MOST UNPLEASANT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER
MOST UNPLEASANT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I WAS OFFERED MONEY TO DELETE THIS REVIEW BUT I REFUSE. I came into to look at a used truck that I had seen on the internet. Before I arrived to the dealer I had already spoken to a sales person who provided me with the out the door price of the truck. Upon my arrival I had to look for a sales person because the one I spoke to on the phone was off that day. I waited about 10-15 minutes prior to being helped and then a sales manager grabbed Jonathan Guerrero and had him help me out. Jonathan never once seemed interested in the sale at all. I spent another 10 minutes or so looking over the truck and 10 more taking the truck for a test drive. Jonathan sat in an almost awkward silence the entire time. After the test drive I asked to go into the office and talk numbers. Jonathan provided a price two thousand dollars higher than what I was quoted over the phone. I then asked him to go back and check the computer notes for the price I was told over the phone. I explained that I drove two hours to this dealership after days of speaking over the phone because the price was within the ballpark. He then came back with a price that was $600 higher than I was quoted. I then asked to speak the sales manager so we could figure out why the price had changed. At that point Jonathan started become visibly irritated with me and started to become very rude and unprofessional when he spoke to me. He called me liar and argued that they could sell the truck wholesale and make more money than if they sold it to me, to which I commented that Jonathan would not make any commission on the sale if it was sold wholesale so he should make his best effort to solidify a deal. After I said that Jonathan got extremely upset and told me get out the dealership! He walked into the Sales managers office and told them not to sell me the truck. Unfortunately for Jonathan I followed him into the Sales Managers office and spoke with the sales manager directly. I offered to meet him in the middle since we were only $600 apart, which he accepted. At that point I was onto signing paperwork which went fairly smooth. Aisha Ruiz handled the paperwork for me and she was extremely professional and made the process quick. After signing paperwork Jonathan handed me the keys and sent me on my way, no thank you or anything was said by him. Once I got into the truck it wouldn't start because Jonathan made no attempt to turn off the alarm system that the dealer had installed. While I was there another salesman told me that Jonathan has upset multiple customers before and that my experience was not a "one-off" situation. Overall the dealership seems to be professional but they really need to pay closer attention to the people they allow to represent them. No one wants to spend $50,000 in your dealership only to be treated like crap! IF YOU SHOP AT LEXUS CARLSBAD, STEER CLEAR OF JONATHAN GUERERRO!

Bribing your customers does not count as addressing their concerns! Sales Manager Randy DelPrado called me to offer me a gas card in exchange for deleting the review above. Randy was in the dealership the day I purchased the truck and was the one who removed the alarm for me so that I could drive off. He had the opportunity to apologize to me in person but chose not to do so until I posted a bad review. Free gas won’t change the experience I had at Lexus Carlsbad or save you from a bad review!
