beans on 3/31/2022. Salesman was totally uninformed. Within 3 days I knew this car probably wasn’t going to work for me but I was advised to take it to York Nissan to make sure the battery was ok. Waiting for this appointment put me outside their return window. I was told if I returned the car on 4/9, I would lose $2500 to cover the taxes they already paid on the Leaf. Then when I exchanged for a new Kia on the lot, they didn’t APPLY ANY DOWNPAYMENT and said I had to purchase an $1895 add on package. So I was overcharged for a car that I didn’t really want AND lost $5000 in the process.
