Service not up to brand standard

Dear AllStar Volvo Service Team, As a military veteran and a dedicated Volvo owner for many years, I've come to expect a certain caliber of service from the Volvo brand. Having owned four Volvos, my experiences, especially in the DFW area, have always been of the highest standard. Regrettably, my recent interactions with your Baton Rouge location have been deeply unsettling. My initial visit for a sunroof warranty repair was fraught with challenges. After an 8-hour wait, my sunroof issue remained unresolved, and a simple request for an oil change was overlooked. It was only upon my insistence that these matters were hastily addressed. Such a prolonged wait, only to have basic services neglected, is far from the standard I associate with Volvo. The concerns didn't end there. On my subsequent visit on August 11th for an air conditioning issue, my car was not returned until the 23rd. Alarmingly, I discovered the activation of the parking assist and auto start service lights upon collection —issues that were definitively absent when I initially handed over my vehicle. The emergence of these issues, coupled with a glaring lack of communication or any provided repair estimate, suggests not only a rushed job but also the possibility of these problems being introduced during the dealership's handling of my vehicle. In further discussions, the technician cited workload pressures as a potential reason for these oversights and made an unwarranted assumption about my repair preferences. Such assumptions and lack of thoroughness are not reflective of the professionalism I expect. To add insult to injury, my car was returned in a dirtier state than when I left it. While I can understand certain constraints due to staffing, returning a customer's vehicle in a less clean state is simply inexcusable and further underscores a lack of attention to detail. AllStar Volvo Service, it's imperative to understand that the essence of customer service goes beyond mere repairs. It's about respect, communication, and a commitment to excellence. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced. Despite our efforts to provide efficient services, it seems that we fell short during your visit. Regarding the A/C repair, we assure you that the delay was a result of awaiting approval from the warranty company and the delivery of the necessary part. The Park Sensor alert was active when your vehicle was initially brought in and the Start Stop alert was not present post-repairs. Our Service Manager proposed a solution where the labor costs would be covered if you could cover the costs of the software and support battery. As per our last conversation, this was agreed upon. Great experience being a first-time Volvo buyer!

Tiffany and Dallas were great to work with! I wasn’t sure what I wanted to but, but Tiffany sold me on Volvo in no time. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. She and Dallas worked with us and got me exactly what I was looking for in my price range. Financing was also easy. I love my new Volvo and am very satisfied with the service I was provided at All Star Volvo!

Not trustworthy

Agreed upon written purchase price with a downpayment was given to the sales person for a car to be built. When the car arrived, the dealership backed out on the signed agreement and said we had to buy it for sticker price. The definition of a dealership being not trustworthy.

I have driven a Volvo since 1987. My service has always been at a Volvo shop. All Star Volvo is excellent. They have qualified service people. They send reminders for your appointment. Service is completed in a timely manner.
