On August 18, 2020, I walked into Drive 5280 to look at a used Hummer, end up purchasing it and have regretted it since. I completely understand that there is risk when purchasing a used vehicle. But I purchased the vehicle from Ed Bronstine (Owner) because of two reasons: the warranty offered; and the fact that Ed gave me his word that he would work with me if significant issues arose. Then it began……….Within a day I sent a text to Ed notifying them that the vehicle needed an alignment and that a leak was found. Then, on August 29th, the vehicle did not start, so I replaced the battery. Two days later it did not start again. So I was instructed to call the firm that handles potential warrant items and was instructed to bring the vehicle into one of their pre-determined garages for inspection. On September 2nd, I was informed that the Power Steering Pump, Power Steering Line, Motor Mount, Transmission Mount, Radiator, and Radiator Line needed to be replaced and it needed an electronic key (FOB). How in the xxxx was this not identified when 5280 did their inspection of the vehicle???? At this point the bill was already over $2000 and I have only drove it three times. I assumed Ed was going to work with me s after informing him of the issues but instead he replied and I quote “his hands were tied.” So I paid for the repairs and final got the vehicle back after 10 days. On Sept 17th the vehicle would not start again so back to the garage it went. After 33 more days and another $500 bill I finally get the vehicle back home on October 20th. Two days later the vehicle would not start again. From what I am being told this issue was likely present prior to Ed selling me this vehicle. So for the last 90 days I have not drove the vehicle as it is not fit for its intended use. It is not a reliable vehicle. A used piece of junk that I will likely have to sink another $2000 into it just to make it reliable. There is a reason why major banks do not do business with firms like 5280, it because of these issues. That was told to me by my bank, hence the reason you have to get financing from a credit union. It’s sad that Ed bought a vehicle from auction then pawned that headache on me, just to make a profit. I assume people work hard for their money and why you would risk buying a car from this dealership when these potential issues could arise. I have paid an additional $3000 over what I paid for this vehicle and it still is not reliable. What Ed sold me was a headache, a vehicle that is unreliable, just like his word. Go somewhere else.

First Time Buyer
I am 20 years old and this was my first car purchase on my own-so I was very nervous. Buzz and Ed could not have been more helpful and honest. Even with my limited credit history, they got me an amazing first time buyer rate. The car was making an intermittent noise, which made it difficult for them to determine the cause. They promised they would fix it if their mechanic could hear the noise. It took me a couple of trips, but they finally heard and fixed it right away. I am extremely happy with the car and their service.!!

Great to work with
We worked with Ed and Buzz and purchased a Honda Ridgeline from them. They were professional, friendly, and really easy to work with. I hate buying cars and they actually made buying a car painless, fast, and easy. They really worked with us and are super easy-going. I don't usually write reviews, but I told them I would do so because I thoroughly enjoyed working with them and wanted to make sure everyone else knew too. Always trying to support the smaller businesses!

As a first time "used car buyer," I have to say that Drive 5280 made the experience much better than I anticipated. I was dreading the sleazy used car dealership antics that I have heard about from so many others as well as the new car experience of haggling back and forth for hours. The folks at Drive 5280 made sure that neither of those things were experienced. After doing (too much) research online, I showed up at the shop with a spreadsheet comparing and contrasting the cars I had narrowed it down to (it was still about 15) and about a million questions for Ed. I test drove several different CR-Vs, and Ed showed me the Carfax history on each of them and explained how he chooses all his cars in stock. He went over the warranty that they offer and was even willing to look up Carfax on cars at other locations. After sleeping on it, I came back the next day to make the purchase on a 2006 CR-V with 93K miles , but before doing so, Ed let me take the car out for a few hours and even get it "dog approved" since making sure it was dog friendly was a priority of mine. The actual purchasing process only took about 30 minutes while I worked with Buzz. With the insurance money from my previous car that had been totaled I only needed to finance a small amount which Ed allowed me to do in-house at a GREAT deal. I can say that I drove away completely content with not only my purchase but my experience as well. I would, and already have, recommended using Drive 5280 for anyone looking for a used car! And of course the candy and dog treats for customers and pets was an added bonus as I tend to always trust someone who has a love for chocolate and dogs. Thanks, guys!

