We did a thorough research outside of our home in the Coachella Valley, but we decided to stay locally with Toyota of the Desert. Manager Mariposa and Ryan worked with us in a very cordial and professional manner. They lived up to what it means to have a good rapport with customers, i.e. answering questions, helping us sort out what we really needed, letting us test drive in 116 degrees without a complaint!! We recognized the value of their help and within 2 days we knew Toyota of the Desert was THE dealership to purchase from. I am so elated with my new 2023 Camry SE! Go to Mariposa and Ryan for your own best experience, you will not regret it!!

Lied about used car oil leaks
Charged for oil change and Prius never left the side door at service department during year 1 of pandemic. I was also charged for other maintenance issues and that service was down graded. Awful inexperienced workers.

Very rude and unprofessional service department. No one seems to care about service, just want to sit around and chat with each other or be on their phones. Would not use this dealership again.

The employees here are only concerned about how they can profit off of you. They lack integrity and morals. They failed to disclose the warranties they added to my purchase price as optional and instead presented it as though they were included with my purchase. Don’t let them pressure into stuff you don’t want. The salesman kept saying he was working for me and cared about me, yet he got me the crappiest interest rate available, even though I have a 865 credit score. There are plenty of other dealerships with employees who are willing to help you instead of profit off you. Avoid this place.

Do Not Trust These Salesmen
I am highly disappointed in the integrity of the employees that work here. I was not in the market to buyout my current lease but thanks to an employee who approached me while I was waiting for my car to be serviced, he provided me with some information about the options that I had. He repeatedly kept telling me that he cares about the customers and he doesn’t work for Toyota, he works for the people. His job is to get the best deals for the people. I gave him information about my current situation and right away he says to me, let’s go talk to the salesperson and see what kind of deal we can get you. I should have known right at that moment, this situation was no longer about me and how he can help me, but rather how he can help himself and the dealership make as much money off of me as possible. If he was truly working for me, like he said, why did he come back and offer me an 8.6% interest rate when I have an 865 credit score? I may be naive, but I know xxxx well an 865 credit score will get you better than 8.6% if he actually tried. The people who work here take advantage of uninformed and unprepared buyers. Not once was it ever disclosed what my credit score was or what was being financed in my loan. When “running the numbers” every quote I was shown was based off of a $30k loan, yet behind the counter they were calculating a $41k loan, adding warranties to my total. Not once was I told that I was financing $11k on warranties making my $30k truck now $41k with fees and interest a grand total of $52k. That is absolutely absurd! I could have bought a brand new vehicle with a better interest rate, lower monthly payment and $0 down. Instead I have a $52k loan. Unbelievable. I told them from the beginning I was trading this vehicle in, so why add all those warranties in my loan and continue to encourage me to keep the warranties when I am getting rid of the vehicle? So that you can make a profit off of me right off the bat, meanwhile I suffer when I go to trade the truck in by being upside down on the loan? I understand that I am also at fault for signing the paperwork without asking questions properly and for not even knowing what to ask. Again, I was not prepared to buy a vehicle and hadn’t researched anything on my own, including my credit score. I was there for an oil change. When signing the paperwork, the only option I was given to decline anything was the windshield protection. Everything else was presented as though it was included with my vehicle purchase. I was naive and trusted these people that they actually gave a xxxx about me. NOPE. At the end of the day, the bottom line is how much profit can they make off of you. These people lack morals and integrity and are ok with screwing you over. I will never return to this dealership nor will I ever recommend anyone do business here. I learned a hard lesson from this mess. Don’t trust any dealer/salesperson EVER. No matter how kind and genuine they seem up front. I wish I went back to Toyota of Riverside where I originally purchased my vehicle from.

I did tell the one man that I had photos of it and then I would make a complaint he replied, “go ahead.” I left the dealership service center without my appointment and car serving completed.

The service department is a rip off their liars they take advantage of elderly people don't use them. They are way overpriced and lied to you about what's wrong with your car

Ibrahim Lapaj is awesome.
Ibrahim Lapaj is awesome. He's very respectful, and he values your time. Although the service crew may have taken quite some time to finish servicing my car, which is understandable in a circumstance where there are many people in line to get their cars done, but Ibrahim checked in on me, which is a good indication that I'm valued, and I'm happy to be their customer for more than 5 years now.
