I want to start by saying that I do not normally leave
I want to start by saying that I do not normally leave reviews or post much of anything online, but I feel others need to know or be aware of this. I have used Lubbers service center (both Chevy and Ford) for the last 5-6 years due to being referred to them by a trusted friend. For the most part all of my visits are great until recently, I feel as if something has changed for the worst. The last few visits to the Chevy service center have not been the same. I used to be taken care of each visit by Trey I believe his name was. Taller gentleman maybe mid 30's and I feel he went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. All of my issues/concerns were always addressed, and everything was explained very well to me as far as what was done to my vehicle. I am not very mechanically savvy so each time a repair was done other than an oil change I feel he always went the extra mile to go over everything and even show me under the hood and around the vehicle what was done. A couple years ago I noticed that the gentleman I usually dealt with was no longer there, no big deal I wanted to keep coming to where my vehicle service history was. So, the first visit where I was greeted by the gentleman with the beard who is listed on this website as Darren was ok, I feel as if I was rushed even though I always call in to schedule an appointment. I was given service recommendations on my vehicle and when looking back at invoices I had already completed these maintenance items, so I feel as if he was trying to upsell me on things that were literally just completed on my vehicle. The next visit did require a suspension repair that I knew was needing done anyways, I scheduled appointment out further than I wanted because I did need a loaner vehicle. Usually when Trey would give me a loaner, he pulled the vehicle up, ensured it had fuel and was decently clean and this was not the case. Darren handed me the keys said it was up front, I had to transfer a few things, and the vehicle was parked a ways out, no big deal there but vehicle was somewhat dirty and only had a quarter tank. Things happen and they did look busy so I didn't want to be a bother. Where I began to get frustrated is after approving the work and coming to get my vehicle I asked a couple questions (I am ignorant on vehicles by the way) and I feel as if Darren seemed almost frustrated and trying to rush me out of there. The total was also a little over what I was told on the phone. Fastforward a few months and brought another vehicle in for oil change and minor repairs and was dealing with Darren again. Everything seemed to go well this visit until I come and picked the vehicle up. I try to keep somewhat of a clean and neat vehicle. First of all, again when I tried to ask questions Darren seemed like it was a big inconvenience, and I could tell he was becoming frustrated so i just quit asking and hoped for the best. When I got in my vehicle there was grease stains on the floor and steering wheel area and the light rattle/clunk noise was still present and I had not even left the parking lot. At this point I was a little upset, so I parked for 10 minutes to cool down. When I went back into the service center apparently Darren had left for the evening (It was around 4pm) and thankfully a gentleman took my keys cleaned my vehicle and when looking around the vehicle found the plastic lining around the wheel well area was not re secured properly and hanging down, this was not loose when I brought the vehicle in mind you. I thought maybe I had just had a few strokes of off/bad visits and was planning on going back until I have heard from my brother and a few friends have had several similar experiences with the Chevy Service. Feels like Darren is rushing them out, after oil changes there was oil messes all over under the vehicle and would end up on garage floor, found that the repairs stated on receipts seemed to be rushed (bolts left loose, concerns not fully addressed etc.)

We are sorry to learn of your recent experience. We were also surprised to hear it, since Darren is a tenured and trusted lead advisor and recipient of the General Motors Mark of Excellence award for customer satisfaction. If we were unexpectedly short-staffed and left you with a less-than-stellar experience, we sincerely apologize. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns, as we don’t know how to contact you.
Ron is one of the best out there!
Ron is one of the best out there! This is the second time Ron has helped me find a great vehicle and I would return again..and have Ron help me. He is no stress, super patient and showed me everything available in my price range. Lubbers honestly cares about people first and that is what makes them the best!!!!

I would never recommend anyone to buy a car from Lubbers
I would never recommend anyone to buy a car from Lubbers or Curtis. I bought a used truck from here and about 2k miles later they say it needs a new transmission. I call Curtis about this and the best he has is a should’ve bought the extended warranty and he’s sorry. Clearly don’t know how a sorry would fix a transmission. I’d never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from him or lubbers

We will continue to reach out to you as updates become available.
Thank you for your patience while we contacted the manufacturer for additional aid. Ford will not cover the repair as it was no longer under warranty, but for further details on their decision we recommend contacting them directly at (800) 392-3673. Concerning your review, we’re grateful for the opportunity to dispel any misinformation. While the mileage stated in your review is inaccurate, you are correct in that we stress the importance of an extended service plan. All of our vehicles undergo a rigorous inspection process, and although we stand behind every vehicle we sell, we simply can’t know the unknown. We recommend that customers purchase an extended service plan to help with costly repairs if the unforeseen should occur, which, unfortunately you experienced. As it stands, you were aware of the remaining term of the warranty when you purchased the vehicle, and were offered the additional coverage which you declined. We are sorry to hear your sentiments towards Curtis as well. Although your review did not mention his offer to provide discounted labor rates to reduce out-of-pocket expenses, we'd still gladly honor the assistance if it helps.
Jake was great with both vehicles we purchased.
Jake was great with both vehicles we purchased. Actually he found us a vehicle that we bought that wasn't even on our radar to begin with. GO SEE JAKE!

Derek and Lubbers made buying a car to fit our growing
Derek and Lubbers made buying a car to fit our growing family a great experience. They were completely transparent about what the total cost of the purchase would be with no surprise expenses when it came time to close the deal. They will be our first stop for future vehicle purchases.
