Horrible. Unprofessional. Wouldn't want to buy a car from them in the future... I sent a request via the link in the add asking a simple question... was the vehicle still available? They responded that I need to send them my phone number in order to get more info. I have no interest sending them my number so they can potentially harass me with endless calls. I responded I wasn't going to sent my number but still interested in the vehicle. Never heard back from them. Unprofessional. And exactly why I didn't want to share my number with them to begin with...

Sleazy!!!! Dont waste your time.
These guys are sleazy to say the least. The ad that brought us to their location 20 minutes away near La Mesa said nothing about a salvage title. Only during a test drive did Mike say it had a "rebuild" salvage title. Im pissed. He then said a third party does their ads, as though it had been overlooked. That just added to the list of lies. Then said all they did was repair the bumper and replaced the headlights, as though insurance would total a $35k car for a bad bumper!!! The Pinocchio's kept coming. Dont waste your time here.

Mike and this entire company have given nothing but terrible service. They don't deliever on what they say they will. They lie through their teeth and waste your time and money. 2 months since I got my car, and I've spent the entire time trying to get it fixed. So many things wrong with it. I've spent hours on the phone with them, taken several days off work because they said they'd fix it, wasted time and money, and had absolutely no results. The mechanic have no idea what they're doing either. Do not trust them!

Auto Maxx of San Diego listed a vehicle for sale through Cars.com and when numerous attempts were made to inquire more information about the vehicle, through Cars.com inquiries and directly through phone calls and voicemails, not one did this dealer respond. Hard to sell a vehicle if no one ever answers or replied to an inquiry about a vehicle listed for sale. I will no longer seek to do business with this dealer.

Mike and Zabi were fantastic. I wanted to surprise my husband with his dream car. I was terrified of the whole process. Even to scared to test drive the car myself! They walked me through everything. They did tell me that the vehicle was involved in a accident and has a branded salvage title and showed before pictures as well as documents of the repairs. I was able to trust them immediately and felt like they truly were looking out for me. That’s a hard thing to find when shopping for a car. They detailed the car perfectly and my husband was blown away. Thank you so much for treating us with such kindness as you would your own family member! Second purchase from Automaxx
This is the second car my wife and I have purchased from Automaxx of San Diego. Our first experience was so amazing that we knew immediately that when we were ready to purchase another car a year later, that we had to go with Automaxx and Mike. They didn't disappoint! Mike was so patient and worked really hard to find the perfect vehicle for my picky taste. He went so far as to special order and purchase a car specifically for me that met all of the requirements I wanted. 2013 4runner
I'll share details of my purchase of a 4 runner. After the vehicle being described as a "Beautiful 4runner", I bought site unseen, trusting that this repair dealership would have my back. Plus they are military friendly business, and I am current military so of course they wouldnt screw me....Flew down from sac and drove it back the 8 hrs. Vehicle pulled pretty hard to the left the entire way back and had an occasional knocking sound from the engine compartment. It also had a pulsing vibration for the entire drive. Didn't inspect the vehicle until the next morning. Now for all the BS. All of the mounting hardware for the air intake was missing, engine oil dipstick handle was broken, mounting hardware for the power steering fluid reservoir had 1 of 3 rubber mounts/securing hardware (hence the knocking sound in the engine compartment), right blinker light socket was incorrect and the light was just hanging there. Wipers needed to be replaced. Two cracks in the windshield. The jacking tools were non existive. Wheels got replaced, fixed the pulling issue. And today I noticed that the right passenger door has a gap in it, not enough leak water, but enough to leak air and road noise. Real xxxx job on the door repair. So with all that said, would I recommend, you the reader, to buy a vehicle from this dealer, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Even though they helped to correct some of these issues, there shouldn't have been these problems in the first place. If a dealer specializes in salvage repair vehicles, I would expect a little more attention to detail then pushing out a vehicle with so many issues. I'm not sure if their body shop is doing shotty work and not telling the dealership, or if the dealership knows about these issues and continues to press with selling shotty vehicles. And yes I understand that salvage vehicles have issues, but if you are going to advertise, that you SPECIALIZE in repair titles, and you get told straight to your face from the owner, "WE DONT PUSH OUT BAD CARS", I expected a lot more.
