My Toyota Prius V brakes failed early, a serious and well-known safety issue with a class-action in the works, and the store and Toyota corporate didn't cover. As a long time Toyota owner they are losing my trust. Google it - it's well documented. Communications with the sales department was poor when I considered trading in. Service dept comms was ok, easy to discuss.

Best car buying experience!
I called Toyota Sunnyvale about a month ago and put my name on the waiting list for a Highlander Hybrid car. Amir Kandil contacted me yesterday and sent me all the information about a vehicle that matches my need. This morning I went to the dealership and bought the car at MSRP in about one hour. This was the best car purchasing experience I had. When other dealers are charging high mark-ups, Toyota Sunnyvale continues to treat customers with simple pricing and simple process. I am very grateful for their honest and professional service. Amir Kandil is a fantastic salesman. He is passionate, knowledgeable, and very responsive to all my questions. When I arrived this morning, he had already prepared all the documents and he made sure the purchasing process was smooth and efficient. I strongly recommend him.

deeply disappointed and will never go back
This was a horrible experience. I am trying to sell my car. I spoke with George who convinced me to bring my car in for an assessment which he told me would take 15-20 min. 45 minutes later, I had no quote. I had to search out George who told me the manager had to approve the quote and he was unreachable. I asked George to email me. I followed up with George that night. He said the manager was not responding still and he'd get back to me in the morning. I followed up the following afternoon -- still nothing. I phone the manager -- no return phone call. When I again reached out to George, all he said was he was new at the dealership, never had it take this long, and he was sorry. Sorry doesn't do a lot of good when I wasted my time going to the dealership, letting him inspect and drive the car, and then waited for the offer on the car.... or for my time calling the manager and trying to email the dealership. And, you know what.... STILL NO OFFER ON MY CAR.

Pricing at MSRP Applied Selectively
This dealer advertises they sell at MSRP, no haggle. They had a 2021 Tacoma listed on their website at MSRP, and supplied an equote valid for 7 days immediately on request. However, they did not respond to email follow-up and when I called, they claimed the vehicle had 'dealer mod' lift kit and cost $9k above MSRP. I'm skeptical the vehicle is even on the lot yet to be modified, as they don't have a photo posted. All dealers are marking up Tacomas right now, so that's just the current market, no big deal. The bait and switch, however, is real shady. They blast out an email touting their 'sell at MSRP' policy, with a footnote buried at the bottom in--I kid you not--light grey color on white background stating 'modified Tacomas' are the only exception. Don't advertise a 'sell at MSRP' policy if you can't or won't follow through. Real simple. If inventory is tight and demand is high, just be honest and upfront about dealer markups. A dealer add-on with inflated cost is just a dealer market price adjustment. Your customers may not like the market asking price, but being deceptive is way more damaging to your brand. I'm from out of area, so I'm not likely to engage with this dealer again. My local dealer has similar markups, but they've been direct in quoting their asking price and reasoning why it is what it is.
