DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! From the moment I bought the 2014 Kia Rio, it has been one thing after another. Wouldn’t start, belts breaking, engine overheating, fan wouldn’t shut off, bad battery, headlight issues. I made 3 calls to them and was just told to take it to a mechanic. I was upfront from the start that funds were limited and did not want a lemon. I was assured it was thoroughly looked over and was in good shape. I have already put thousands into it in just a few months - and the most recent nightmare is a leaking head gasket which costs more than the car is worth. I was told they would do NOTHING about it. I was sold a complete LEMON and basically all of the money spent on it went into the trash. And now I am left with no car after only a few months. Problem after problem since day one! They DO NOT CARE and couldn’t be bothered to make it right. DO NOT GO HERE!

Here we go... My experience with Lititz Motor Car has taught me what to look for in a used car. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when it comes to older, high-mileage vehicles. Things can go wrong with little warning. That being said, there were some very obvious red flags that I ignored or was oblivious to. For example, I had to replace a serpentine belt in my vehicle less than a month after purchasing. It was extremely cracked, and my mechanic was surprised that it hadn't yet broken. It's not that this is an expensive part either, so it makes no sense to me why the dealership wouldn't have just replaced it. I can take responsibility for this as I should have been more attentive to a component like this before purchasing. However, some other things went wrong that made me question the integrity of the company. The vehicle I purchased had "passed" inspection about a month before I got it, yet when I bought it, the parking brake was dysfunctional. If this was the case when the car was inspected, it should never have passed. Within a week, my check engine light was on, and to everyone who scanned the code, it became obvious that previous codes had been cleared before I bought it. I had an engine misfire and had to replace a fuel injector and six spark plugs. LMC told us that there was "nothing" they could do because I didn't purchase a warranty for the vehicle. Less than a year later my ac compressor and radiator are also needing to be replaced. The bottom line of this long paragraph is this... if you're shopping here for a used car it's likely because you're looking for something inexpensive and reliable. I can guarantee that your money will be better spent elsewhere at a more reputable dealership.

report them to BBB
these people are lemon car sellers. they don't show real car fax reports and when you get there and ask them for it, they look at you like your sum kind of joke. # 2 the cars they have there they cost more than a brand new 0 miles car SUV, or van at a real dealer. they told me that with 720 credit and 5k down on $21,800 which would of been a balances of $16,800 would of been about $430 a month for a 7 year old car they really capitalizing on their ca ,vans and SUVs btw witch are all trade ins meaning they just throw tags on all their cars and put them out for sale .and the fact they work on their own cars is even worst. I ask them would I be able to have the car checked out at Toyota dealer they told me no Cuz they would find everything wrong with it or should I say everything they covered up to sell the car. then recommend me a shop to go to now I would be really dumb to have taken that advise smh these people know what there doing. reminds me of the father in the Matilda movie the dad was a car dealer crook

Nice used car with great extended coverage
Bought a used 2011 Ford Escape several years back with extended warranty coverage from Freedom Warranty. My car has been running like a charm and most if not all my maintenace has been covered with the extended warranty.

Pathetic people
My experience here started out pretty good, but less than 48 hrs after purchasing a truck at Lititz Motorcar I noticed there was oil leaking from the rear…. I took it to a garage down the street from my home and he showed me that someone had siliconed and painted the rear differential/pumpkin and it was now leaking which meant the truck was in need of an entire rear end replacement… I then took it to another garage and their first question to me was, “where did you get this truck?” I told them and they said, “someone got you!” Told me the same story and it would cost around 3000 to repair. Now I bought the truck as is but there is NO WAY a place that sells used cars and looked as reputable as this place initially did could not have known of this issue….Tanner told me, they don’t have time to look over every car……. I called for 2 days and spoke to Tanner both times and when I asked to speak to the mysterious owner who was never around and allowed his business to be ran by Tanner and the other irresponsible untrustworthy joker, he refused to speak to me… TANNER said his job is to talk to customers and that wasn’t the owners job…. Ken Gingrich is the owners name by the way. Don’t worry you’ll never see him or hear from him….. Ken Gingrich is a GUTLESS business owner who allows his business to be ran by a bunch of scammers…. I guess as long as your making money right Ken! Never mind someone could get hurt in a vehicle you sell because someone tried to cover something up. You can say you didn’t do that and that’s fine but I traveled 2 hrs to pick this up saw rust but I didn’t inspect the rear differential and I’m lucky the “silicone and paint held up as I traveled home 2 hrs with my 10 year old Son in the truck and the gears didn’t seize up on the interstate….that is what makes this a joke….I guess lesson learned these guys aren’t mechanics, and nor am I and they are also not honest about what they sell or they don’t care!!….…I will NEVER have anything good to say about my experience with LITITZ motor car and every time I think of lititz what I will think about is the town that is the home of the most ridiculous, shallow and gutless bunch of people who do not do anything positive to represent themselves, their town of lititz or any website that agrees to put their business online… they are a Joke!!!! The least most reputable group of car salesman or business owners I have ever delt with……… they sell JUNK!!! Don’t fall for their nice young guys cavalier attitude… because it’s FAKE!!! Ken Gingrich, you should think about how your running your business and think about making sure what your selling is safe to be in the road…..and if you don’t know what your looking for allow all vehicles to be looked at by a trained professional……not the kids working at your dealership….

