Layne was an absolute professional. I appreciated his attentiveness, communication and insights while going through the process of getting a new Tiguan. David then closed the chapter in the evening with a positive attitude, laughter and great communication as well. The two of them truly made the experience smooth and reminded me why I keep coming back to Armstrong Volkswagen. We recently worked with Sam at Armstrong Volkswagen to purchase a used 2017 Kia Sorento, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. After a frustrating and disappointing situation at CarMax, which resulted in returning a vehicle, finding Armstrong Volkswagen felt like a breath of fresh air. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in good hands. The entire buying process was incredibly smooth and stress-free. Although we weren’t able to drive the car home that night due to some minor safety-related maintenance (such as replacing brake lights), Sam and the team kept us fully informed and made sure everything was taken care of properly before we took delivery. It was clear they prioritized safety and quality. One of the biggest surprises was how easy the financing process was. Our credit union happened to be one of Armstrong Volkswagen’s preferred lenders, which made the entire transaction seamless—much simpler and quicker than what we experienced at CarMax. To top it off, there was a small cosmetic issue in the trunk—a cracked plastic piece—that I had planned to fix myself since it was purely aesthetic and under $100. To my surprise, I received a text the very next day letting me know that Armstrong was going to take care of it for us at no cost. That level of service and attention to detail really stood out. Every person we interacted with at the dealership was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. It’s rare to find that kind of customer care these days, and we truly appreciate it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Armstrong Volkswagen to anyone looking for a trustworthy dealership and a great car-buying experience.

Very greasy dealership. I have honestly found the 82nd street loan sharks to be more trustworthy. They slipped a $2900 service fee by and can't explain what it was for

Don't waste your time like I did.
Don't waste your time like I did. They responded to an offer to buy my car and told me they would pay more than my online offer. Went in and they confirmed the condition of my car matched what I had noted on my offer, waited for an hour, then they came back with $4k less, total joke of a business. You waste my time, I'm going to make sure everyone hears about it. I took my car to the next place and had the vehicle sold for the price I wanted in about an hour.

AVOID.
AVOID. I purchased a used 2021 Toyota 4Runner from these guys, and while the price was decent, I was lied to at multiple steps throughout the process. First, I was assured that basic maintenance had been performed on the vehicle prior to purchase. About 1000 miles in, I noticed the motor had a slight tick to it. Took the car to Valvoline who noted that the oil level was dangerously low in the vehicle, and when they pulled out the engine air filter and the cabin air filter, it looked like they had never been replaced. Disgusting corner cutting by Armstrong Volkswagen. In addition to that, during the test drive, I noticed a couple of cracks in the windshield. The salesman at the time told me that the windshield would be replaced by the dealership. I mentioned this to Lou, the internet sales guy, who said he would follow up with the sales manager and call me back. They knew I was about to move out of Oregon, and even though I personally followed up with the dealership, I never received a call back. Lou sounded surprised when I followed up asking about the windshield replacement a couple of days later and even asked me "when are you leaving town?" They clearly dragged their feet in order to avoid replacing the windshield with the knowledge that I was leaving soon. The ad said the vehicle came with weatherproof mats. It did not. When inquiring about this, Lou said "oh, the ad must have been wrong." The whole process felt scummy. Avoid at all cost, these guys will do anything to save a buck.
