Pay attention to the 1 star reviews.

Pay attention to the 1 star reviews. The 5 star reviews are generous in their non-specific praise and are all posted within days of each other - most likely fake. I contacted this dealer about buying a car and was texted the figures for an out the door price. When I spoke to them the next day the price had increased a thousand dollars. I was told by the salesperson I was working with the they made a mistake when posting the price. This seemed unlikely as the price the dealers own website, as well as cars, autotrader, car gurus, etc. all showed the original price I was quoted. When I mentioned that this seemed like the bait and switch other reviewers had spoke of, the manager Jason said that they had actually done a bunch of work to the car - on Friday evening - which was the cause for the price increase. But the price on their website and all others hadn't changed, confusingly. Also, this contradicted the original salespersons explanation. Run, don't walk, away from this dealership.

⭐ 1-Star Review I regret my experience with Chicago Auto Place and want to warn others about what I believe are deceptive practices. I entered into a deal for a Tesla Model X that ultimately had to be rescinded. Even after the deal was canceled: 1. Loan Never Properly Unwound – Wells Fargo Auto still shows the loan as active, even though I no longer have the vehicle. Wells Fargo has confirmed that the required paperwork must come directly from the dealership, yet Chicago Auto Place has failed to do this. 2. Trade-In Vehicle Return – The dealership did initiate the return of my vehicle, but provided no clear timeline and no written confirmation. When the vehicle was delivered back, the salesman admitted that while “prepping” it and installing mats, they damaged the door sensor. To me, this raises serious questions about how my car was handled while in their possession. 3. Earnest Money Still Withheld – Despite the deal being rescinded, my earnest money has not been refunded. This money was due back to me immediately, yet the dealership continues to delay. The result is weeks of stress, an open auto loan on my credit file that should never have remained active, and out-of-pocket money I still haven’t recovered. I strongly caution anyone considering doing business here: be very careful, ask for everything in writing, and understand that my experience suggests they do not handle transactions in good faith.

No nonsense dealership.

No nonsense dealership. I seldom buy from dealers for obvious reasons. I found the car listed on the internet and was in Chicago from Atlanta on business. I called to set an appointment while on the way to the airport advising I wouldn’t have much time. They had the car ready and out front for review and test drive. We worked out a verbal agreement within 15 minutes and made my flight home. Robert W. Followed through on our agreement for price and all related points of the deal with great communication and simple transaction and paperwork. Great experience, from the first contact to delivery and follow up to ensure delivery was as expected. It’s rare to find people who don’t try to jerk you around and pass you around to the 10 people at the dealership to burn your time and annoy you. These guys get it and don’t play around. I highly recommend Robert W and this dealership.

I can’t speak highly enough about Robert and the experience I had at Chicago Auto Place. Robert was amazing! He was supportive, knowledgeable and and personable. He and the entire crew were not pushy at all and were very reasonable. The entire process was efficient and you can tell customer service is the priority!

I drove 90 miles to test drive a car and they didn’t even

I drove 90 miles to test drive a car and they didn’t even check the car over. It had no coolant and overheating. No apology or alternative arrangement.
