Avoid Ourisman CDJR Clarksville I received a signed purchase order from Ourisman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Clarksville for a 2022 BMW X3 at $31,279 and secured bank financing. I arrived with check in hand to complete the deal, but after more than two hours at the store with my fiancée and elderly father, I was told I had to pay $600 more for tags and title. When I questioned it, the sales manager claimed a “new Maryland law” required the fee, which I later confirmed is not true. This was an illegal post-contract price increase and a misrepresentation of Maryland law. The next day they texted me that they would honor the original price, but the experience had already wasted hours of my time and destroyed my trust in the dealership. I am filing complaints with the Maryland Attorney General, Maryland MVA, FTC, and BBB.

How did I not disclose truthful information regarding the registration details? I simply did not need you guys to order permanent plates since we'd be ordering specialty plates through the police union. Moreover, dealer processing fees are in place just for this purpose, to absorb costs for processing the deal. If you guys didn't charge enough for that, that's not my fault. Your sales manager, on Friday night, straight up said "We f**ed up" and even acknowledge that he would be upset to have to come out of pocket $600 himself in the same situation. Regardless, your dealership sent me a signed purchase agreement for the agreed upon amount, a signed quote for the same amount, and when I clarified the discrepancy prior, adjusted the purchase agreement to match the quote amount. Specifically so I could send it to my bank to get the loan approved and the check cut. I have all the receipts, texts, and emails, and I'm happy to share them with you, as I plan to share with the MVA, Attorney General's Office, FTC, and the CEO of your auto group. What you guys pulled was a classic bait and switch, point blank. I even offered to come out of pocket the $600 after the fact since I was exhausted and just wanted to go home and then was told we'd have to wait even longer to talk to finance. At that point, I was done. In my letter I sent on Saturday, I stated I would be happy to complete the deal for the agreed upon price, if the car was detailed and delivered to me (since I already had to drive back and forth twice), was inspected by my mechanic (since the bait and switch made me lose trust in the dealership, leading me to be skeptical about the mechanical soundness of the car), and if you guys simply apologized to my fiancee and father. I even called back to speak to your general manager, twice, with no response. You guys screwed up, and tried to pass the buck to me, and then didn't have the decency to even respond to me when I called to try and work it out the next day.

Kunta has never responded or reached out no missed calls, messages, or emails. I have called probably 40times. His secretary has confirmed he’s in his office but fails to respond every time.

Standard bait and switch tactics. They advertised a vehicle for sale at a specific price that was significantly below MSRP. When I called about it, and got a written proposal, they added back in $2000 from the MSRP figure, and they lowballed my trade by over $5000. A friend of mine is the GM of a dealership, and he confirmed what I’m saying here. Ourisman website says they are a “family“ dealership. There’s nothing family about them. You’re just a number and a warm body if you’re willing to go along with their high-pressure tactics. I tried to speak with the GM, they wouldn’t let me talk to him, left a voicemail and haven’t heard back, sent an email with no response. Do yourself a favor, ignore the false advertising of low prices, and go somewhere else.

The destination charge is clearly listed online on every new vehicle and shown on all written proposals.—if your friend is a GM, they’d know this. We provide transparent pricing with every line item disclosed, including trade values based on actual market data. Judging a dealership from hours away because we didn’t meet a specific request doesn’t reflect how we treat our local customers, many of whom return because of our honesty and service. Pricing is not transparent. For a used vehicle, expect them to ask for $5,000+ on top of the price listed online. Or else, haggle like all xxxx... and still pay more fees than at other dealers. Or, just take your business elsewhere... No shade to the saleswoman we met, though. She was very nice, and definitely deserves fairer working hours and wages from Ourisman management.