Sold and lemon and followed up with poor service.
Purchased and 2013 ford fusion with under 50,000 miles. Within several months the engine needed to be replaced. Brett and Ken were unwilling and unable to work auto, and just use he extended warranty that was purchased. Auto was worked on by local ford Dealer but we were out of pocket for additional charges. 1400.00 worth of additional charges. Brett and Ken were not willing to help in any way. pathetic! steer clear of these guys! filing a claim with BBB and consumer protection agency.

Experience with my used car...
The salesmen at Lititz Motorcar are very kind, professional, and easy going people. The facade they present is very good. However, I purchase a Honda Civic 2004 from them in July and ever since then I have been running into multiple problems with my car. Prior to purchasing the car, I asked the dealers if there were any problems with the car that I needed to be aware of so that I could take care of it. I asked multiple times if the car was alright and each time they reassured me that there was nothing wrong. After one week, the battery in the car died. I was able to get it jumped and bring it in to a nearby Pepboys. After further checking out the situation with the car, I was told that my Oil Pan gasket was leaking oil and that it needed to be replaced. The car also needed a serious alignment. The replacement of the battery, the alignment, and the oil pan gasket came to a total cost of $850. Within the same week, my SRS light on my dashboard came on. After a week or two, I was able to bring it in to a Honda Dealership (who are only able to diagnose and repair SRS issues). The SRS issue will be fixed for free. HOWEVER, a deep, complete, diagnosis was done and now my car has an additional $2000 of repairs that need to be done (timing belt replacement, filter replacements, several flushes, and bushings replacements). This is my first car and now having to handle all of these repair costs after asking if there were any problems with the car prior to buying it really makes me fearful with any car purchases in the future. In addition, when asking questions about the car, I brought up the possibility of the car getting detailing and I was told that the car had been detailed. The interior of the car smelt strongly of mustard and covered in dirt. I even found dried baby food in the passenger back pocket! Stains everywhere in the cloth and rugs and the dashboard was grimy. I understand that Lititz Motorcar has handle a lot with it's constant turn over of cars and the staff is more family-based than company-based with the number of people employed. I do wish that quality was the primary goal instead of quantity.

Extremely frustrating
Found a truck we wanted to see, called ahead to make sure it was still available. Met up with my husband and was almost at the dealer when we got a call stating the truck was taken out to get inspected. Total waste of our time and frustrating to no end that vehicles are put on websites prior to actually being available. Moving on to another dealer.

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE
Two days after purchasing a GMC Acadia here the check engine like came on. Took it back and they hooked the car to the computer and cleared the light and told us to come back if it came back. Light came back on the next day. Took it back to have them look at the car to determine the problem. After the vehicle being there for 2 days and multiple calls to them to find out what was wrong and to get an estimate they called back to tell me they “ fixed” the problem the cheaper way so they could avoid the cost of replacing a timing chain. They then charged us when they were never told to fix it in the first place but only look and give an estimate. Two days later the check engine light came back on reading the same “ timing chain” code. We then tried for a month to get ahold of Lititz Motorcar for a month to get an estimate to replace the timing chain. Phone calls were never returned. After speaking with out mechanic he Informed us that this is a common problem in the 2010 Acadia and that it is common for the motor to go shortly after the timing chain. We drove to Lititz motor care to have something done since they sold us a car they knew had problems and they did nothing and would charge us between 1500-3000 to fix the problem ( we will not be having the car fixed from these scammers) The mechanic at Lititz never seemed to be available to talk when we had a question and the sales manager was only relaying conversations. This check engine like was on before we purchased the car and the cleared it so we would not know the car had problems until we had the car for a couple days. They then delayed responses so that it would be past the 30 warranty. This place is a rip off and sold us a LEMON. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NEVER PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM HERE!!!
