I received an email from Acura Paragon asking me to come

I received an email from Acura Paragon asking me to come in for a possible vehicle trade-in. I have an Acura RDX. My response to the email was that I was interested, but I wanted an RDX A-Spec with the same payment. His response was, "I would be happy to assist you with upgrading to a newer model while keeping the same payment. An A-Spec vehicle sounds like a great choice!" Unfortunately, this did not happen. I am a long-time Honda/Acura Paragon customer and loyal, too. I live in Westchester and travel to Queens because they have provided exceptional service in the years my husband and I have been doing business with them. After several hours of negotiating, I specifically requested the RDX A-Spec, but it was turned down. I asked for a newer model of the RDX but not A-Spec, and I was turned down. The only option given to me was a vehicle I did not ask to see or want, the Acura ZDX, where I had to pay $300 more on my monthly payment. In my original email, I clearly stated I did not want to spend a dime more than what I am paying now, and he said come in and let’s work the numbers. It was a total waste of my time, and I was misled. It felt like a bait-and-switch scam! After being a loyal customer for years, I left angry, disappointed, and betrayed. My husband and I will cut all ties with Paragon and go to Acura of Westchester instead.
