I strongly advise against visiting the VW dealership in Dearborn. After leasing my SUV for 21 months, I received a text message from VW Dearborn promoting Volkswagen's Sign then Drive event, which included an offer to cover my first payment and $0 out of pocket. Additionally, they proposed exploring options to reduce my payment and asked when I could visit to discuss further. The representative collin myers followed up by inquiring about my willingness to discuss payment reduction options and requested my feedback. I responded by stating that I would only consider a new vehicle if my monthly payment was reduced. Currently, I am driving a 2023 Atlas Sport with 9,444 miles and my monthly payment is $862. Additionally, I do not have any funds available for a down payment. Collin notified me that Volkswagen's Sign then Drive event had commenced, covering the first payment and eliminating out-of-pocket costs. He suggested reviewing options to reduce the monthly payment and inquired about my availability to meet. Unfortunately, the encounter was marred by dishonesty. Collin presented three quotes on a printed document for a 36-month lease, encompassing 7,500 miles annually, with monthly payments between $1,100 and $1,400. He also requested a down payment ranging from $1,000 to $4,000, which seemed inconsistent with his initial claims about the pricing. He stated that the monthly payment for the 2024 Atlas Sport would be $999. Notably, we have now entered 2025. They had offered cheaper Atlas Sport options, but he presented me with the highest one. I informed him that I was satisfied with my current 2023 Atlas Sport and would only consider a new vehicle if the payments were lower than my current rate. He subsequently reduced the price from $999 to $900, but I declined, stating that the requested amount was excessive and comparable to rent prices. I mentioned that you expect me to pay this monthly in addition to car insurance, which will increase due to my new vehicle. He stated that he can provide me with car insurance from Progressive for $77 a month. I replied that it seems too inexpensive, considering we reside in Michigan. He explained that I would be eligible for the dealership discount on car insurance. I expressed skepticism, referencing the adage 'if it's too good to be true.' He knew that full coverage would involve this. He became annoyed when I denied the payment and the car insurance. He threw his hands up. This person must think I'm unaware. The insurance premium was $77 per month due to the $1000 deductible, $1000 for roadside assistance, and the exclusion of rental, loan, or lease payoff, in addition to a $1000 deductible for comprehensive coverage.Collin Meyers you really tired it. This marks my second visit to this location, and I respectfully request that you refrain from causing unnecessary delays. My time is highly valued.

Hi, we're happy you found our staff to be so supportive during your experience here at LaFontaine Volkswagen Dearborn. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you; we are more than happy to help!
Just got back from there and they wasted our time.
Just got back from there and they wasted our time. We were trying to turn in our lease early for a new lease. Was told by salesman that i might qualify for loyalty program. Maybe even 3000 cash and 0 interest rate. None of them things happened. We were lied to many times even while were were there waiting. Before we went there we told them how much we can afford 485 to 500 and please dont waste our time. The new lease price was around 750. They wanted us to go from 485 to 750 ????? They said if we buy the car that our present payments would go down but when shown the paperwork they wanted over 550 . From 485 to 550??? Our really only choice was to keep the 485 we are paying now. Our third vehicle from them and always paid the payment 2 weeks early and never missed a payment and this is the thanks we get from them

Scammers
Sold us a car without seatbelts in the back, then refused to help us fix it. Made repeated attempts to resolve the issue and we were blown off over and over.

I would put a zero, but I can’t.
I would put a zero, but I can’t. We were just there at 6pm and found that they ran our credit 9 times each. I advised our sales person Sean that we only wanted it ran 2 time and if more was need then we would need to think about it. We are / were trying to get a mortgage for a house. But since those hard credit pulls happened it totally tanked our credit and we are screwed. I trusted Sean to have my back we I told him I only wanted it ran no more than 2 times. He said no problem and would tell the finance manager Christian. I’m not sure if he ever talked to Christian about it. So stressed and upset now. We don’t know what we’re going to do about the house situation now. So much for FAMILY. all they want is a paycheck Update 07/10/23 Calling the number that they gave me and nobody has called me back. The number just rings and rings and rings and nobody has yet to call me back or Matt has decided just to not call me back. Very sad. UPDATE 07/18/23 Still go no phone call from Matt. I called is number 2 dozen times and not 1 answer. PEOPLE if they request for you to contact Matt you will NOT get your issue resolved. This is very sad that this dealership will not contact someone. All they treat you as is a number and paycheck. Other than that they don’t care whose lives they mess up. As long as they get paid that’s all they care about. This dealership is the definition of a “Used car Salesman stigma “. If they want this review down then they need to contact me ASAP

I recently went to dealership to look at a car I was
I recently went to dealership to look at a car I was interested in buying. Upon arrival I was met with the salesman. I did extensive research on the car prior to coming and pointed out that the dealership listed a car mileage incorrectly. After test driving, my mother and I returned to ask for the prices. As my mother was walking around to look at floor models, 2 other salesmen eyeballed her down to the point she was intimidated. After I asked for the out door price, I wanted the salesmen to know there are other vehicles with lower miles and lower price available, and I was wondering why that particular car was marked higher. He immediately gave me attitude and told me that he can’t even sale me the car because it’s no title. I was profiled right away. I do not recommend this dealership. The customer service was the worst dealership I’ve ever step foot in. As a military veteran looking to buy a car I can’t believe the service I received as though I wasn’t worthy of being there. Do not go to this dealership!

Don’t let them near your vehicle.
Had 20k service performed. They didn’t reinstall the oil cap. We noticed at 21k miles when we noticed a bit of smoke from the oil burning off.
