They screwed up my Aircondtioning system. They demanded more money to do , just the diagnosis.

Poor Honda Servicing
I went to Automation authorized Honda service center for my 2010 Honda odyssey. My car had few issues which I wanted to take care and some suggested by advisor. 1. Loose steering wheel with play. 2. Steering wheel shakes while applying brakes on high speed. Suggested to change brake pad and rotor. 3. Ticking noise on cold engine start and continues later with less noise. I suggested to check rocker arm and lifters. 4. Multipoint inspection. 5. Oil change. 6. Timing belt and valve adjustment. Was suggested to change the timing belt and generally the people would do valve adjustment as its more than 90k miles. So gave the approval for timing belt and later also for valve adjustment. While the car was getting fixed the advisor mentioned oil leak from engine and could fix that in $700 and there is no ticking noise heard. I questioned what kind of oil leak takes $700 to fix and if we fix that later would cost way more, was not satisfied but Gave the approval as its related to engine and wouldn't have to fix ticking noise as its gone with new timing belt tensioner. The Car was taken on Monday for servicing. On Wednesday got a call to pick the car. As soon as the car arrived I can clearly hear the ticking/tapping noise which was meant to be fixed. I didn?t understood how they said the noise is gone. I explained again and Service center agreed that noise is there and they will check the problem and took the vehicle back to diagnose the problem. They could not find the noise and then I went on Friday morning and talked to the director. Director mentioned they wanted to help and will find the issue and would need authorization to tear down with $500.I agreed as I wanted to fix the issue. So starting Friday there was no call from service center and when I called they didn't pick the phone. Then mid-next week the advisor said they don?t know what is causing the ticking noise and might need to change cylinder head itself and which will cost more. I got convinced that service center don?t know what they are finding and don?t know fix the issue. I came here for because they being authorized Honda service center and authorized for another tear down on directors assurance to find problem. After receiving the vehicle and a day of driving. Things not fixed: 1. Loose steering wheel with some play. - Not fixed 2. Ticking noise - Could not even diagnose the issue. 3. Brake Pad ? too loose and have to push much down to apply brakes. What is fixed after spending 5k with these maintenance and two weeks of time. Oil Change and timing belt with valve adjustment which needs to be observed for more days. My feedback is that, this service center can do some routine standard stuff like oil change and some standard fix and their technicians don?t have capability to find and solve the issue even after you explain. Wasting your precious time is another things. My advice is don?t waste your money and precious time in this authorized Honda service center.
