I bought a 2022 GMC Sierra Elevation from this
I bought a 2022 GMC Sierra Elevation from this dealership. I drove 2 hours to Lima to test drive the truck, everything was okay until I pulled back into the dealership. I noticed a loud popping noise coming from the front driver side, I informed the sales lady “Mary” what I had heard. She told me the truck was already scheduled to go into the shop to have to the cv boots replaced, so it was more than likely something to do with that. I took her word thinking everything would be inspected and fixed like it should have. After pulling the trigger and buying the truck I noticed the popping noise continued to happen. I called Mary back and informed her what was going on. She said she would talk to the mechanic and let me know what he thought, she then called me back and said that it was because it had bigger custom tires and that I was cutting the wheel to hard, and that’s what was causing the noise. So I continued driving the truck like I normally was, and the noise continued. I recently dropped the truck off at a licensed 4x4 diesel mechanic shop that specializes working on bigger trucks. They told me that they did a diagnostic on the truck and that everything on the front end of the truck was loose on the lift. It was causing the lower control arm to shift back and causing the loud popping noise. Also causing it to go out of the alignment, which worn the two front tires down so quick. I had the dealership put brand new tires on the truck before I bought it, and within a month the two front tires were completely worn down on the outsides of the tires. The 4x4 mechanic shop that has my truck now gave me a quote of $1,200 to fix the truck, I called the dealership multiple times for a week straight, and never got a returned phone call about what was going on. So I reached out to “Mary” the sales lady that sold me my truck, and told her I wanted to see if they could get this worked out for me since it was a ongoing issue before I even bought the truck. After 3 days of texting and no returned phone calls, she eventually texted me back and said, “He came to me and said we were not taking care of anything on it. I explained to him the situation again.” I told Mary to have Shane call me so we could talk about the problem, she said I can give him your information but I can’t guarantee a call I’m sorry! I told her I wanted a call from Shane within the next hour or I would take it a little higher to solve the issue, and hours later she responded and said he had tried to call me 3 times and that he would try again tomorrow. I never received a single phone call from Shawn. From a customers side, paying $70,000 for a truck and trying to have the dealership fix something that I noticed before even buying the truck isn’t wrong at all. This place is very unprofessional, they won’t return your phone calls or help in any way shape or form if you have a problem that has to do with them spending money to fix the issue. I finally talked to Shane Kimmel the GM, and he tried to find every single route out of the situation not to fix the truck. Eventually he told me he couldn’t do anything about it, very unprofessional! Mary lied to Shane about me ever getting ahold of her a month after I had bought the truck to tell her it was still making the loud noises from the front end. I would never recommend this place to anyone or even a family member. Don’t ever go off of what they tell you, make sure you have an actual inspection done to one of there vehicles that your interested in buying. If not it’ll come back to haunt you in the end.
