About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since January 2024.
What sets us apart from the competition?
ANY vehicle being sold "As-Is" without any type of written warranty is an incredible risk!
A high percentage of people scrutinize the warning labels on most products BEFORE they consider purchasing them.

The disclaimer/As-Is designation on a pre-owned vehicle is merely a warning label that specifically indicates that the vehicle you may/might consider purchasing has current or potential problems.

As vehicles have become more diverse and filled with advanced features the risk or potential for problems has increased as well.

In looking for a car and my credit union told me about

In looking for a car and my credit union told me about Scott’s Family Motors. So my wife and I went to check it out.We were so excited about the cars we saw and the prices were amazing. What also was amazing was the salesman and owner they were so helpful, kind, and courteous. They also did a follow up on my car after I purchased it to see how it was going. I highly recommend going there to purchase a vehicle. It’s nice to have a place to go that you can trust and count on. I can’t say enough how happy I am with my vehicle. Craig McNabb

Using the computer, was looking for a low mileage Town

Using the computer, was looking for a low mileage Town and Country van and Scott Family Motors had one. Problem, I lived in Minnesota and was nearly 3 hours away, one way. Was it worth the drive? I noticed the two crosses in the SCOTT name and decided to make the call. Made an appointment and was not disappointed. The van was clean, the body had no rust and the price was right and got a warranty too. Tim was very accommodating and made the purchase process easy. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Be careful of Scott Family Auto Repairing Your Car

I bought my car earlier from Tim Scott and he told me if repairs were needed later he could do it cheaper. . My car needed some serious repairs to make it safe to drive in the last month so I called him. Sent him the list of all repairs needed plus the list if the ones making the car unsafe - the front and rear brakes and the front cradle. I told him several times I needed my car safe so to concentrate on the 3 that were the most dangerous. He quoted me a price of $825. He told me everything could wait except the front brakes and one other thing. I picked it up and brakes squealed all the way home. I looked at the invoice and saw the front brakes were new but additionally he had added an oil pan gasket for around $500. Within 5 days I had to take the car to a national car service center because of the squealing and they had to fix the brakes because he forgot to put the brake grease between the pads and brakes. That cost me another $130. They also told me I did not need the oil pan gasket fixed and it was not a safety issue anyway. I communicated to him that I was displeased and he went berserk and said he was sick of people like me complaining about his repair work and not to step foot on his property ever again. Be careful of having any repair work done there.

Was looking at Chevy Traverse for carrying the kids

Was looking at Chevy Traverse for carrying the kids around to various activities. This dealer Timmy don't care about any kind of good service. He is 100% into he is going to correct you and tell you how to think. If you want to deal with someone like your 7th grade science teacher who gave you an F on every experiment and who seems to think he is better than all of the world combined, this is your dealership.

We drove 3 hours for a Jeep Liberty. They were amazing. Tim Scott held the Jeep for us until we arrived. They were so friendly they even sent the bank all the information they needed on the vehicle since we were driving. Over all a great experience would highly recommend!!

Must Consider Scott Family!

I have purchased two cars from Scott Family Motors. My experience with Tim and his team has been fantastic. He is an honorable person and represents his business well. He is adept at finding used cars that are well taken care of, and he only sends them out knowing that they are safe and road worthy. He followed up with me in due time to make sure all is well with my purchase. It is well worth anyone’s time to speak with Tim to find a good and reliable used car. His pricing is more than fair in today’s market considering the quality of cars he offers. I will most definitely be a regular buyer from Scott Family!

We've purchased 3 cars for our kids at Scott Family Motors. BEST cars, clean, warranty, lower miles, great prices of anywhere! I'm a drivers ed teacher, and 9 out of 10 sessions, we drive over here, when kids are in need of a car. Tim is great to work with. I highly recommend!! It's our number one go-to, when we need a good, used vehicle!