Stands behind their product
I would encourage you to read the entire story of our visit and why I would give this company 6 stars. But in summary, I have been overly shocked at Ed's honesty and integrity. We got a great vehicle at a great price. Please keep reading to get an idea of why I would recommend Drive 5280 to everyone. It is an example of how they do business and stand behind their product. We just bought a Toyota Highlander Hybrid from them. We worked with both Buzz and Ed. The experience was very straightforward and no hard salesman techniques (and I have seen quite a few techniques). We test drove the vehicle prior to buying it and it drove fantastic. However, there was a rattling noise coming from the steering column. It was driving my wife pretty crazy (and after a week of driving it, I don't blame her). We asked if they would fix it before we purchase the car. They tried, but to no avail. They told us to take it into a dealer and they will cover the costs. We took it in twice for them to figure out the cause of the noise and diagnosed a new steering column. It ended up costing quite a bit of money, and when I spoke to Ed I could tell that he wasn't expecting to pay for that much. This is where I was floored. He said, "I made a promise to you and your wife that we would fix it, and we will. I have learned a hard lesson for the future." I know that it was not a large profit opportunity for them to sell us the vehicle and do the repairs. But they valued the customer and having integrity over making money. My wife told me what I was thinking: "You don't see that very much in this day and age." And she is right. Thank you Ed.

Judah, Thank you very much for your kind review of your buying experience at Drive 5280. We take great pride in the way we handle every customers unique set of circumstances. None of us thought that the "rattle" would end up requiring a new steering column to fix, but we will always" do what we say." I look forward to being your dealer of choice for years to come. Cheers Ed
Excellent experience
Buzz and friends are excellent. Very friendly and approachable. I test drove four vehicles before deciding I liked the Jeep the most. They were super cool about everything and offer a free 5280 mile warranty on all of their awesome vehicles. Just on the west side of the Platte river between South Denver and Denver proper. Go.. Now!

Got more than I was looking for
I was looking for a Chevy Colorado and thought I had found it at another dealer but wasn't comfortable with anything about the deal. Started a new search and found a beautiful 1 owner sunburst orange colorado at DRIVE 5280. Went to look at it and was welcomed by Ed and Jill. They showed me the truck and let me test drive it. WOW it was just what I needed and they made sure I got the right financing. Ed and Jill made my first buying experience very pleasant. Hope to do business here again.

This is my 2nd review of Drive 5280. My 1st experience was fantastic. I purchased a vehicle there about 18months ago and I recently totaled it. I wanted to replace it with a specific make and model, but Drive 5280 did not have it. After 2-weeks of searching I had all but given up on finding it. I went and met with Ed and test drove a few vehicles....all very nice and clean & any would have served me well. I was however determined to get a Lexus GX470. They offered to try and find one for me, but understood I needed a vehicle asap and that would take a while to accomplish. Wouldn't you know it, they sat me down at the computer and helped me try to find a Lexus GX470 somewhere else. They even called around to see if any of their contacts knew of somewhere they could refer me. You simply will not find two guys that care more about helping their customers. I ended up purchasing my dream vehicle somewhere else, but would have loved to have bought it from them. Do yourself a favor and start your vehicle search here. No nonsense, high integrity, great value and I think they do a good job filling their lot with solid vehicles. I'll be back!

You too sir are a man of your word you told me you would come back to us when you were ready for another vehicle and you did. Best regards, Ed

Dear E39 Fan from Richmond, CA Your review of my company as a 1-star is extremely disappointing and unwarranted. Your application was submitted to a few banks. We attempted to relay the outcome of the application to you via one e-mail and two phone calls to the phone number and e-mail provided, with no return call/e-mail from you. We are very sorry that we fell short of your expectations. A BMW 540i "M" is, as you know, a very rare car and won't last long in anyone's inventory. This was a case where the interest level in the car was greater than the availability. We will be sure to let you know if we get another one in stock. Best regards, Ed Bronstine
Fair Deal
Two weeks later and I am still happy with my purchase at Drive 5280. Talked to Buzz on the phone, stopped in and met with Jill for test drive and went back to do the paperwork with Ed. They were all great to work with. I would make another purchase, for the right car or truck.
