Down with Lakewood Ford

Vultures ready to rip you off and get every thing out of you they can. Stay away from this place. So many other options out there. Not recommend this place to anyone.

Great Connnection

I ended up going with another dealership due to partnership with my loan group. My experience with Lakewood Ford leading up to my appointment was phenomenal though. Consistent follow up, clear communication, and great understanding when I chose another dealer!

Pre-owned vehicle inquiry

I sent an inquiry for a pre-owned vehicle and did not receive a response. This was roughly two weeks before the Christmas holiday. I eventually found information on the vehicle through other websites.

Quick and Painless!

My experience was overall an excellent one! The staff was kind and helpful to my needs and treated me very respectfully. We came to a pretty easy agreement and they were able to provide everything that i asked for! I will definitely refer any of my family or friends that are in search of a new or used vehicle to Lakewood Ford

Lakewood Ford Fabulous

I HATE car buying. HATE salesman HATE pressure and definitely Hate finance people. However Bob Mitzel made the trip worth it. I saw a 2014 Dodge Charger that I really liked and scheduled a test drive. When we arrived we met Bob. I told him I wanted painless and that is exactly what I received. Within 3 hours we were driving out with the car. I liked the experience so much a week later I saw a 2012 Mustang on the site and drive out and again delt with Bob told him painless and 1 hour later the Mustang was mine. Bob was great, courteous, helpful and friendly. Two car in two weeks just because of one great salesman. Thanks Bob and Thanks Lakewood Ford.

Great buying experience

Be careful using Lakewood Ford's Service Dept.

Be very careful using Lakewood Ford for your service needs. I had my transmission flushed and the very next day the transmission blew up. Lakewood Ford is refusing to accept any responsibility and would have me believe it was purely coincidence that the transmission failed the day after they flushed it. On Wednesday, 10/22/14, I took my 2001 Ford F-250 (7.3 liter diesel) into Lakewood Ford for an oil change and a transmission service / flush. On Thursday, 10/23/14, I left my house for a week long hunting trip to the Naches area off of Hwy 410. I was towing a small horse trailer with my hunting gear. I was on Hwy 410 near mile post 82 (about an hour west of Yakima) when my transmission completely blew up and I was barely able to get off the road. There is no cellular service in this area, but luckily I was caravanning with a hunting partner or I would have been stranded. We left my truck and trailer alongside the road and we drove his truck and travel trailer about an hour away to our hunting camp. Once we reached an area with cell service I was able to arrange for a tow to another Ford dealership in Eastern WA. We drove another hour back down the mountain to my truck where I met the tow operator. On Friday, 10/24/14, the service rep called me and told me the transmission pump seal had failed and the fluid was almost empty. He said there was a lot of metal shavings in the remaining fluid and that the transmission would have to be replaced. He then gave me the repair estimate at $3565.00. I told him about having the transmission serviced the previous day at Lakewood Ford and how I had left there with a clean bill of health. I was then told that their dealership experienced the same scenario on a previous occasion. He said their dealership replaced the transmission at no cost to the costumer. He then explained that flushing the transmission introduces pressure which can cause the pump seal to fail. He said the seal may have been old and week but it is also possible that a good seal can be damaged during this process. I called Lakewood Ford and was referred to my service representative, Micky. Micky was very nice and sympathetic to my predicament. I explained the entire situation including the fact that I was over 3 hours away from home on a hunting trip and that my vehicle was in Eastern WA, about 4 hours from home. I told Micky I was throwing myself at their mercy for any help the dealership could provide with the repair costs. She told me she completely understood, however she was unable to make this decision and she would have to speak with her service manager. By the end of Friday I had not heard back from Lakewood Ford. On Monday, 10/27/14, I called Micky and she told me she was trying to chase down the service manager. On Tuesday 10/28/14, I called and Micky told me she had provided all the information to the service manager and that it was out of her hands at this point. On Wednesday 10/29/14, I called and left a message for Micky asking if she had any updates. Finally at 3:30pm on Wednesday, I received a voicemail from the service manager, Jim Garner. Jim said Lakewood Ford was not assuming any responsibility or offering any assistance and it was his belief that the seal failed on its own. He went on to say the transmission is the weak link in that year truck. The repairs on my truck were finally completed on 11/I3/14. It took so long because parts were on backorder and because I was stalled several days waiting for a reply from Lakewood Ford. I have sent several emails expressing my dissatisfaction to Lakewood Ford asking they be forwarded to the general manager and / or owner. It is now 11/26/14 and I have still not heard from the dealership. I have also made negative reviews on other rating sites which have allowed time for Lakewood Ford to respond prior to posting. They have refused to contact me. Just understand that if you have a problem with Lakewood Ford?s Service Department, it is my experience that they will no

Excellent Communication
